Biden Climate Appointee Studied at CCP-Controlled University Linked to Chinese Military

 

President Biden's latest climate appointee studied at a Chinese Communist Party-controlled university that conducts research for the People's Liberation Army.

 

Biden this week tapped Dr. Yue (Nina) Chen to serve as chief climate risk officer for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where she will develop "climate risk management frameworks for the federal banking system." Chen earned her chemical engineering degree from Tsinghua University, which one think tank deems a "very high risk" because of its involvement in a "high level of defense research and alleged involvement in cyberattacks" on behalf of the Chinese military. Tsinghua conducts research on "artificial intelligence, air-to-air missiles, navigation technology, instrument science, and materials science," according to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.

 

Chen, who previously held a climate regulator position at the New York State Department of Financial Services, is a proponent of "environmental, social, and governance" guidelines, a socially progressive approach to investing known as ESG. Under ESG, investment managers and insurance companies gauge companies' risk based on their commitment to progressive goals in the areas of diversity and climate change. Chen spoke at a panel last year on the topic of pressuring industries to "finally leave fossil fuels behind" and redirect their investments "toward solving the climate crisis."

 

Chen is not the first Biden nominee for the bank regulator to have studied at a Communist-run university. Saule Omarova, whom Biden nominated last year to oversee the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, earned a "Lenin scholarship" at Moscow State University in the late 1980s. The White House pulled Omarova's nomination after Democratic senators said they would oppose her confirmation because of her support for ending the country's reliance on fossil fuels. Omarova has said she wants to "starve" companies of money to invest in the fossil fuel industry.

 

Will Hild, the executive director of Consumers' Research, expressed concerns over Chen, citing her education at "CCP training grounds." He said her appointment is part of Biden's effort to establish controversial "environmental, social, and governance" policies at federal agencies.

 

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

Former Georgia Judge, Richard Jordan, Who Attempted to Submit a Complaint in June Election Is Under Investigation for Questioning the Legality of the Use of Dominion Machines in the State

 

Election integrity patriot and former Georgia Judicial Magistrate, Richard Jordan, is facing charges for questioning the June Election and attempting to submit a complaint.

 

Richard Jordan was elected as a Judicial Officer in 1980, as the youngest judge to have ever served the people of the State of Georgia at the age of 25. This came after he supported Ronald Reagan in the 1980 election.

 

Fast forward to 2022 and the former judge is now under investigation that could result in three misdemeanors and a felony, all for questioning Dominion voting machine’s compliance with the laws in Georgia.

 

Jordan wanted to file a complaint during the election because he was unable to read the QR code that showed the results of his votes in that election. He cannot read the QR code but Georgia law states that a ballot must be printable and legible by the elector.

 

When he was filling out his complaint he was confronted by a police officer multiple times. He was later accused of trespassing. How could he trespass while legally voting during an election?

King Charles III Was Circumcised by Jewish Mohel, Cherishes UK Jews

 

When Philip Arthur George, the first child of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten, was born, on November 14, 1948, his mother hired Rabbi Jacob Snowman, a well-known London physician and mohel in December 1948 to circumcise her son. Snowman circumcised other members of the British nobility and Royal Family, and the princess was reportedly highly satisfied with the Rabbi’s work. The royal family tradition of hiring Jewish mohels to circumcise their sons goes back to Queen Victoria. However, it was reported that this fine tradition was interrupted in 1982 after the birth of Prince William, because his mother Diana, the Princess of Wales, did not approve.

 

Rabbi Snowman’s brother, Emanuel Snowman, married into the Wartski family of jewelers and for generations provided the royals with jewelry, including the Welsh gold wedding bands for Charles and the former Camilla Parker-Bowles, and the bands worn by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and the former Kate Middleton.

 

Prince Charles became King Charles III the moment his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on Thursday, September 8. NATO Began ‘Planning’ Expanded Presence Near Russia ‘Years Ago’, Top Commander Admits

 

The North Atlantic Alliance began its decades-long creep toward Russia’s borders in the late 1990s after walking out on commitments made to Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 and 1991 not to expand “one inch” east following German reunification. NATO expansion is one of the central causes of the current Ukrainian security crisis.

