NBC News deleted a tweet that compared immigrants to trash in light of the recent movement of several dozen illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard Friday. The outlet shared its article on Twitter about Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis sending 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard as part of a state project relocating migrants to sanctuary cities. The tweet included a quote from a refugee foundation leader which compared the relocation of immigrants to throwing one’s own trash in different areas. “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis transporting illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, shrieked about the notion that these individuals were not told where they were going? Yeah, looks like that particular narrative wasn’t exactly in line with reality. I told you it would be surprising, didn’t I? The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that the illegals who were transported to the white progressive haven at Martha’s Vineyard knew exactly where they were going. In fact, they obtained the documents these individuals were given before making the trek to the island.

Ron DeSantis flew to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, were informed of their destination prior to boarding flights to the island, according to documents exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Yes, they were asked multiple times if they wanted to go,” said a source with close contact to the ground operation that moved the around 50 illegal migrants.
