Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin and Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley announced that the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on alleged security failures at Twitter following a whistleblower complaint from the company's former security chief.

Scheduled for Sept. 13, the hearing will feature testimony from whistleblower Peiter "Mudge" Zatko, a prominent hacker and the firm's former security chief, according to a press release from Durbin and Grassley.

Zatko lodged his complaint in July, alleging “extreme, egregious deficiencies” in the firm's security and ability to protect its users. He further alleged that the company misled the federal government with false claims that it had readied a security plan and that it withheld data about the frequency of security breaches.

“Mr. Zatko’s allegations of widespread security failures and foreign state actor interference at Twitter raise serious concerns," the senators wrote. "If these claims are accurate, they may show dangerous data privacy and security risks for Twitter users around the world."

It's become common to refer to President Joe Biden's efforts to "revive" the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, from which his predecessor withdrew the U.S. in 2018. Indeed, Biden administration officials have for months defended their efforts to seek a "mutual return to compliance" with the accord to curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for providing large-scale sanctions relief.

Such terminology, however, is inaccurate and even misleading, according to experts and former U.S. officials who spoke to Just the News. They warned the current deal being negotiated is an entirely different arrangement than what was finalized under former President Barack Obama, containing more U.S. concessions and serving Iran's interests in dangerous and enduring ways.

"It's structurally and technically a very different deal," said Gabriel Noronha, who served as a special adviser on Iran at the State Department. "It's more advantageous to Iran."

Noronha, who's had access to Iranian government documents and earlier this year was leaked key details of the nuclear talks by U.S. and European officials, pointed first and foremost to the type and breadth of sanctions on Iran that would be lifted under a deal.

According to a Foundation for Defense of Democracies analysis, the new deal would give Iran access to $274 billion in its first year and at least $1 trillion by 2030.

Experts told Just the News that Iran would allocate these funds as it did the first time, using the infusion of cash to increase its military budget and provide a windfall to terrorist groups and its network of proxies.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had no answer for who will pay for Biden’s student loan bailout.

Joe Biden unilaterally announced a massive forgiveness of student loans Wednesday afternoon.

Biden canceled up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.” NBC News reported.

“Couples who earn $250,000 a year or less who file taxes jointly would also qualify for cancelation of up to $10,000 for each partner.” NBC News reported.

Joe Biden claimed ‘canceling’ student loan debt (AKA transferring the debt to the middle class) won’t have any “meaningful effect on inflation.”

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy left Karine Jean-Pierre stuttering when he asked who is paying for the student loan bailout.

“When you forgive debt, you’re not just disappearing debt, who is paying for this?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked KJP.

Karine Jean-Pierre refused to give a straight answer.

Joe Biden is bribing voters for the midterms by transferring student loan debt from millennials and Gen Zers to the middle class.