NATO began planning to increase its presence along its eastern flank “years” before Russia kicked off its special military operation in Ukraine, NATO Military Committee chairman Rob Bauer has revealed.

“Military leaders have a common frame of reference for both alliance-wide threats and regional threats, and that we enhance the speed and effectiveness of our rapid deployable forces. We’re talking about the biggest overhaul of our military structures since 1949. The planning for that started several years ago, but now we’re implementing it,” Bauer said, speaking to reporters at a press conference at the NATO Military Committee Conference in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday.

NATO defense chiefs discussed the need to “sustain” and “increase” “allied support to Ukraine,” at Saturday’s meeting, Bauer said.

“The ammunition, equipment and training that allies and other nations are delivering are all making a real difference on the battlefield. With its successes on the ground and online, Ukraine has fundamentally changed modern warfare,” the officer said. “NATO will support Ukraine for as long as it takes,” he added.

Speaking alongside Bauer, Estonian Defense Forces chief Martin Herem said that NATO’s collective priority was to “deny Russia the possibility to change today’s rule-based international order,” including by stationing more troops along its border.

“Forward defense is not only about the number of allied boots on the eastern border. The entire chain must be in place. It means having the appropriate mix of national and allied in place forces, known reinforcements, advanced plans linked to assigned forces and assigned C2 [command and control],” Herem said.

Echoing Bauer’s comments on the need to “support” Kiev, Herem stressed that “it is critical to ensure cohesion and unity of allies. The winter will be difficult but [we] must stick together and stay committed” in the coming months.

 

Defense chiefs from Finland and Sweden joined Saturday’s discussions, and Bauer called their expected entry into the alliance at some point in the future “good news” for the bloc.

“We get extra territory to defend as an alliance, and we get a long border with Russia. But we get also Finland and Sweden’s armed forces, which are very capable, to help us defend that extra territory and to defend that longer border. Russia will have a longer border with NATO without getting extra troops. So I think the accession of Finland and Sweden is beneficial for the alliance and is creating more of a problem for Russia,” Bauer said.

US Customs can search, save the data from your phone without a warrant

Anyone who has traveled outside the country may already know that U.S. Customs and Border Protection has the right to search the phones and other electronic devices of anyone entering the country – including U.S. citizens – without a warrant.

 

On Thursday, U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, exposed the existence of a database used by the federal government to keep that personal data on file.

 

The database has existed since 2007 without outside oversight.

 

Mobile phones often contain private, personal information, including photos, videos, text messages, and financial records. All of that data is captured in a database that 3,000 CBP officers can access without a warrant.

Customs agents can decide someone is a person of interest for any reason. They can randomly select someone for an interview. Then, they can ask to unlock the person’s phone for a manual search.

 

If authorities believe the phone contains evidence of a crime, digital contraband or poses some security concern, they can then copy the data without a warrant and send it to the database.

 

CBP officers don’t have to document their reason. The agency is also required to provide a two-page form to anyone who has their phone or device searched, but they are not required to tell the person their data has been uploaded.

 

The agency also isn’t saying how many people’s data is seized and uploaded every year.

 

Wyden’s letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Chris Magnus called on the agency to update its rules to focus on criminals and threats, not random people.

“The Supreme Court requires other law enforcement agencies to demonstrate probable cause to a neutral judge prior to obtaining a search warrant for Americans’ phones,” Wyden wrote. “In contrast, CBP exploits the so called ‘border search’ exception to the Fourth Amendment and allows its officers to conduct ‘basic search’ of any international traveler’s phone or laptop, without suspicion that the traveler has committed a crime.”

 

Wyden wrote about two “egregious violations of Americans’ rights” in his letter.

 

Pressuring travelers to unlock their electronic devices without adequately informing them of their rights.

 

Downloading the contents of Americans’ phones into a central database, where the data is saved and searchable for 15 years.

 

CBP spokesperson Robert Brisley declined an interview request from WRAL News. In a statement, he said CBP performs these searches on a small number of devices compared to the number of travelers.

 

“CBP border searches of electronic devices have resulted in evidence helpful in combating terrorist activity, child pornography, violations of export controls, intellectual property rights violations and visa fraud,” Brisley wrote in an email to WRAL News.

 

In the current fiscal year, CBP data shows 38,567 international travelers had their electronic device searched.

