Afederal appeals court on Friday evening upheld Texas’ social media law, ruling that residents can sue big tech companies for censoring political viewpoints.

 

The 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court ruling that had blocked the law from taking effect.

 

“Today we reject the idea that corporations have a freewheeling First Amendment right to censor what people say,” Judge Andrew S. Oldham wrote in the majority opinion.

 

The ruling clears the way for Texans and the Texas Attorney General's office to file lawsuits against Big Tech giants like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook if they take down or censor certain political viewpoints.

 

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton tweeted out after the victory: “I just secured a MASSIVE VICTORY for the Constitution & Free Speech in fed court: #BigTech CANNOT censor the political voices of ANY Texan!”

 

Two tech companies called NetChoice and the Computer & Communications Industry Association sued in attempt to block the law last year, citing that the ruling violated the social media companies' First Amendment rights.

 

The president of Computer & Communications Industry Association Matt Schruers predicted yer case could go all the way to the Supreme Court.

 

According to the New York Times, Schruers is “convinced that when the U.S. Supreme Court hears one of our cases, it will uphold the First Amendment rights of websites, platforms and apps.”

The hand-written sign in the entrance of a cosmetics shop in Japan might have been shocking to many Chinese, but to some observers its message was all too familiar.

 

The sign, which said Chinese people were not allowed to enter, caused outrage when images of it were posted on Chinese websites last month.

 

Within 24 hours, the store’s owner Pola Inc ordered the sign to be removed and vowed to suspend operations at the outlet. Pola acknowledged the notice had caused “unpleasant feelings and inconvenience to many people” and said it would deal with the situation “gravely”.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has requested the classified documents found in the Mar-A-Lago raid be withheld from the special master's review ahead of the preliminary meeting.

The DOJ requested the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals to allow its own criminal investigators to review the classified information and to exclude it from Special Master Judge Raymond Dearie's review.

The Department sought the intervention after US District Judge Aileen Cannon - a Trump appointee - declined the DOJ's request to lift the temporary prohibition of the usage of the 100 classified documents found in the raid. The DOJ's investigation is being stalled due to the special master's review.

The department told the 11th Circuit in Atlanta that the judge's hold was impeding the 'government's efforts to protect the nation's security' and interfering with its investigation into the presence of top-secret information at Mar-a-Lago. It said the hold needed to be lifted immediately so work could resume.

'The government and the public would suffer irreparable harm absent a stay,' Department lawyers wrote in their brief to the appeals court.

Earlier this month, Cannon directed the Department to halt its use of the records until further court order, or until the completion of a Dearie's report, whose job is to inspect the documents and weed out any covered by claims of legal privilege.

Cannon also cast doubt on the top secret documents in Thursday's order, questioning whether or not items were actually classified. She also said she wasn't putting the nation at risk by stalling the DOJ's investigation, according to CNN.

The Justice Department argues that the documents could, in no way, be Trump's personal property, as the former president is trying to claim.

'None of those rationales applies to the records bearing classification markings: The markings establish on the face of the documents that they are not [Trump]'s personal property,' the DOJ said.

The DOJ is investigating three potential crimes, including violations of the Espionage Act, illegal handling of government records and obstruction of justice.

The request also comes as the Department of Justice and Trump's lawyers have been called to a New York City court for a 'preliminary conference' by the special master who will review the 11,000 documents taken from the Mar-A-Lago raid.

Dearie has asked the two parties to attend the conference on September 20 at the Brooklyn Federal Courthouse.

Both parties have until September 19 to submit 'proposed agenda items' for discussion at the meeting, according to Fox News.

Dearie was appointed by Cannon to review all the documents taken from the Florida estate on August 8. He is also tasked with identifying any personal materials of Trump's that should possibly be returned to him.

 

The FBI says it took about 11,000 documents, including roughly 100 with classification markings found in a storage room and an office, while serving a court-authorized search warrant at the home.

