Nord Stream pipelines can be restored – Moscow

The process would be time-consuming and costly, according to Russia’s deputy PM

Russia may be able to fix the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which were damaged earlier this week, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak said on Sunday.

“There are technical possibilities to restore the infrastructure, it requires time and appropriate funds. I am sure that appropriate opportunities will be found,” Novak told Russia 1 TV.

According to the official, however, the first step should be to determine who is behind the incident.

“As of today, we proceed from the fact that it is necessary, first of all, to figure out who did it, and we are sure that certain countries, which had expressed their positions before, were interested in it. Both the US and Ukraine, as well as Poland at one time said that this infrastructure is not going to work, that they will do everything to make sure of it, so, of course, it is necessary to seriously look into it,” Novak stated.

Citing German security services, Der Tagesspiegel newspaper earlier reported that the damaged routes could be permanently out of use if they are not repaired quickly, as salt water could cause corrosion.

The Danish authorities reported leaks on both the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on Monday after a local pipeline operator noted a loss of pressure following a series of undersea explosions in the area. The Danish Energy Agency reported earlier on Sunday that the pressure on the Nord Stream 1 is stable and the gas leakage is over, while on Saturday, it said the Nord Stream 2 also stopped leaking gas.

The incident is widely considered to be the result of sabotage. Russia has called it a terrorist attack. While those behind it have not yet been identified, Moscow has blamed the US.

On February 1, 2020, when confronted with first evidence the Covid pandemic may have originated in the Wuhan Lab he funded via Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance, Fauci organized a conference call, apparently to discuss how to suppress this dangerous information, since the trail led straight to them.

On Feb. 19, 2020, Daszak, Farrar and others published a letter in The Lancet, saying that “We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.”

This letter was then used to suppress and censor the Chinese lab leak theory in Mainstream Media and on social media for over a year. There was, and remains, no evidence for the “scientists’” claims that COVID-19 was a naturally occurring virus.

There is also evidence that US doctors and institutions knew they were working with the Chinese military on COVID-related research.

Now this — Just when you thought the world could not get any crazier, Dr. Peter Daszak was just awarded a new grant to study bat viruses in Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.

Nord Stream Whodunnit: CIA Fingers the Ukrainians

The whodunnit around the greatest act of industrial sabotage since WW II, blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on Monday 9/26, continues. While Mainstream Media have already concluded with no evidence that “Russia, Russia, Russia” did it, critical pundits like Tucker Carlson and Darren Beattie have pointed out the US has much more motivation and repeatedly demanded an end to Nord Stream.

Now, a CIA report raises another possible culprit no one has mentioned so far: Our good friends, the Ukrainians.

An article from the English-language edition of German left-wing “Der Spiegel” magazine claims the US secret service tapped the Russians and learned they had expressed the suspicion that Kyiv was planning an attack on the pipelines. The Ukrainians are said to have even tried to rent a boat in Sweden for this purpose.

“The Germans were warned in summer by the CIA about a possible attack scenario on the Nord Stream pipelines. US Intelligence claimed to have intercepted Russian communications in which concerns were expressed about possible Ukrainian attacks on Western infrastructure. The Ukrainians allegedly tried to rent a boat in Sweden for this purpose.”

However, the US secret service did not classify this scenario as particularly likely, writes Swiss Weltwoche: “The CIA did not consider the scenario of a Ukrainian attack to be very credible”. Nevertheless, they apparently decided to pass this information on to the Germans.

He may settle this dispute in Ukraine on terms that we may not like. But other than Poland no one is interested in going to war with Russia. If we persist on this design, we will see NATO dissolve and fragment…

Scottish Government Orders Investigation Into Recent Spike in New Born Baby Deaths

Its the second time in six months that death records have hit a worrying level and now an official review into the circumstances hopes to reveal what went wrong.

A spike in the death rate of newborn babies across Scotland has prompted a review.

The Scottish Government announced the probe following higher-than-expected deaths in both September 2021 and March 2022.

It will cover all reported deaths in the year from April 2021, to find out what may have contributed to the increase after experts ruled out Coronavirus.

