George Soros-Backed Candidate for Maricopa County District Attorney Has Ties to Pro-Open Borders Groups

Soros-backed candidate for Arizona’s Maricopa County District Attorney has ties to and is endorsed by multiple Soros-backed organizations that seek to abolish Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and open our border.

Julie Gunnigle, the Soros-backed candidate for district attorney in Arizona’s Maricopa County, has connections to several organizations that want to abolish ICE and open our southern border.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is the third largest prosecutorial agency in the United States, heightening the stakes of this election.

Gunnigle boasted that she has “built relationships with” and is “in conversation with folks like… LUCHA,” referring to a Soros-backed organization that seeks to abolish ICE. LUCHA, which stands for Living United for Change in Arizona, has received a whopping $1.75 million from Soros’s Open Society Foundations since 2017. The leftist organization has advocated for the abolition of ICE, which is tasked with securing our border.

LUCHA has endorsed Gunnigle in her attempt to become Maricopa County’s next district attorney.

LUCHA is far from the only Soros-backed, pro-open borders organization that Gunnigle has connections to, however. The Democratic candidate has praised an organization called Mass Liberation, which has also advocated for abolishing both ICE and the police.

Gunnigle said in an interview “I … can’t say enough good things about Mass Liberation Arizona.” Mass Liberation Arizona is also an extreme leftist organization, and has said, “We must #AbolishPolice and #AbolishICE.”

Gunnigle also celebrated an endorsementfrom extreme open border organization Mijente, saying, “I am grateful that the campaign is getting so much attention from great groups like Emily’s List and Mijente.”

Mijente, which has received over a million dollars from Soros’s Open Society Foundation, has also campaigned to abolish ICE. Mijente launched a campaign called “Fuck Border Patrol,” to advocate against deportation of illegal aliens and for the abolition of ICE.

In addition, Soros-backed candidate Julie Gunnigle has stated “I Will Continue To Stand With The Experts And The American Friends Service Committee In Particular,” voicing support for yet another far-left group. The American Friends Service Committee has called to abolish ICE.

Gunnigle is running against Rachel Mitchell, the Republican candidate for the position of Maricopa County District Attorney. Mitchell is currently the interim district attorney. In a debate between the two, Mitchell called out Gunnigle for calling to remove $25 million from the Phoenix Police.

The revelations about Gunnigle’s connections to extreme open borders groups funded by globalist billionaire George Soros come as America faces an unprecedented crisis on our Southern border and throughout our country. Even Portland, Maine, in one of the Northern-most regions of our country, faces a migrant crisis.

Roughly 3 million economic migrants have been allowed across the southern border into the U.S. economy since Biden’s inauguration. Roughly 2 million additional legal migrants, temporary workers, and white-collar illegals have been allowed in via the U.S. airports. The combined inflow is huge — roughly 4 million young Americans join the labor force each year.

A recent poll from Gallup found that a plurality of Americans would like to see immigration decreased.

A different poll found that a majority of Americans believe that Biden’s border crisis is an invasion. Even 40 percent of Democrats believe that the crisis is an invasion, while 76 percent of Republicans and 46 percent of independents also said that America faces an invasion on its Southern border.

Mitch McConnell Says Inflation Is Top Midterm Issue After Helping Joe Biden Fuel It

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday said inflation is one of the top three greatest midterm issues — after he and the Washington, DC, establishment enabled the passage of several massive spending bills that fueled soaring costs.

Over the past two years, McConnell voted for the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending, $1.9 trillion for COVID-19 corporate bailout, and $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bills – all items of legislation that have fueled inflation, according to experts.

When reporters asked McConnell about the greatest midterm issues facing Americans, he identified inflation as one of the top three. “The three big national issues that we’re going to be addressing here that people are most concerned about nationally are the ones that I mentioned: inflation, crime and open borders,” he said.

McConnell also noted inflation is an important issue Senate Republican candidates will highlight in their statewide campaigns. “That’s clearly what we’re going to be putting the focus on,” he added.

