Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, Dune and Firefly all in one incredible meme.
Did I miss anything?
Oops, missed Doctor Who.
I've been on cat death watch for over 24 hours. I managed to get a few hours of sleep and now I'm running on fumes. In that time, she has deteriorated from being able to climb stairs to barely being able to move her limbs. This cat never learned how to meow (she squeaks) but she sure can get my attention when she needs help turning over on the cat bed.
Veterinary services are pretty much non-existent here on a Saturday. I'm in a major city (Ottawa, Canada) and vets have been hard to find since the covid bullshit. I have no choice but to wait till she passes away quietly.
She's still aware of me enough to purr when I pet her. I hope her time comes soon.
>unless she has severe respiratory distress (obvious gurgling fluid filled lungs) she has got this.
>we have only had to put down one who had fluid in her lungs. The others have all gone gracefully in their quiet way.
Thank you. That is encouraging. Trying to get hold of an emergency vet. The first one I called is overloaded. Sigh. Trying two more.
Just called a place advertising emergency services. Overloaded. Will keep trying.
>A thousand bucks for two visits for a terminal cat.
That's criminal. Should only be $200-300 for a euthanasia.
>Cremation was extra
Extra if you want the ashes back. The $200-300 should cover communal cremation.
