‘Crimea is Russian because everyone there speaks Russian,’ Trump reportedly tells G7 leaders
President Donald Trump seems to have demonstrated his trademark nuanced understanding of foreign politics when he reportedly told G7 leaders that “Crimea is Russian because everyone who lives there speaks Russian.”
According to Buzzfeed’s usual anonymous sources, Trump made his remark after wading into a discussion on foreign affairs during a dinner at the G7 summit in Quebec, Canada last Friday.
If true, Trump’s statement will likely have ‘Russiagate’ fans and the #resistance screeching. Russia’s 2014 reunification with Crimea, whose population is almost 60 percent ethnic Russian, is widely viewed in the West as an annexation, despite the fact that Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to join Russia.
During the dinner, Trump reportedly questioned why the other G7 leaders were siding with Ukraine, telling them: “Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.”
The snarky masses in the comments section under Buzzfeed’s article immediately leapt on Trump.
“Trump laying the groundwork to sell the US back to England since so many of us speak English. It's call the Art of the Deal sweetie lewk it up,” read one comment from Jer Bear.
“USA is England, Austria is Germany, it easy. But Canada is England or France? And what about Switzerland??? It is France or Germany?” said a sarcastic Uladzislau Ulasenka.
“Oh we don't really NEED Florida do we? They all speak Spanish anyway, it's better if it’s part of Russia’ - Supreme Leader Trump in 5 years when Putin annexes Florida,” wrote Anthony Perrone, clearly troubled by the Russian president’s intercontinental powers of annexation.

Gowdy: FBI and DOJ Failed to Investigate Clinton Espionage Act Violations
A newly released memorandum from the retiring Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) on today's highly anticipated Inspector General Report from the Office of the Inspector General via Michael Horowitz suggests that both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice dropped the ball in charging Hillary Clinton with violations of the Espionage Act.
Trey Gowdy is also the Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he's already reviewed the Inspector General Report before making the following statements on his website today.
Representative Gowdy on Hillary Clinton:
“I am alarmed, angered, and deeply disappointed by the Inspector General’s finding of numerous failures by DOJ and FBI in investigating potential Espionage Act violations by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Representative Gowdy on the FBI Cover-Up:
“This report confirms investigative decisions made by the FBI during the pendency of this investigation was unprecedented and deviated from traditional investigative procedures in favor of a much more permissive and voluntary approach. This is not the way normal investigations are run.”
Representative Gowdy on FBI Mishandling of the Clinton Investigation:
“The investigation was mishandled. The investigatory conclusions were reached before the end of the witness interviews. The July 5th press conference marked a serious violation of policy and process. And the letters to Congress in the fall of 2016 were both delayed in substance and unnecessary in form.”
“Moreover, the treatment afforded to former Secretary Clinton and other potential subjects and targets was starkly different from the FBI’s investigation into Trump campaign officials. Voluntariness and consent in the former were replaced with search warrants, subpoenas, and other compulsory processes in the latter. Many of the investigators and supervisors were the same in both investigations, but the investigatory tactics were not.”
Representative Gowdy on James Comey:
“Former Director Comey violated Department policy in several significant ways. The FBI’s actions and those of former Director Comey severely damaged the credibility of the investigation, the public’s ability to rely on the results of the investigation, and the very institutions he claims to revere.”

The report also conclusively shows an alarming and destructive level of animus displayed by top officials at the FBI. Peter Strzok’s manifest bias trending toward animus casts a pall on this investigation. Bias is so pernicious and malignant as to both taint the process, the result, and the ability to have confidence in either.”

”The law enforcement community has no greater ally in Congress than me. But continued revelations of questionable decision making by FBI and DOJ leadership destroys confidence in the impartiality of the institutions I have long served, respected, and believed in.”

Simply stating that Hillary Clinton violated` the Espionage Act is brutal enough as is, not to mention that today we saw Peter Strzok emails released proving the witch hunt against the 45th President of the United States of America was indeed premeditated.

Israeli PM Netanyahu offered Iranian people irrigation technology in PR Video
Israeli PM Netanyahu made a bizarre offer to the Iranian people – if it can even be called an offer.
His “offer”, came in the form of a youtube video, which was also re-uploaded with Arabic and Farsi (Persian/Iranian) subtitles. In the video, he says Iran is suffering from major lack of water, and Israel wants to help by providing the Iranian people irrigation technology with seemingly no catch. In the video, he says that “The Iranian regime shouts “death to Israel”. In response, Israel shouts, “Life to the Iranian people”.
The video seems to be a PR scheme, in which he is trying to frame himself as the Savior of the Iranian people, saying that Israel stands with them, and cares about them more than their own government.
f you watch the video, and understand the situation, you realize however that his “offer” is a thinly veiled PR scheme at best.

