Second is to find outr what flights were in the area, in particular passing the Aleutian Islands where the 3 volcanoes were, at that point in time. Q has had people back and forth to Singapore for a while now. It is feasible that a Q team member and other MI went from Montreal to Singapore to do prep work.

We need to dig. In an investigation, one mistake, one wrong piece of info, does not make the whole investigation invalid. We need to carefully think through ALL THE LINES OF ENQUIRY and eliminate them, or confirm them, one by one.

First, the CIA got permission to buy a couple of subs back in the 1960's. They would have acquired the same nuclear missile subs as the Navy. So the human intervention issue is covered if we assume there is still a rogue sub out there. That also explains why the US Navy said it was not a missile. They are assuming that if it was not theirs, it does not exist.

Also, the Royal Navy is another possibility although a slim one.

As for exposure time, a short fast explains the photo. That contrail is pretty bright which would trigger a fast exposure. Also, modern digital cameras have on-board processing to get sharper pictures that include detecting motion and preventing motion blur. So it is entirely possible that different parts of the image were processed differently to get a clear image of the dark clouds as well as the bright contrail.

Reasonable theory, but you have no evidence. You need to overlay the plane's flight path on the Whidbey area map, and draw a line showing the direction of view of the camera.

It would also help to set up a camera on a tripod, and take two shots 20 seconds apart, of another flight from SEA to an Alaskan destination. That would tell us if a commercial flight would explain the length of that contrail.