Figures show at least 18 babies under the age of four weeks died in March - a rate of 4.6 per 1,000 births - while as many as 21 died in September 2021, a rate of 4.9 per 1,000 births.

While infant death rates vary from month to month, the average among newborns is just over two per 1,000 births with neonatal mortality defined as death within 28 days of birth.

This is the second time since current records began in July 2017 and the second time in six months that the neonatal mortality rate hit 4.8 per 1000 live births, well beyond an upper warning threshold known as the “control limit”.

Coronavirus was suspected of playing a role but experts, while describing the figures as "really troubling" did not directly linked to the virus.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland has been commissioned to lead the review, which is expected to take up to nine months. Findings will be passed on to improve the care for mothers and babies.

‘We Own the Science’: WEF, UN Partner With Big Tech to Crush Researchers, Push Climate Hoax

A high-level UN secretary and World Economic Forum advisor boasted of a partnership with big tech to crush factual research and push WEF-ordained pseudo-science.

A World Economic Forum advisor attached to the United Nations says that the globalist organizations have partnered with Google to manipulate search engine results and crush scientists whose research counters their narrative on climate change. “We own the science,” the advisor boasted during a sit-down interview.

Melissa Fleming, the UN’s Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications and an advisor to the World Economic Forum, claimed that the globalist organizations “own the science” that supposedly spells climate disaster for mankind during a WEF panel on “tackling disinformation.”

Any scientific research that indicates humanity will face anything other than total doom should they not buy into the globalists’ dystopic agenda is conveniently categorized as “disinformation.” This, Fleming explained, is through the World Economic Forum and United Nation’s partnerships with Google and other Big Tech corporations.

“We partnered with Google,” Fleming said at the WEF panel. “For example, if you Google ‘climate change,’ you will, at the top of your search, you will get all kinds of UN resources.”

Fleming says that the partnership began when she and her globalist peers were “shocked” to see research countering their “climate change” narrative in Google search engine results. Apparently incapable of following the scientific process to dispel the research, Fleming says that they ordered Google to remove it.

“We started this partnership when we were shocked to see that when we Googled ‘climate change’ we were getting incredibly distorted information right at the top,” Fleming went on, before declaring that the World Economic Forum and United Nations “own the science.”

“So, we’re becoming much more proactive,” said Fleming. “You know, we own the science and we think that the world should know it.”

Crushing dissent, Fleming said, shouldn’t just be confined to climate “science.”

“It’s a huge huge challenge that I think all sectors of society need to be very active in,” Fleming told the WEF interviewer.

Investigation Into FBI ‘Corruption’ Impeded by John Durham Investigation: Senator

Special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion claims has prevented lawmakers from obtaining more information about possible misconduct at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ), said Sen. Ron Jonhson (R-Wis.).

“Our efforts in terms of investigating Hunter Biden and corruption within the FBI was certainly hampered because we had an active criminal investigation under John Durham,” Johnson told Newsmax on Friday, adding that Durham so far has successfully prosecuted few individuals in connection to his investigation.

Overall, Johnson said that he is “not particularly satisfied” with Durham’s probe and the lack of convictions, including what he described as a failure to secure a conviction for lawyer Michael Sussmann. Sussmann was accused by Durham of lying to the FBI while he was working for a law firm representing the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016, but was acquitted in May of this year.

Durham was appointed in 2019 by then-Attorney General William Barr to investigate government misconduct in the FBI Crossfire Hurricane investigation. So far, the investigation has netted the conviction and sentencing of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who received probation last year.

“And at a minimum, I certainly hope that whatever report [Durham] turns in to Attorney General Merrick Garland that that report be made public,” Johnson said. “The American public deserves to know the truth of the corruption was occurring within the Department of Justice in the FBI.”

Igor Danchenko, a Russian-born national who was the alleged primary source for the controversial dossier concocted by former UK spy Christopher Steele, is slated to go to trial later this month. Danchenko, who has pleaded not guilty, could face up to 25 years in prison if he is convicted.

Last week, U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga declined to throw out any of the five charges filed against Danchenko after hearing arguments from Durham’s team and lawyers representing Danchenko.

Danchenko’s lawyers argued Thursday that all the charges should be dismissed because Danchenko’s answers to the FBI were technically true, if not necessarily illuminating. But Durham said that Danchenko’s statements, if examined in context rather than in isolation, will show that he knowingly lied.

