This is a good sign. The opponent was virulently anti-Trump (and the race was close because Virginia Republicans are about half retarded).
The Virginia Senate contest will officially be a happening at least until election day, as a fearless, pro-Trump Republican, Corey Stewart, will try to magnify the glory of GEOTUS for a largely blue-state electorate.
Odds are against Corey, but it will be fun to watch.

Many people consider Kaine a fraudulent putz who speaks articulately, and in Virginia the latter carries far more weight than the former, because of something called "the Virginia way" - which basically means policies, positions, past don't matter, as long as you smile and don't rock the boat.
Even after his terrible showing in the presidential campaign, Kaine is likely a 2-1 favorite to win in November, over the rude Republican.