 

In appointing Dearie on Thursday, she granted him access to the entire tranche of documents, including classified records. She directed him to complete his review by November 30 and to prioritize the review of classified documents, and directed the Justice Department to permit the Trump legal team to inspect classified records with 'controlled access conditions.'

Former Trump White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders revealed Friday that she had undergone surgery in Arkansas to treatthyroid cancer.

“During a check-up earlier this month, my doctor ordered a biopsy on an area of concern in my neck and the test revealed that I had thyroid cancer,” the 40-year-old Sanders, the Republican candidate for governor of the state, said in a statement.

“Today, I underwent a successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and by the grace of God I am now cancer-free,” she added.

Dr. John Sims, a surgeon at CARTI Cancer Center in Little Rock, said Sanders was treated for Stage I papillary thyroid carcinoma.

“Sarah is currently recovering from surgery in which we removed her thyroid gland and some of the surrounding lymph nodes in her neck,” he said in a statement.

“The surgery went extremely well, and I expect her to be back on her feet even within the next 24 hours.”

He added that her diagnosis is “the most common type of thyroid cancer and has an excellent prognosis.”

“While she will need adjuvant treatment with radioactive iodine, as well as continued long-term follow-up, I think it’s fair to say she’s now cancer free, and I don’t anticipate any of this slowing her down,” Dr. Sims said.

Meanwhile, the mother of three vowed to get back on the campaign trail “soon.”

“I want to thank the Arkansas doctors and nurses for their world-class care, as well as my family and friends for their love, prayers, and support,” she said in her statement.

“I look forward to returning to the campaign trail soon. This experience has been a reminder that whatever battle you may be facing, don’t lose heart. As governor, I will never quit fighting for the people of our great state.”

Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, is favored to defeat Democrat Chris Jones in the Nov. 8 election. Arkansas has not elected a Democratic governor since 2010.

Sanders joined the Trump White House in 2017 after working as a senior adviser to the Republican’s successful 2016 presidential campaign. She initially served as deputy press secretary under Sean Spicer and took over as press secretary in July 2017. She stayed in the role for two years before stepping down in July 2019 and later went to work for Fox News as a contributor.

The Jan. 6 criminal investigations got a hell of a lot more real this week.

 

Suddenly it seems like the feds are everywhere. Some 40 subpoenas were blasted out at top MAGA-world figures by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., which is reportedly seeking answers on practically every aspect of the insurrection.

 

The feds want to know about the so-called fake electors scheme, sure. But they’re also poking around to learn more about the planning of former President Donald Trump’s rally on the Ellipse, and even fundraising for Trump’s Save America political action committee.

 

In other words, the first whiff of autumn is in the air—and so is that faint, burnt-leaf smell of accountability.

 

The Department of Justice’s upshift into a higher gear comes after critics spent months lambasting Attorney General Merrick Garland for moving too slowly. That chatter now seems likely to subside.

Federal agents seized the cellphones of top Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn and campaign strategist Mike Roman. Subpoenas were served on former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik and Trump’s former social media director Dan Scavino.

Mike Lindell, aka “the pillow guy,” did not escape the dragnet.

FBI agents pounced on the MyPillow CEO and prominent election conspiracy theorist in the drive-thru lane of a Minnesota Hardee’s and ordered him to turn over his phone. (Imagine, for a moment, that a genie let you travel back in time to warn your past self about our discordant future—but you could only transmit that one, bizarre sentence.)

Hardee’s capitalized on its trending moment with a pillow pun on Twitter: “Now that you know we exist… you should really try our pillowy biscuits.”

Lindell—never one to sit quietly, even under legal scrutiny—also made much of the incident, discussing every detail in frenetic media appearances and even posting his warrant on social media.

Judging from the document, Lindell’s run-in with the feds appears linked to an investigation that’s formally separate from the big Jan. 6 subpoena blast. Instead, it’s tied to the widening investigation of a breach of election voting systems in Colorado and the prosecution of former Colorado election official and regular BtV cast member Tina Peters.