“He knows exactly what the FBI is looking for, the context of those questions,” Durham said in a hearing last week.

Trenga acknowledged that the defense’s theory “can be a very persuasive, strong argument to a jury,” but said that ultimately the government met its burden to overcome a motion to dismiss. It will be up to a jury to determine whether the government can meet its burden of proving a crime beyond a reasonable doubt, a much higher standard. Trenga said he will revisit the issue during trial after the government presents its case.

A spokesperson for Durham’s team has not responded to The Epoch Times’ request for comment.

This comes as brands are pulling away from Twitter due to the problem with child pornography. Brands don’t want to be next to child porn.

Cybersecurity group Ghost Data released a new research report that was reviewed by Reuters about child sex abuse online that allegedly identified links to exploitative material containing child pornography. Subsequently, Dyson, Ecolab, and Mazda paused or pulled their ads or campaigns from the platform.

Brands pulling away from Twitter isn’t the only problem, though.

According to the Indian newspaper The Deccan Herald,

“Engaged in a fierce legal battle with Parag Agrawal-led micro-blogging platform over his termination of the $44 billion takeover deal, Musk’s criticism comes at a time when Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal said on Tuesday that the replies received from Twitter in the Child Pornography complaint were incomplete. The commission was not satisfied with it.”

The same publication calls on the Indian court system to review "several tweets on Twitter openly depicting videos and photographs of sexual acts involving children… Many tweets also depicted brutal rape and other non-consensual sexual activities with children and women.”

The DCW, or Delhi Commission for Women, has summoned the police. They’ve given Twitter until September 30 to give them a satisfactory response to their concerns as well. The Commission also has a problem with the images and videos appearing on Twitter. They want answers

as to why the videos were allowed on the platform instead of being removed.

According to The Daily Wire, “Andrew Stoppa, the founder of Ghost Data, said in a tweet Monday that he promised to release research about Twitter, adding the company ‘has a severe problem with child pornography.’”

Twitter has a problem, admits it, and needs to take the measures necessary to deal with it. Meanwhile, the TRUTH Social platform, founded by President Trump, has not been accused of having a child pornography problem.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Trump's opponent in the 2016 election, said on Thursday that she thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin was waiting for Trump to pull the U.S. out of NATO if reelected, leaving Ukraine defenseless against a Russian invasion.

"He got his dreams fulfilled when Trump was elected," Clinton said at a symposium at Georgetown University honoring the diplomatic legacy of the late Madeleine Albright. "And I believe that if Trump had been reelected, Putin would have waited for Trump to do what he said he was intending to do, which was to pull us out of NATO.

"And that would have created such a vacuum that invading Ukraine, which he thought was going to be easy anyway, would be a fait accompli."

Clinton said Putin didn't want to face Clinton as president so he meddled in the 2016 presidential election.

"He, you know, decided that he didn't want to face me as president," she said. "So he did all the things we now know he did that are well cataloged."

Looking back, former President Bill Clinton said he has no regrets about supporting the expansion of NATO during his time in office, despite the move angering Russia.

"I thought it was amazing when later some people said, 'Well, this just shows you what a mistake it was because it hurt Russia's feelings,'" he said. "And I thought, 'Well, would you rather instead of Ukraine, that Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic were worried about Russian expansionism?'"

Putin ultimately invaded Ukraine in February of 2022, more than a year after President Biden took office.

Students in religious public schools in Israel are at a higher risk of sexual harassment and assault than any other of the Jewish education streams, a new study examining cases of sexual abuse from the religious Zionist sector by the Ne’emanei Torah Va’avodah movement has found.

Researcher Ariel Finkelstein analyzed the scope and profile of sexual abuse victims in Israeli local authorities’ social services departments in 2020, by sector or stream.

In Israel, there are a number of educational streams: Secular public school (Mamlachti), religious public school (Mamlachti Dati) and ultra-Orthodox schools, which are either private or semi-private.

The distribution of the data on sexual abuse was filtered by sector, according to the type of educational stream where the victims are currently or were educated in their childhood.

What does the data tell us about Israeli schools?

