Ezra Miller, star of 'The Flash,' charged with felony burglary in Vermont

Actor Ezra Miller has been charged with felony burglary in Stamford, Vermont, the latest in a string of incidents involving the embattled star of "The Flash."

In a report Monday, Vermont State Police said they responded to a burglary complaint in Stamford on May 1 and found several bottles of alcohol were taken from a residence while the homeowners weren't present. Miller was charged after police consulted surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses.

The police report said Miller was located shortly before midnight Sunday and was issued a citation to appear for arraignment in Vermont Superior Court on Sept. 26.

The felony charge adds to Miller's mounting legal woes and reports of erratic behavior. The 29-year-old actor was arrested twice earlier this year in Hawaii, including for disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar. The second incident was for second-degree assault.

The parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, a Native American activist, also earlier this year filed a protection order against Miller, accusing the actor of grooming their child and other inappropriate behavior with her as a minor from the age of 12. Tokata Iron Eyes recently told Insider that those allegations were false.

Attorneys for Miller didn't immediately respond to requests for comment on the Vermont felony charge or the protection order related to Tokata Iron Eyes.

After appearing in several films for Warner Bros. and D.C. Films as the Flash, Miller stars in the upcoming standalone film "The Flash," due out in June 2023. Though Warner Bros. last week axed the nearly completed "Batgirl" film, the studio has suggested it remains committed to releasing "The Flash."

In an earnings report last week, David Zaslav, chief executive of Warner Bros. Discovery referenced "The Flash." "We have seen 'The Flash,' 'Black Adam' and 'Shazam 2. We are very excited about them," said Zaslav. "We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better."

Representatives for Warner Bros. didn't respond to messages Monday.

Democrat congressional staffer posing as an FBI agent to control MAGA crowd in D.C. escaped from cops on bikes in a fake police car

Sterling Devion Carter, 25, led bike cops on a chase through Washington, D.C. after impersonating an FBI agent

Carter had crafted a fake police cruiser complete with a spotlight and dashboard laptop mount

He escaped the officers in the 2020 pursuit, but was tracked down weeks later in his parents' home state of Georgia

He was also found to have raised his own salary significantly by forging signatures and submitting unauthorized documents

Two plainclothes officers with the Secret Service were busy dealing with angry, post-election MAGA protests in Washington when they spotted what looked like a police car with an odd license plate; the font seemed taller and bolder than it should be. But the rest of it looked authentic. To the untrained eye, the blue Ford Taurus would easily pass as an unmarked police cruiser. According to D.C. court documents, Carter had tricked out the otherwise boring sedan with blue emergency lights, a laptop computer mount on the front dashboard, a spotlight near the driver’s side view mirror, and even a barrier separating the front half from the back half—ready to transport detainees.

Carter, who was standing near his parked car, was wearing a black T-shirt that read “federal agent,” a police duty belt, a Glock pistol, extra ammunition, handcuffs, a radio, and an earpiece. That was enough to convince passersby, who kept thanking him for his service, according to court records.

The closer real federal agents got to him, the more Carter moved away toward city police already on scene, this person recalled. When the agents ran the suspicious car’s plates, the results came back empty.

Shortly after noon, the agents contacted the Secret Service Joint Operations Center and asked for uniformed officers to confront this mystery man. When five bicycle cops with the Secret Service approached him, Carter simply said he was “FBI,” according to a police report. His baseball cap and facemask made it difficult to identify his face, the police report said. When they asked him for credentials, he said he didn’t have them on him, then flipped on his emergency lights and sped away. One agent pedaled as hard as he could on an electric bike through several D.C. streets, but gave up after a few blocks for “officer safety reasons,” the report says.

>Judge Who Signed Off on FBI Mar-a-Lago Raid Warrant Once Quit His Job to Represent Jeffrey Epstein's Associates

Jeffrey Epstein also hired Bruce Reinhart, then an assistant U.S. attorney in South Florida, now a U.S. magistrate. He left the U.S. Attorney’s Office (which was prosecuting Epstein) on Jan. 1, 2008, and went to work representing Epstein’s employees on Jan. 2, 2008, court records show. In 2011, Reinhart was named in the Crime Victims’ Rights Act lawsuit, which accused him of violating Justice Department policies by switching sides, implying that he leveraged inside information about Epstein’s investigation to curry favor with Epstein.

Reinhart’s defection was one of many highly unusual turns that the Epstein case took 12 years ago, moves that could merit examination as the multimillionaire’s controversial non-prosecution agreement is dissected in the wake of his arrest last week on sex trafficking charges.

Reinhart swore, under penalty of perjury, in a 2011 affidavit that he wasn't part of the team involved in the Epstein investigation and thus wasn't privy to any confidential information while at the U.S. Attorney's office, but as the Herald points out:

Reinhart’s former supervisors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office filed a court paper contradicting him, saying that “while Bruce E. Reinhart was an assistant U.S. attorney, he learned confidential, non-public information about the Epstein matter.

Serena Williams is Vogue's September Cover Star!

“I have never liked the word retirement,” Serena Williams tells Vogue. “Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution. I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me.”

For Vogue’s September issue, the 23-time grand slam winner sat down with contributing editor Rob Haskell to compose her thoughts as she prepares to say farewell to tennis—on her own terms. “It’s the hardest thing that I could ever imagine,” she says. “I don’t want it to be over, but at the same time I’m ready for what’s next.”
