Ezra Miller, star of 'The Flash,' charged with felony burglary in Vermont

Actor Ezra Miller has been charged with felony burglary in Stamford, Vermont, the latest in a string of incidents involving the embattled star of "The Flash."

In a report Monday, Vermont State Police said they responded to a burglary complaint in Stamford on May 1 and found several bottles of alcohol were taken from a residence while the homeowners weren't present. Miller was charged after police consulted surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses.

The police report said Miller was located shortly before midnight Sunday and was issued a citation to appear for arraignment in Vermont Superior Court on Sept. 26.

The felony charge adds to Miller's mounting legal woes and reports of erratic behavior. The 29-year-old actor was arrested twice earlier this year in Hawaii, including for disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar. The second incident was for second-degree assault.

The parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, a Native American activist, also earlier this year filed a protection order against Miller, accusing the actor of grooming their child and other inappropriate behavior with her as a minor from the age of 12. Tokata Iron Eyes recently told Insider that those allegations were false.

Attorneys for Miller didn't immediately respond to requests for comment on the Vermont felony charge or the protection order related to Tokata Iron Eyes.

After appearing in several films for Warner Bros. and D.C. Films as the Flash, Miller stars in the upcoming standalone film "The Flash," due out in June 2023. Though Warner Bros. last week axed the nearly completed "Batgirl" film, the studio has suggested it remains committed to releasing "The Flash."

In an earnings report last week, David Zaslav, chief executive of Warner Bros. Discovery referenced "The Flash." "We have seen 'The Flash,' 'Black Adam' and 'Shazam 2. We are very excited about them," said Zaslav. "We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better."

Representatives for Warner Bros. didn't respond to messages Monday.

If I was writing it, id try and post and if it didn't work, then I'd look for the captcha. I think that the board is either set up where an admin/bo/bv doesn't have to use the captcha and it's one of them, or the bot dev has figured out how to bypass or solve it.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Little Black Book of Princes’, Law Professors and Now this Prosecutor turned Judge is Just Horrifying

While Bruce E. Reinhart was an assistant U.S. attorney, he learned confidential, non-public information about the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The U.S. magistrate overseeing the legal battle between Craig Wright and the estate of Dave Kleiman over who owns a $10 billion bitcoin fortune and Bitcoin’s underlying IP is not without controversy of his own:

Bruce Reinhart once quit his job as a U.S. Attorney to work for Jeffrey Epstein, the multimillionaire accused sex trafficker who was being targeted in a probe by the U.S. Attorney’s office.

As reported in the Miami Herald on November 28, 2018:

Epstein also hired Bruce Reinhart, then an assistant U.S. attorney in South Florida, now a U.S. magistrate.

He left the U.S. Attorney’s Office on Jan. 1, 2008, and went to work representing Epstein’s employees on Jan. 2, 2008, court records show.

In 2011, Reinhart was named in the Crime Victims’ Rights Act lawsuit, which accused him of violating Justice Department policies by switching sides, implying that he leveraged inside information about Epstein’s investigation to curry favor with Epstein.

Also reported in the Miami Herald, Reinhart made plans that would establish his private practice while still in office:

On Oct 23, 2007, as federal prosecutors in South Florida were in the midst of tense negotiations to finalize a plea deal with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, a senior prosecutor in their office was quietly laying out plans to leave the U.S. attorney’s office after 11 years.

“On that date, as emails were flying between Epstein’s lawyers and federal prosecutors, Bruce E. Reinhart, now a federal magistrate, opened a limited liability company in Florida that established what would become his new criminal defense practice.”

In 2011 affidavit, Reinhart swore, under penalty of perjury that

“he was not part of the team involved in Epstein’s investigation and therefore was not privy to any confidential information about the case”

while he was at the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

However, as the Miami Herald points out:

Reinhart’s former supervisors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office filed a court paper contradicting him, saying that

“while Bruce E. Reinhart was an assistant U.S. attorney, he learned confidential, non-public information about the Epstein matter.’’

In one of the 2011 Epstein cases— Jane Does # 1 and #2 v. United States— Reinhart took offense at the idea that he did anything wrong. In that motion, the plaintiffs alleged that Reinhart:

Joined Epstein’s payroll shortly after important decisions were made limiting Epstein’s criminal liability’ and improperly represented Epstein victims in follow-on civil suits. (DE 48 at 22). Plaintiffs contend that such conduct ‘give[s], at least, the improper appearance that Reinhart may have attempted to curry [favor] with Epstein and then reap his reward through favorable employment.’ (DE 48 at 23).

Reinhart takes great offense to these accusation—which he contends are false, irrelevant to the CVRA claims, and gratuitous—and seeks intervention to rebut these allegations and move for sanction.