Peters, you might recall, has been charged with state-level crimes and pleaded not guilty. She is specifically named in the seizure warrant for Lindell’s phone, which was approved by a federal grand jury in Colorado and posted online by Lindell.

What happens next, after all this frothy action? Some lawyers and former prosecutors say they expect the DOJ may tamp down overt investigative or prosecutorial activity during the run-up to November’s midterm elections. The recent spurt might have been an attempt to make headway before the DOJ’s so-called “60-day rule” sets in. Ditto, perhaps, for the FBI search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club for sensitive secret government documents in August. After all, nothing focuses the mind like a deadline.

That reasoning also suggests that officials will be unlikely to announce criminal charges against Trump himself before the Nov. 8 elections.

By the same token, prosecutors won’t want to make big moves right before the next round of presidential campaign primaries officially begin, likely in very early 2024, either.

In other words, it’s plausible the next two months will be relatively quiet, from a strictly prosecutorial point of view. After that, if officials feel indictments are warranted, they’ll have an incentive not to sit on their hands too long.

Trump, for his part, was asked by radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday whether picking up a criminal charge would stop him from running for president. Trump replied with his usual reserve: “It would not.”

I don't think for a minute that Tucker's monologues, or any aspect of his evening television show, are aimed at anyone who comes in here to do research, read, and learn.

 

Tucker is watched by many people who are still sleeping or who may just be starting to realize that they hate paying four to five times as much for things like gasoline than they did under President Trump. That goes for everyone on television, in my once-asleep opinion.

 

I woke up rather slowly. I just thank God I was wide awake and researching on my own when the drops began on October 28, 2017.

 

But if not for the likes of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Alex Jones (yes, I listened to him in 2014 and 2015), and others then my mind would not have been primed for being open minded about other things that I have learned since those early days.

Facebook Was Spying on Personal Messages of Americans Who Questioned the 2020 Election – Turned Them Over to the FBI

Facebook joined with Democrats to swing the 2020 election away from President Donald Trump.

 

Mark Zuckerberg donate nearly half a billion dollars to help Democrats in battleground states and their braindead candidate Joe Biden.

 

The radical Democrats had become concerned with so-called “violent rhetoric” and “misinformation” coming from the Trump campaign’s Facebook accounts. This resulted in a years-long barrage of complaints from the party in an attempt to exert political influence over the world’s largest social media giant.

 

Democrat-hack operative Timothy Durigan, a Biden bootlicker tasked with flagging conservatives on Facebook had this to say:

 

Facebook is ground zero for the Big Lie and the Capitol insurrection. Facebook chose to put election misinformation in front of millions of Americans, systematically relaxed its rules for the insurrection’s leader, Donald Trump, and provided an organizing platform for insurrectionists.

 

The fact that this video is still on your platform — and is being used to recruit some sort of, and I quote, ‘army for Trump’s election security effort’ — is astounding. It is impossible to reconcile this with any of the policies regarding voting and voter suppression that Facebook has released over the past 3 years and emphasized to us privately in several dozen conversations.

 

A Facebook official responded and said the video would be allowed to stay up, but after the complaint, Facebook added a bogus ‘fact check.’

 

This was apparently an unsatisfactory solution for the Biden team. They scolded the social media platform again for the “mental gymnastics” they had to go through to keep the video on their platform. Nothing but a total ban of Trump, which they eventually got, would’ve been enough.

 

The Biden official wrote:

 

“The Trump Campaign has received the message that they may put videos on your platform saying that millions of fraudulent votes will be used to steal the election. And the solution to that is for ‘able-bodied people’ to enlist in an ‘army.’ So, their shrieks of fraud compound and their calls to ‘enlist’ multiply. Good gracious, I struggle to believe that is the precedent you are intending to set.”