 

In the previous fiscal year, CBP data shows 37,450 international travelers had a device searched. Brisley said CBP processed more than 179 million travelers at U.S. ports of entry, meaning about 0.02% of international travelers have their devices searched. Brisley said very few of the devices have their data collected.

I've been on cat death watch for over 24 hours. I managed to get a few hours of sleep and now I'm running on fumes. In that time, she has deteriorated from being able to climb stairs to barely being able to move her limbs. This cat never learned how to meow (she squeaks) but she sure can get my attention when she needs help turning over on the cat bed.

 

Veterinary services are pretty much non-existent here on a Saturday. I'm in a major city (Ottawa, Canada) and vets have been hard to find since the covid bullshit. I have no choice but to wait till she passes away quietly.

“[The development project] didn’t seem to make sense to me,” Mr. Nixon told the Gazette Thursday. “The Home Port was such a big part of Menemsha, a gathering place really for the whole Island.”

 

The Nixons paid $2.3 million for the property, and ran it as a full-service and takeout restaurant for the following decade. In recent years, however, the restaurant had failed to open, with owners citing staffing difficulties and the pressures of the pandemic.

 

The restaurant’s continued closure inspired Mr. Woods, owner of Boston’s Aquitaine Restaurant Group and a long time Home Port patron, to inquire after the business.

 

“Menemsha was just looking like a little sad, you know?” Mr. Woods told the Gazette by phone Thursday. After scaling down his Boston enterprise, Mr. Woods was on the lookout for something more creative — “a passion project,” he said. Something close to home.

 

“It had to be local and it had to be something that mattered to me. I couldn’t figure out what that was. And when Eric mentioned [Home Port], it was just sort of like a light went off,” Mr. Woods said. Neither he nor Mr. Berke, they soon realized, could stand to see a local institution like the Home Port fade away.

 

“[Eric Berke] was coming here when he was four years old. My kids had their first oyster here when they were five years old,” Mr. Woods said. “The town needs it. It needs to be restored.”

 

After making an offer last summer, Mr. Berke, Mr. Woods, and the Nixon family spent the off-season negotiating a sale. The two parties signed a purchase and sale agreement in April, allowing renovations to move ahead in advance of the summer season. The sale was finalized Thursday. Mr. Nixon said in addition to the real estate, the new owners also paid $500,000 for the business, bringing the total sale price to nearly $3.1 million.

 

“It just seemed to make really good sense for us to hand it off to them,” Mr. Nixon said. “We just had a real meeting of the minds with them. They love Menemsha and share the values of why [the Home Port]’s important to the town.”

 

The new owners have big dreams for the Home Port, including live music, breakfast service and off-season service, although Mr. Woods admitted that these prospects all lie in the future.

 

“We’re looking to be a tourist destination secondarily,” he said. What he really wants, he said, is “to be a local restaurant that’s firmly established in the community.”

I had to put my 15 year old cat down last weekend. Lost the use of her back legs out of the blue.

Vets were a joke. Claimed they were too busy and couldn't schedule an appointment for two weeks and told me to take her to ER. $525 later and no firm diag, they were suddenly available to see her.

One look and it was decided best to put her down. For another $450.

I just picked up her ashes yesterday.

A thousand bucks for two visits for a terminal cat.

  1. Head them off at the second branch. Usually, these untrained liars have only come up with the first part of a lie and haven't thought about what would come next. An astute anon will hear the lie, nod his head, and extrapolate the web to the second branch, mentioning something about that before they get to it. By the time they get to it, they have usually forgotten what anon said, until it slaps them right in the face.

So much wrong with this meme, but I will start with this major detail, which I preface by saying this concept wasn't taught to me. These are my own thoughts:

 

The original sin, which is symbolized by Eve eating an apple, is two fold.

 

1) Adam and Eve did exactly what God had commanded they should not do.

(This is obviously what everyone commonly thinks about when considering what the original sin was.)

 

2) The motivation for doing the only thing they were commanded not to do, eat the fruit in the middle of the garden, was to be Gods themselves. That's my take on Genesis 3:5

 

IMO, this motivation to be God is the worst part of the original sin. To attempt to be God is arguably the worst sin of all.

 

BTW, no mention of apple in Genesis at all.
