Neither have any inherent value.

Both are only valuable because people agree they're valuable, and to the extent people agree they're valuable.

A man dying of thirst in the desert will pay anything for a glass of water.

Invest in things eternal. Things that last forever.

Only God is good. What you think of as "good" is to evil as black is to slightly darker black.

Your conclusions are correct.

Sounds like it's time to start talking to God about being cleansed in the blood of the Lamb, Christ Jesus, and washed white as snow.

Not really. Remember the Dutch tulip bulb craze, when the bulbs reached an insanely high price in the market, but their inherent value was still limited to [potentially] producing pretty tulips?

They still produced their inherent value; they (probably) flowered into tulips when planted.

But their market value, their extrinsic value, was insane. Off the top of my head, let's go with $1,000,000 per bulb insane, in terms of modern money.