Polling consistently shows that inflation is the number one issue for midterm voters. McConnell’s political calculation of addressing inflation seems to be the right strategy to reclaim the Senate. But questions arise as to why McConnell and establishment Republicans did not block Biden from signing the massive spending packages.

August’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) revealed the price of food at home jumped 0.7 percent compared with the previous month. Over the past 12 months, grocery prices have gone up 13.5 percent. In total, inflation is projected to cost American families $5,520 this year.

Recent polls reveal the GOP could retake the Senate despite soaring inflation. McConnell has even become more optimistic, giving Republicans a “50-50 shot” in November.

Senate races in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nevada have narrowed within the margin of error. In Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida, Republican candidates still hold leads. Arizona and New Hampshire appear to be the only swing states where Democrats have a larger advantage over Republicans.

Sen. Ron Johnson Increases Lead over ‘Defund Police’ Democrat Mandela Barnes

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) has increased his lead over “defund police” Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race, an AARP poll found Thursday.

The survey shows Republicans are picking up steam in the 2022 Senate races in which they must hold Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina and reclaim either Arizona, Nevada, Washington State, or Georgia to take back the Senate from Democrats.

The poll, conducted by Fabrizio Ward & Impact Research, revealed Johnson has increased his lead to five points (51-46 percent).

The poll shows Johnson has now captured majority support among voters, a key indicator in winning over undecideds. Johnson is also up by 10 points among independents, another massive margin combined with polling above 50 percent.

Johnson is also doing well with other segments of Wisconsinites:

Johnson runs 10-points stronger with men than women overall, and he is up 15-points with voters 50-64, while the race is tied among voters 65+. There’s a huge education gap on vote preference, with Johnson up 23-points among voters without college degrees, and Barnes with the same lead among voters with college degrees. Suburban voters are a competitive group with Johnson up by 9-points. Johnson is ahead by 10-points with white voters 50+, while Barnes is up 78% – 19% with Black voters 50+.

The poll sampled 1,399 likely Wisconsin voters from September 18-25 with a 4.4 margin of error.

Johnson’s polling lead has extended 4 points (48-44 percent) from an Emerson College poll on September 20. Six days prior, Johnson had taken the lead by 1 point (49 percent to 48 percent) in a Marquette Law School poll. Johnson had previously been trailing Barnes by 7 points (45-52) in August.

The polling is indicative of Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-FL) early investment in the race to frame Barnes as a soft on crime Democrat candidate. Indeed, that has proved not difficult to accomplish because of Barnes’s wild policy positions.

Barnes has stated police departments should be defunded. He also believes police do not prevent crimes. “Police don’t prevent crimes from happening,” Barnes falsely stated on Real Talk with Henry Sanders in 2020. “We don’t live in a surveillance state nor would you want to.”

Barnes has also advocated for abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and ending cash bail. During his time as lieutenant governor, Barnes has put at least 884 convicted criminals back onto the streets by releasing them on parole, Wisconsin Right Now reported. The massive number of convicted criminals reportedly includes 270 murderers and attempted murderers, as well as at least 44 child rapists.

When questioned in 2018 if he wanted to release half of Wisconsin’s inmate population, Barnes responded, “Absolutely.”

Barnes, who was elected as lieutenant governor in 2018, is one of the most radical Democrats running for office this cycle, though he reportedly does not think of himself as a “progressive” Democrat anymore to “appear less polarizing” in his race against Johnson.

But evidence shows Barnes to be telling untruths, according to many videos unearthed by the Republican National Committee. Barnes has stated a number of radical views about race and the founding of the nation.

“We’re still waiting for our moment for America to be great,” he has said. “We still don’t comprehend that campaign slogan because it is meaningless to us as a community.”

He has called the founding of the United States “awful” and criticized national parks as a part of the systemically racist fabric of America because the “parks are on land that was indigenous.”

To remedy the United States’ alleged systemic racism in the 21st century, he has used the theory of global warming to push for “equitable and inclusive” measures to end the “long pattern of environmental racism we have witnessed in this country.”