 

He concluded:

 

“We implore you to approach this problem with seriousness and a sense of mission. We have found that to be lacking thus far. If the effort and mental gymnastics undertaken to allow this post to remain on your platform were instead devoted to carrying out your acknowledged responsibility to democracy, we might see some progress.”

 

This is just another example of the deep state colluding with big tech to push a particular political ideology while punishing dissent. Reports show that the repeated pressure put on by democrats and the Biden campaign resulted in wide-scale suppression of conservatives and infringement of their right to engage in public discussion.

Facebook has been spying on the private messages and data of American users and reporting them to the FBI if they express anti-government or anti-authority sentiments — or question the 2020 election — according to sources within the Department of Justice.

 

Under the FBI collaboration operation, somebody at Facebook red-flagged these supposedly subversive private messages over the past 19 months and transmitted them in redacted form to the domestic terrorism operational unit at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, without a subpoena.

 

“It was done outside the legal process and without probable cause,” alleged one of the sources, who spoke on condition of ­anonymity.

 

“Facebook provides the FBI with private conversations which are protected by the First Amendment without any subpoena.”

 

These private messages then have been farmed out as “leads” to FBI field offices around the country, which subsequently requested subpoenas from the partner US Attorney’s Office in their district to officially obtain the private conversations that Facebook already had shown them.

Ivana Stradner opened her iPhone and typed a simple call-to-arms: Unleash the hounds.

 

A Washington think-tanker and an expert in Russian propaganda, Stradner is also a member of NAFO — or the North Atlantic Fellas Organization — an informal alliance of internet culture warriors, national security experts and ordinary Twitter users weaponizing memes, viral videos and, yes, dog photos to push back against Russian online disinformation.

 

“I see myself as a NAFO civilian propagandist,” said Stradner, an adviser to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a conservative think tank. “Until now, Russia has been the only ones willing to play a dirty game.”

NAFO “fellas,” as they prefer to be called, emblazon their Twitter accounts with the Shiba Inu avatar. They overlay the image on TikTok-style videos of Ukrainian troops set to dance music soundtracks. They pile onto Russian propaganda via coordinated social media attacks that rely on humor — it’s hard to take a badly-drawn dog meme seriously — to poke fun at the Kremlin and undermine its online messaging.

 

Whenever a NAFO fellas spots a Russian official or sympathizer posting a pro-Kremlin take on Twitter, for instance, they can use the hashtag #Article5 — a nod to the part of the NATO treaty that calls for collective defense — to bombard these accounts with support for Ukraine. They’ve also flooded Twitter with viral memes attacking Russian President Vladimir Putin and videos mocking the Kremlin’s war effort. On an average day, there are now more than 5,000 Twitter posts linked to NAFO versus a mere handful in May, according to an analysis shared with POLITICO by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a think tank that tracks online activity.

 

The coordinated shit-posting is ultimately deployed in the service of Kyiv’s war effort. NAFO started in late May as an online fundraising tool for Ukrainian troops. Anyone who donates money via PayPal (NAFO never touches the actual cash) to groups like the Georgian Legion, a military unit created soon after Russia invaded Crimea in 2014, can ask the group for their own doge avatar.

 

“This is something we’ve just never ever seen before,” said Emma Salisbury, a doctoral candidate at Birkbeck, University of London, who studies Western military tactics. “This organization just emerged from what has been a very in-depth, but very niche, part of the internet.”

With the rise rise of social media, would-be political groups have sought to harness cultural iconography once reserved for internet chatrooms in pursuit of recruits, attention and impact. Jihadists produce slick YouTube clips depicting fighting in the Middle East. Western extremists use the “Pepe the Frog” meme to punctuate their online messaging.

 

For NAFO, it’s the humble Shiba Inu avatar — a goofy-looking dog breed popularized by Tesla’s chief executive and would-be online troll Elon Musk and his support of Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency.

 

As the community has grown, its members started to copy online tactics straight out of the Kremlin’s disinformation playbook, sprinkling in a heavy dose of internet culture and humor to undermine Russian propaganda.