US Resumes Financial Aid To White Helmets
On June 14, US President Donald Trump authorized the United States Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of State to allocate approximately $6.6 million to fund the Syrian Civil Defense, that is known as the “White Helmets,” and the UN’s Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM)
In an official press release, the U.S. Department of State stressed the US support for the controversial Syrian organization and described its acts as “heroic.”
“The United States Government strongly supports the White Helmets who have saved more than 100,000 lives since the conflict began, including victims of Assad’s chemical weapons attacks. These heroic first responders have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and continue to be deliberately targeted by the Syrian regime and Russian airstrikes,” the U.S. Department of State said in its press release.
The U.S. Department of State suspended its financial support for the White Helmets on May 3. Back then, the US TV channel CBS reported that the Department of State was reviewing its support for the Syrian organization.
The U.S is not the only supporter of the White Helmets, radical groups such as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sahm (HTS), which is labeled by the U.S. as a terrorist organization, also back the organization to facilitate its work. Former leader of HTS Abu Jaber Shaykh and radical Saudi cleric Abdullah al-Muhaysini even stressed their support for the White Helmets in a public video, which was released last year.
The Syrian organization was also accused by Russia and the Damascus government of covering up militants’ crimes and of staging fake chemical attacks to provoke a U.S. military action against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). The most notable case was the alleged chemical attack in the district of Duma earlier this year.
Most of the US funds will likely find its way to the White Helmets centers in areas controlled by the former branch of al-Qaeda in Syria HTS and other al-Qaeda-affiliated groups. This poses a serious threat, especially that the U.S has no real mechanism to track these founds once they are delivered to the organization.

Militants Assassinate Another Member Of Reconciliation Committee In Southern Syria
On June 14, unknown gunmen shot and killed Doctor Musa Qanbas, a member of the reconciliation committee in southern Syria, in front of his clinic in the town of al-Harra in the northwestern Daraa countryside, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the assassination of Doc. Qanbas. However, Syrian pro-government activists believe that the newly formed Ahrar Tell al-Harrah Brigade may have been behind the crime. The group vowed to work against the Syrian Arab Army and Russia when it was first formed on May 4.
This is not the first attack on the members of the reconciliation committee in southern Syria. On June 2, three members of the committee named “Tufiq al-Ghunim”, “Mohamad al-Ghunim” and “Mufaq al-Bargas” were assassinated in the northeastern Daraa countryside.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), at least twelve members of the committee were assassinated by unknown gunmen during the last two months.
These public figures are being targeted for working with the Damascus government to reach a peaceful solution in the southern governorates of Daraa and al-Quneitra. Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad confirmed that such efforts are taking place during an interview on June 13 and said that Israel and the U.S. are working against them.

Obama DOJ Official Tried To Get Son Hired On Clinton Campaign, Tipped Off Podesta In Email Case
A top Barack Obama Department of Justice official integrally involved in the Hillary Clinton email investigation tried to get his son hired on the Hillary Clinton campaign and also tipped off John Podesta with insider details on the case, according to Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report released Thursday.
Assistant attorney general Peter Kadzik should have recused himself from the case due to his duplicity, according to the IG report.
From The Horowitz Report of June 14:
“In Chapter Fourteen, we found that Kadzik demonstrated poor judgment by failing to recuse himself from Clinton-related matters under federal ethics regulations prior to November 2, 2016. Kadzik did not recognize the appearance of a conflict that he created when he initiated an effort to obtain employment for his son with the Clinton campaign while participating in Department discussions and communications about Clinton-related matters.
Kadzik also created an appearance of a conflict when he sent the Chairman of the Clinton Campaign and a longtime friend, John Podesta, the “Heads up” email that included the schedule for the release of former Secretary Clinton’s emails proposed to the court in a FOIA litigation without knowing whether the information had yet been filed and made public. His willingness to do so raised a reasonable question about his ability to act impartially on Clinton-related matters in connection with his official duties.
Additionally, although Department leadership determined that Kadzik should be recused from Clintonrelated matters upon learning of his “Heads up” email to Podesta, we found that Kadzik failed to strictly adhere to this recusal. Lastly, because the government information in the “Heads up” email had in fact been released publically, we did not find that Kadzik released non-public information or misused his official position.”

Plague Strikes Idaho: Officials Confirm First First Human Case Since 1992
A child in Elmore County, Idaho has contracted the plague according to the state health officials. While the plague has been diagnosed in squirrels as recently as 2016, this marks the first human transmission in Idaho in over a quarter-century according to the Central District Health Department.
The child, whose age and sex are unknown, is currently recovering while receiving antibiotic treatment.
Officials are unsure whether the child contracted the plague at home in Idaho or during a recent trip to Oregon - where there have been eight human cases of plague since 1990 vs. two in Idaho.
