Not disputing what this anon said, just adding some detail.
Cain wasn't raised because God didn't kill him. God marked him in the forehead so the people in the Land of Nod would know he belong to God and they were not to kill him, then God banished Cain there.
I never knew where "raisin' cain" came from. It means raise a ruckus in my world. Never thought much about it, but above anon gave good info.