 

The work is obviously appreciated. On Tuesday, Ukraine’s defense minister Reznikov tweeted a “personal salute to #NAFOfellas” and changed his profile pic to a bespoke doge avatar dressed in a suit, carrying a Ukrainian shield and standing in front of a bombed-out bridge.

 

“I’d like to thank each person behind Shiba Inu cartoon. Your donations to support our defenders, your fight VS misinformation is valuable,” Reznikov wrote. “NAFO expansion is non-negotiatiable!”

Trump urges Ohio voters to support election integrity amendments

 

President Donald Trump urged Ohio voters Thursday to support two state amendments that would significantly increase election integrity and public safety if adopted in the midterm election.

 

The 45th president said, “The Radical Left desperately needs non-Citizens to vote, because they can’t win on the issues with the American people.”

 

For years, Trump has pushed for states to address the issue of noncitizens voting in American elections. While the Democrat Party has tried to portray election integrity as “racist” and a form of “voter suppression,” Republicans have supported measures to secure elections in various states.

 

“This November, the Great State of Ohio has the unique opportunity to stop this destructive campaign,” Trump said. He explained that Issue 2, the Citizenship Voting Requirement Amendment, will secure state elections by ensuring that only U.S. citizens can legally vote in any elections.

If Issue 1 is passed, it would require Ohio courts to, “Consider public safety, including the seriousness of the offense, as well as a person’s criminal record, the likelihood a person will return to court, and any other factor the Ohio General Assembly may prescribe,” when determining the amount of bail for a criminal offender.

 

Trump emphasized, “Protecting our Citizens and Communities, not Aiding and Abetting Criminals, should be our highest priority.” He added, “Don’t let lawlessness win in Ohio this November. Vote YES on Issue 1.”

 

If a majority of Ohio voters support the amendments and vote “yes” in November, the measures will take effect immediately.

America First Legal sues another Pennsylvania county over ‘illegal drop box scheme’

 

America First Legal (AFL) is bringing a second lawsuit against the Board of Elections in Chester County, Pennsylvania, citing serious complaints about ballot drop boxes that have been approved for use in elections.

 

According to a press release from AFL, the lawsuit seeks to “compel their immediate compliance with Pennsylvania’s election laws in connection with ballot drop boxes in Chester County.”

 

Per AFL, the Pennsylvania Election Code requires both mailed or absentee ballots to be returned via mail or in-person by the voter whose name is on the ballot itself. “In other words, one person can only drop off one ballot in a drop box, and multiple ballots deposited into the drop box render them invalid,” AFL said in their statement.

 

The AFL’s official complaint included an example of the Board of Elections’ inclusion of specific rules attached to returning ballots.

“You must return your own ballot,

You are prohibited from delivering or returning anyone else’s ballot, even if that person is your spouse, parent, child, grandparent, other relative, neighbor or friend,

If a voter has a disability or is voting by emergency absentee ballot, the voter may have someone deliver their ballot, only if both parties have signed an official written authorization.”

 

The AFL’s complaint stated that during the 2022 primary election in May, the Board of Elections in Chester County authorized 13 drop boxes. However, AFL alleged that two of the 13 boxes were not properly staffed and therefore were out of compliance.

“Those boxes were monitored with security cameras,” their statement revealed, “and the footage captured revealed a shocking and brazen breach of the Election Code: over 330 individuals depositing void, invalid, or multiple ballots all at once.”

 

13 drop boxes have also been approved for use in the upcoming November midterms. They further disclosed that the AFL’s complaint seeks to stop the Election Board from “accepting, counting, or canvassing any ballots that contravene the lawful use of drop boxes…”

 

The president of America First Legal, Stephen Miller, commented on the lawsuit in an official statement:

 

“This is our second lawsuit in 15 days in Pennsylvania, suing election officials for their lawless conduct and egregious violation of Americans’ sacred right to ensure their vote is not canceled out by fraud and criminal activity.”