In 2012, he went to work for the white collar crime division of McDonald Hopkins LLC in Miami. At the time, a public relations firm put out a press release stating, “Since 2008, Reinhart has been in private practice providing white collar and complex civil litigation strategies for a variety of businesses, executives and nonprofit entities around the country.”

As Julie K. Brown of the Miami Herald put it:

Reinhart’s defection was one of many highly unusual turns that the Epstein case took 12 years ago, moves that could merit examination as the multimillionaire’s controversial non-prosecution agreement is dissected in the wake of his arrest last week on sex trafficking charges.

In 2015, Reinhart defended Epstein on TV not as his attorney of seven years but as a legal expert and a “former U.S. prosecutor.”

Reinhart was appointed U.S. magistrate in March 2018, nearly a year after R. Alexander Acosta began his stint as Labor Secretary. Acosta resigned on July 19, 2019 over his handling of the Epstein case. At the time, Reinhart is recorded in the Palm Beach Post as saying, “It’s been a good week in our house.”

That was odd because the next sentence is about a guilty verdict for a client:

“He recently represented former Boynton Beach police officer Michael Brown. The veteran cop last month was sentenced to six months house arrest and three years of probation…”

The Sun Sentinel headline on the story on November 10, 2017 was, “Boynton Beach cop found guilty in beating of unarmed man.”

On Monday night, the FBI executed a search warrant at the home of a former U.S. president; it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. No, just f–king with you, of course: it happened to Donald Trump, a man whose epitaph should read “one-man crime spree,” right next to “Four Seasons Total Landscaping” and “They were going to do fruit.” The raid reportedly related to the government documents Trump took with him to Mar-a-Lago when he left the White House, which are said to have included classified, and in some cases “top secret,” materials.

The news was broken by local journalist Peter Schorsch, followed by a press release about the incident from none other than Trump himself, who wrote: “These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this announced raided on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by the Radial Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats book into the home of the 45th president.” Obviously, the astonishment at the idea that the Feds would search his safe, i.e. a place where people typically hide things of great value—like, perhaps, highly sensitive documents—is the best part. Also, the fact that it happened on the anniversary of the day Richard Nixon announced he would resign.

According to the New York Times’s Maggie Haberman, Trump was not at Mar-a-Lago when the raid took place, but at his golf club Bedminster, NJ, “preparing for a deposition with the New York attorney general in a civil matter related to his finances.” (Here, let’s pause to note the incredible number of legal fronts on which the ex-president appears to be screwed.) As many have noted, the Feds would have had to get permission from a judge to search Mar-a-Lago, and it is a big freaking deal that there was enough evidence, and probable cause of a crime, that a judge gave them the go-ahead. On Twitter, former Obama adviser David Axelrod and others said that it was nearly without question that Attorney General Merrick Garland— known for not wanting to do anything that would politicize the Justice Department—would have had to sign off on the whole thing. The current director of the FBI, Christopher Wray was appointed by Trump, after he fired James Comey. Both the FBI and the Justice Deparemtent declined the Times’ request for comment.

Earlier this year, the National Archives removed from Mar-a-Lago the 15 boxes of documents and other items Trump had taken with him, which the Washington Post reported “indicated there were questions about whether Trump violated the Presidential Records Act, which requires the preservation of memos, letters, notes, emails, faxes and other written communications related to a president’s official duties.” As the Times noted on Monday, the Presidential Records Act, “lacks teeth, but criminal statutes can come into play, especially in the case of classified material.” Criminal codes carry jail time for anyone who “willfully injures or commits any depredation against any property of the United States” and “willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates or destroys” government documents. Speaking of the mutilation of documents: also on Monday, before the news of the search broke, Axios published photos of documents Trump is said to have clogged the White House toilets with.

Almost immediately after Trump tweeted that the search had occurred, his allies were insisting it was evidence that the FBI and DOJ were corrupt entities that needed to be gutted. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said we must “DEFUND THE FBI.” Eric Trump, echoing his dad, claimed only third world countries hold people accountable in such a manner. Donald Trump Jr. hysterically tweeted: “Biden's out of control DOJ is ripping this country apart with how they're openly targeting their political enemies. This is what you see happen in 3rd World Banana Republics!!!” Republican House leader—y’know, the one who vowed to hold Trump accountable in the days following January 6 and then decided to do the opposite—vowed to get revenge on Garland. Perhaps most alarmingly, NBC News reporter Ben Collins noted that “The posts on these pro-Trump forums tonight are as violent as I've seen them since before January 6th. Maybe even moreso.”

The bot is able to find the captcha image somehow, by it's name, or special css, or navigating the dom.