In addition, Critical Race Theory taught in schools is equivalent hard sciences taught to students, according to Barnes. “I liken [CRT] to learning about science — like this is what it is, and people should know about it,” Barnes stated in 2021 about school curriculums. “My response is, you know, are you that ashamed of reality or that ashamed of the history that you want to make it [CRT] illegal for people to learn about it?”

Disney’s ‘Andor’ Executive Producer Says The Show’s ‘Good Senator’ Is a ‘Nancy Pelosi Character’

Disney’s Star Wars: Andor executive producer Tony Gilroy claimed in a recent interview that his “good senator” character is fashioned after Nancy Pelosi, “trying to do good” for the rebels fighting the empire.

In episode four, entitled “Aldhani,” we see the heist planned by rebel forces beginning to come into focus, but we also learn that Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly), a senator from the planet Chandrila, is part of a cabal inside the Empire that is secretly helping to fund the rebel scheme.

The Mothma character debuted in 2005’s Revenge of the Sith before being depicted as a major rebel leader in Star Wars Rebels as well as 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Now, in a series that will fill in far more of Mothma’s back story, we find that showrunner Gilroy thinks his character who is putting her life at risk by bankrolling rebels is a “Nancy Pelosi character.”

Actress Fiona Shaw previously claimed that Gilroy’s Andor series is meant to portray the evil Empire as a “Trumpian” world where “people’s rights are disappearing.” And now, piling onto that conception, Gilroy claims that his model for the good guys is the Democrat Party, and in particular Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

“Anyone who follows the canon — she’s sort of a Nancy Pelosi character, isn’t she?” Gilroy said in a recent interview, according to IndieWire. “She’s kind of trying to do good or whatever she’s trying to do, and she’s losing — I mean, I don’t know.”

“She a powerful presence in the Senate but she’s facing defeat after defeat after defeat as the Empire is taking over here. She’s always presented as very proper and sober and perfectly put together all the time in canon and it just seemed like that was such a perfect opportunity to say, ‘Well what’s really going on behind here?’ It was very exciting to take a sort of still portrait of someone and throw it away and build a real life behind it,” Gilroy said appearing to claim that Nancy Pelosi is a “put together” person.

“She has a much, much, much more complicated life [than] anybody was ever aware, and in many ways, of all the people that walk through this show and face all kinds of decisions and problems and pressures and the hiding and chasing and betrayal — she has to stand out almost in the open for the whole show, in a really dangerous position,” Gilroy concluded. “In many ways her story is the most tense story in the whole show, because she has to do everything in the open.”

Mothma actress O’Reilly herself had other extreme, left-wing politicians in mind when playing her Andor part. In an interview of her own, O’Reilly claimed that she used Squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and GOP traitor Liz Cheney as models for her Mothma depiction.

Using Democrats as a shining example of freedom is an interesting contrast to the actual party which is trying to eliminatefreedom of speech, cancel the law of the land, U.S. Constitution, end judicial autonomy by packing courts with “judges” beholding to an agenda, not the rule of law, and labelingpolitical opponents as terrorists.

Ron DeSantis Bashes Media Trying to Politicize Storm: ‘Give Me a Break’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) this week sharply dismissed establishment media attempts to politicize Hurricane Ian as they seem to salivate over the possibility of the DeSantis administration botching the response.

A reporter asked the governor about supposed concerns over Florida lacking response to the storm thus far, and DeSantis immediately questioned the validity of the inquiry.

“Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Give me a break. That is nonsense. Stop politicizing. Okay? Stop it,” DeSantis said, detailing that the state declared a state of emergency early on.

“We’ve had people in here. You’ve had counties doing — they’ve done a lot of hard work. And honestly, you’re trying to attack me, I get. But like, you’re attacking these other people who’ve worked very hard and so that’s just totally false,” DeSantis said.

