2009 executive order stripped prior presidents' standing to maintain executive privilege. Court hearing Friday in Navarro case could challenge that.

White House Deputy Counsel Jonathan Su was a busy man, at least when it came to carrying out President Joe Biden's wish to eliminate former President Donald Trump's claims that materials and testimony from his presidency were covered by executive privilege.

Su sent letters to former Trump adviser Steve Bannon last October and former advisers Peter Navarro and Gen. Mike Flynn in February informing them that the incumbent president had waived any claims Trump might have that testimony or evidence they might provide the House Jan. 6 committee was covered by executive privilege.

"President Biden determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not justified with respect to a set of documents shedding light on events within the White House on and about January 6, 2021," Su wrote Bannon attorney Robert Costello last Oct. 18.

In a Feb. 28 letter to Navarro, Su wrote, "In light of unique and extraordinary nature of the matters under investigation, President Biden has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the national interest, and therefore is not justified."

By spring, Su had also given permission to the National Archives to reject Trump's claims of privilege over documents with classified markings held at Mar-a-Lago so that the FBI could open a criminal investigation of the former president.

"The Counsel to the President has informed me that, in light of the particular circumstances presented here, President Biden defers to my determination, in consultation with the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel, regarding whether or not I should uphold the former President's purported 'protective assertion of executive privilege,'" acting National Archivist Debra Steidel Wall wrote Trump's lawyers on May 8. "… I have therefore decided not to honor the former President's 'protective' claim of privilege."

Damage to Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant revealed (VIDEO 3:22)

RT has visited the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in southern Ukraine, seeing firsthand the aftermath of the shelling of the facility by Ukrainian forces.

The largest nuclear power plant in Europe was seized by Russian forces in late February. Russia’s National Guard and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Troops are keeping the facility safe as the plant continues to operate with Ukrainian staff.

Kiev’s troops have been firing at the plant and the nearby city of Energodar from the opposite site of the large Kakhovka water reservoir, the Russian Defense Ministry said earlier.

The falling shells damaged the facades of some buildings, while missile parts are still stuck in the ground. One of the water pumping stations was hit, but continues to operate as most of the equipment is hidden underground.

“This [impact] crater within the vicinity of the cleaning facilities was created last Saturday due to shelling by Ukrainian forces,” RT’s Alexey Repin reports. “Literally 150 meters from here in the plant’s fifth power unit, and it’s still working, just around the corner.”

“At the moment, the radiation at the station, as well as the surrounding areas, is within the norms. The shelling hit mostly auxiliary equipment, hydrogen, and oxygen facilities,” a member of the Russian nuclear defense troops told RT. “We’re trying to repair the damage as soon as possible, so that the nuclear plant will not have to halt its operations.”

Nevertheless, Moscow has repeatedly warned that the shelling could make the plant inoperable or cause a nuclear disaster similar to the one in Chernobyl in 1986. The shelling had already caused several fires and power outages at the plant this month, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Biden Accused of Operating ‘World’s Largest Child Smuggling Ring’

Joe Biden’s open borders agenda is responsible for operating the “world’s largest child smuggling operation,” with the Democrat agenda responsible for more than a quarter million illegal alien children entering the United States since 2020.

It’s no secret that Joe Biden has a predilection for children. The nation has repeatedly cringed as he fondles, sniffs, and gropes young children on camera, the Washington Post dubbed him “Ol’ Creepy Joe” in 2016, and his own son calls him “Pedo Peter” behind his back. It’s also no secret that on Biden’s first day in office, he created a crisis at America’s southern border by canceling the security measures installed by President Trump, the Remain in Mexico policy, the border wall construction and more.

Since then, an estimated five million illegal aliens have breached the border and come into the United States.

But the problem is bigger than that, according to Stephen Miller, who served as the architect of Trump’s border strategy.

The open borders agenda has made Biden the operator of “the largest child smuggling operation our world has ever seen.”

The remarks were revealed in Paul Bedard’s Washington Secrets column at the Washington Examiner.

WND report Miller pointed out that Biden’s “open-borders agenda” already has moved more than “250,000 illegal migrant minors in cities around the nation.”

The Examiner’s report noted 257,110 migrant children have been sent to “sponsors,” some of whom may be unvetted, since Biden took office.

Experts Now Claim Children With Monkeypox Symptoms Actually Have ‘Tomato Flu’

Large numbers of children are suddenly being diagnosed with a new “rare and mysterious” disease that mimics monkeypox, and experts are baffled as to where the outbreak may have originated.

According to a report published in the Lancet Respiratory Medicine Journal, “tomato flu” was first discovered on May 6 in India and has since infected children ages 1 to 9.

“Just as we are dealing with the probable emergence of fourth wave of COVID-19, a new virus known as tomato flu, or tomato fever, has emerged in India in the state of Kerala in children younger than 5 years,” the Lancet Journal declared on its website.

