Interesting, when I first looked into maglevs decades ago, I envisioned a transatlantic conduit in which, for the most part, the train operated within a vacuum, thus reducing drag and giving almost unthinkable velocity. Anon must confess that it never occurred to anon that a scaled down version not operating within a vacuum would ever be used for personal transport. I guess anon only considered the macro level.