“I don’t think we’ve ever — certainly since I’ve been governor — declared a state emergency this early. We made sure that we were very inclusive with it,” he continued.

“We said that there was a lot of uncertainty and then we’ve worked to make sure the preparations that have been done, and all the stuff — you talk to the people at the counties when they’ve needed something, stuff gets there very quickly because of what Kevin and his team have done,” the governor added:

Indeed, Politico is among establishment outlets that have pondered if DeSantis will come out on top in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, as Breitbart News detailed.

The governor, along with state emergency officials, have continued to provide frequent updates on the storm, which is making landfall in southwest Florida as a major hurricane.

Key Russian Black Sea gas pipeline under threat – US state media

RFE/RL claims the Netherlands has revoked the license of TurkStream operator

If the TurkStream natural gas pipeline is damaged, its operator won’t be able to mount repairs damage because the Dutch government has revoked a key license due to EU sanctions against Russia, US state-run RFE/RL alleged on Thursday.

The outlet claimed to have obtained a letter from Oleg Aksyutin, CEO of South Stream Transport BV, informing the company’s managers to stop all work and cancel contracts with Western suppliers. The letter is reportedly dated September 14, and says that the Netherlands – where the company is registered – had canceled its operating license, effective September 17.

South Stream Transport operates TurkStream, a pipeline finalized in 2020, which runs under the Black Sea to Türkiye and then on to Serbia and Hungary. It has an annual capacity of 33 billion cubic meters of gas. According to Reuters, SouthStream confirmed on Thursday that the license has been revoked, but said it had requested a resumption and “will continue gas transportation.”

The suspension affects “all contracts related to the technical support of the gas pipeline,” including “design, manufacture, assembly, testing, repair, maintenance, and training,” according to RFE/RL.

While there are no reports about interruptions in the TurkStream supply, RFE/RL noted that much of the pipeline is at the depth of three kilometers, and needs to be constantly monitored for damage due to “seismic activity”.

The revelation comes just days after both Nord Stream pipelines under the Baltic Sea were disabled in a series of explosions, venting millions of cubic meters of gas into the water. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the explosions as an “act of international terrorism” and Moscow intends to raise it before the UN Security Council.

NATO said Thursday that the pipelines were damaged in what appeared to be a “deliberate, reckless, and irresponsible acts of sabotage,”promising to meet any attack on its critical infrastructure “with a united and determined response.”

The US, which has long tried to stop NordStream and managed to derail TurkStream’s predecessor SouthStream – which the Dutch-based company was originally supposed to manage – has denied having anything to do with the Baltic Sea explosions.

Commenting on the reported sabotage on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said it would be “in no one’s interest,”but then added that the situation represents “a very significant opportunity” for the EU to “finally end” its dependence on Russian gas and “accelerate the transition to renewables.”

TurkStream is the last remaining pipeline for Russian natural gas to reach the EU. The Yamal pipeline through Poland was shut off in May, due to Russian counter-sanctions against Warsaw, while Gazprom halted deliveries through Ukraine on September 27.

German inflation at highest level since Nazi-era

The surge in consumer prices in the past year exceeded 10%, Destatis has reported

Inflation in Germany sawyear-on-year growth of 10.9% in September, up from 8.8% recorded in the previous month, official data released on Thursday by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) shows.

The readings came in higher than the market expectation of 9.4%, and marked a record high since the creation of the euro in 1999.

Soaring food and energy prices reportedly had a considerable impact on the high inflation rate.

“Energy prices were 43.9% higher in September 2022 than in September 2021,” the agency said in a press release. “There was also an above-average rise in food prices by 18.7% from the same month of the previous year.”

On Thursday, the German government agreed a €200 billion ($194 billion) package to “cushion rising energy costs and the most severe consequences for consumers and businesses.” Under the plan, which will be financed with new borrowing, Berlin will introduce an emergency price brake on gas and electricity. It will also scrap a planned gas levy on consumers to avoid further price increases.

The detailed information, along with final data on the level of inflation in September, will be published by Destatis on October 13.