Thegatewaypundit.com reports: Tomato flu was first discovered on May 6, 2022, in the Kollam district of Kerala, and as of July 26, 2022, more than 82 cases in children younger than 5 years old have been reported by local government hospitals.

In addition, at the Odisha Regional Medical Research Centre in Bhubaneswar, 26 children were suspected of having cases of tomato flu. These kids range in age from 1 to 9.

“The rare viral infection is in an endemic state and is considered non-life-threatening; however, because of the dreadful experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, the vigilant management is desirable to prevent further outbreaks,” according to Lancet Journal.

Tomato Flu or tomato fever is an uncommon viral disease with symptoms that are comparable to Covid-19 and blisters that resembles with monkeypox virus.

‘Military Grade Psy-Op’: Whistleblower Admits Twitter Narrative Is Controlled By Millions of Bots

Twitter is overrun by millions of bots engaged in ‘social conditioning’ according to a whistleblower who says the problem is so extreme that executives are turning a blind eye and do not have any real idea of how many bots are active on the platform.

Twitter’s board has been covering up its ‘extreme, egregious deficiencies’ that make it a huge risk to national security and democracy, the whistleblower Peiter ‘Mudge’ Zatko has claimed.

Zatko, the social media firm’s former head of security, made the bombshell disclosure to Congress and federal agencies last month.

He claimed the tech giant is completely mismanaged with thousands of staff given access to central controls and the most sensitive information without adequate oversight.

DailyMail report: Zatko, who reported directly to CEO Jack Dorsey and his replacement Parag Agrawal, said senior executives have been ‘covering up’ the platform’s biggest vulnerabilities, and even claimed one or multiple employees could be working as a spy for foreign intelligence services.

The whistleblower said bosses have misled the board and regulators about its security flaws that have made it susceptible to hacking, manipulation and disinformation.

In claims that will bolster Elon Musk’s legal bid, Zatko also said Twitter chiefs do not have the resources to know how many bots are on the site.

The Tesla CEO claimed the platform has not been truthful about the number of bots and fake accounts among its 238 million daily active users, and subsequently backed out of his $44billion takeover deal.

Zatko, who previously worked at Google and the Department of Defense, also alleged that Twitter does not reliably delete user data after an account is cancelled, often because staff have lost track of it.

The disclosure describes his overall findings as ‘egregious deficiencies, negligence, willful ignorance, and threats to national security and democracy.’

His colorful career began in the 1990s, when he simultaneously conducted classified work for a government contractor and was among the leaders of Cult of the Dead Cow, a hacking group notorious for releasing Windows hacking tools in order to goad Microsoft into improving security.

He was appointed to Twitter to recommend changes in structure and practices to bolster its security after a series of damaging compromises that saw users including Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Elon Musk hacked.

He said at the time he will examine ‘information security, site integrity, physical security, platform integrity – which starts to touch on abuse and manipulation of the platform – and engineering.’

But he was fired in January for what the company claimed was poor performance but what he said was retaliation.

The tech wizard said he tried to flag the security lapses to the board before he went public.

Update (0850ET): Following the Washington Post's story on the Twitter whistleblower complaint, Elon Musk's legal team said they want to interview the former head of security Peiter Zatko.

CNN's Donnie O'Sullivan tweeted moments ago that Musk's lawyer Alex Spiro wants to speak with the Twitter whistleblower:

"We have already issued a subpoena for Mr. Zatko, and we found his exit and that of other key employees curious in light of what we have been finding."

One day after Elon Musk's legal team subpoenaed former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey as part of an ongoing effort to fight a lawsuit by the social media company to force the billionaire to move forward with the $44 billion acquisition deal. The Washington Post released a new report alleging executives deceived federal regulators and the company's board about "extreme, egregious deficiencies" to combat hackers.

WaPo cited a whistleblower complaint from the former head of security Peiter Zatko who said some of the company's servers are running out-of-date software, and executives withheld critical information about data breaches. Bezo's news outlet interviewed more than a dozen current and former employees about past deficiencies.

The complaint was filed last month with the SEC, DoJ, and FTC. It said thousands of employees had access to core company software, which led to data breaches and hacks of high-profile users.

WaPo said the whistleblower document alleges executives prioritized user growth over reducing spam and rewarded executives cash bonuses up to $10 million to increase the number of daily users.

The complaint noted Chief Executive Parag Agrawal was "lying" when he said in May the company was "strongly incentivized to detect and remove as much spam as we possibly can."

In a WaPo interview, Zatko said his decision to reveal Twitter's failures to the public is an extension of his previous work exposing security flaws within the company.

"I felt ethically bound. This is not a light step to take," said Zatko, who was fired by Agrawal in January. He declined to discuss what happened at Twitter, except to stand by the formal complaint. Under SEC whistleblower rules, he is entitled to legal protection against retaliation, as well as potential monetary rewards. -WaPo