The role that the FBI played in the drama of now-debunked cries of collusion between President Donald Trump and Russian assets has come under renewed scrutiny in the last week, thanks to a new bombshell revelation from Special Counsel John Durham.

Fox correspondent David Spunt referred to Danchenko as a “Russian national” who provided critical information for the Steele dossier, which turned out to be “totally bogus.”

Resident Biden on Friday came clean during a visit to the White House by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa — admitting, “I wasn’t arrested” trying to visit Nelson Mandela, despite saying so at least three times in 2020.

But Biden proceeded to tell Ramaphosa that he was “stopped” trying to visit Mandela — a claim that also has faced withering fact-checks and contradiction even from Biden supporters.

Biden admitted that his past remarks were untrue while welcoming Ramaphosa to the Oval Office.

“One of the great moments of my career was when — the first time Nelson Mandela came to the United States [in 1990]. And we were in — I was a senator at the time, and we met in the Senate Foreign Relations executive committee room,” Biden told Ramaphosa.

“We all stood there and said hello to him and the like and afterwards, he asked if he could come by my office and he came by to say thank you because he heard I had been stopped trying to get to visit him, to see him in prison.”

Biden then fessed up, “And I said once — I said I got arrested. I wasn’t arrested, I got stopped, prevented from moving. But he was extremely gracious.”

Biden said at least three times that he was arrested attempting to visit Mandela on his prison island near Cape Town. The story attracted scrutiny because of glaring geographical issues — including the fact that he claimed to be arrested in Johannesburg, more than 760 miles from Robben Island.

Biden’s team later admitted it was untrue and that he was simply “separated” from other congressmen at an airport during a 1976 visit to Lesotho, a country that borders South Africa. But even that revision was contradicted by another congressman on the trip.

The Washington Post’s fact check column called Biden’s claim that he was arrested in South Africa “ridiculous.”

On one occasion in February 2021, Biden told a South Carolina audience that “I had the great honor of being arrested with our U.N. ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see [Mandela] on Robbens [sic] Island.”

In separate remarks the same month in Nevada, Biden said that in 1977 he “came back from South Africa, trying to see Nelson Mandela and getting arrested for trying to see him on Robbens [sic] Island.”

This is a choice many are not willing to make because you choose fear and conformity rather than truth and awakening.

 

Many of you are questioning what religions built in my name have taught you. Do not doubt yourselves, because it is that the awareness on your planet is rising and the veils of ignorance and illusion are being lifted layer by layer. This is your own true nature waking you up from lifetimes of deep slumber to the truth of love. These old paradigms will no longer work because their very foundations which are based on illusion and fear and worship of man-made teachings are being shaken.

 

Those that desire the truth about my life and teachings will hear it in the depth of their being. I am not your messiah and I am not the only son of God. I was not sent to die for the sins of the world. You must leave behind these old fear-based illusions of sacrificial lambs which keep you stuck in deep patterns of fear and bondage. I am just like you, one who walked the same paths as you in many lifetimes and out of my own seeking and questioning pierced the veils of ignorance for myself and woke up to the truth of my divine nature just like many did before me and continue to do to this day.

 

I did not come to be worshipped and you must stop this if you are to awaken to your own true nature. I am not a partaker of your false teachings of worshipping me as special and apart from you. I taught my disciples these very things when they tried to worship me or believe me a king of Israel. I taught them that I was a servant, a teacher of truth and that they were just like me and could know what I had come to know by following the teachings I gave them. I tell you the same things. I cannot “save” you from your error (sins); you must walk your path and master your own self and no one can do it for you.

 

I only taught the truth and radiated my energy to those I encountered to help them understand but the times were dark and most could not comprehend my teachings and instead used them to form religions to elevate their own authority.

 

I am available to offer help to any who asks just like all awakened ones are, but you must walk your path and reach your own awakening. Beloved ones I love you and it is time to leave the old behind and mature into who you really are. It is a choice that no one can make for you, for your free will is sacred.
