God kept warning the OT Israelites not to do it, but they did it anyways. Always adopting the pagan rituals and straying away from God.
Then God would intervene with prophets and set them straight again.
I used to get phone calls asking me to contribute to Veteran causes.
I said to the last caller I got, "I'm a veteran and I've never received any assistance from any of the veteran causes."
They hung up on me.
Never got another "gimmy" call from any so-called vet organization after that.
Guess they took me off of their list.
