I had to put my 15 year old cat down last weekend. Lost the use of her back legs out of the blue.
Vets were a joke. Claimed they were too busy and couldn't schedule an appointment for two weeks and told me to take her to ER. $525 later and no firm diag, they were suddenly available to see her.
One look and it was decided best to put her down. For another $450.
I just picked up her ashes yesterday.
A thousand bucks for two visits for a terminal cat.