According to the survey, the rate of victims in the welfare services following sexual abuse is higher among the students of the religious public school stream, who mainly represent people who identify themselves as religious-Zionist. For every 1,000 students in the stream, there are 2.39 students who were treated in welfare services as a result of sexual abuse, higher than in ultra-Orthodox education (1.98), and more than double the amount in the secular public school stream (1.04).

The study found a correlation between religiosity and a higher proportion of males treated for sexual abuse, especially among children.

Among secular male and female students ages 3-18 who were treated following sexual abuse, boys make up less than a third (31%), while in the religious public school stream, boys make up almost half of the victims (48%), and those in the ultra-Orthodox stream make up over half (53%).

For every 1,000 boys in the religious public school system, there are 2.3 who are treated in welfare services for sexual abuse, compared to 2.07 among those in ultra-orthodox education and only 0.61 among boys in secular schools.

“The results of the study are a cause of great concern,” said Shmuel Shatach, Executive Director of Ne’emanei Torah Va’avodah.

Ex-CIA director Petraeus says Ukraine war looks 'very dire' for Putin

"Russia is very much on the defensive, losing territory that they were able to seize earlier this year," Petraeus said.

Former CIA Director and retired Gen. David Petraeus said on Sunday the invasion of Ukraine "looks very dire" for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is ramping up the war with a so-called "partial" military mobilization.

Petraeus told WABC talk-radio host John Catsimatidis that Putin is in an "irreversibly desperate" situation as Kyiv has been more successful than Moscow in utilizing its military capabilities.

"The bottom line is Ukraine has done vastly better than Russia has in mobilizing its capabilities in recruiting, training, equipping – helped by the US and NATO nations big time – organizing, and employing additional forces and capabilities," he said.

"The result of that is that Ukraine is now taking back from Russia territory that Russian forces captured since the unprovoked invasion of February 24, and Russia is very much on the defensive, losing territory that they were able to seize earlier this year," Petraeus said.

Putin ordered what he called a "partial" military mobilization earlier this month against Ukraine that included drafting 300,000 troops.

"At the end of the day, the situation looks very dire indeed for Vladimir Putin," Petraeus said.

Russia annexed parts of Ukraine in a ceremony on Friday after holding a referendum in the four Ukrainian territories that the international community denounced as a "sham."

Petraeus said the world should not discount Putin's threats to deploy nuclear weapons in an effort to retain the Russian-controlled areas, but he ultimately thinks the rhetoric will be "empty."

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is simultaneously speed dating and playing on multiple diplomatic, religious, and economic chessboards. The latest feather in his crown, his appointment as prime minister, aims to ensure that he can continue to do so with as little collateral damage as possible.

The appointment shields him from legal proceedings in the United States, France, and potentially elsewhere, including the International Criminal Court in the Hague, in which plaintiffs assert that Mr. Bin Salman was responsible for the 2018 killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

As a head of government, Mr. Bin Salman enjoys sovereign immunity, a status he could not claim as heir-apparent. While the legal maneuver is certain to succeed, it is unlikely to significantly improve his image tarnished by the killing and his domestic crackdown on dissent that in recent weeks produced outlandish sentences to decades in prison for little more than a tweet.

Reputation issues have not stopped Mr. Bin Salman from shifting into high gear as he pushes ahead with efforts to diversify Saudi Arabia’s oil-dependent economy; replace regional competitors like the United Arab Emirates and Qatar as the center of gravity at the intersection of Asia, Africa, and Europe; demonstrate his diplomatic clout and relevance beyond oil to the international community; and position himself and the kingdom as the beacon of a moderate, albeit an autocratic, form of Islam.

Mr. Bin Salman’s multi-pronged dash has produced mixed results.

In his latest foray onto the international stage, Mr. Bin Salman sought to display his diplomatic skills and relevance to the international community by securing the release by Russia of ten foreign nationals captured while fighting for Ukraine. The foreigners’ release was part of a Ukrainian-Russian prisoner swap negotiated by Turkey.

Although Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan al Saud rejected as “very cynical” assertions that Mr. Bin Salman was seeking to shore up his image by associating himself with the swap, it seems likely that Russian President Vladimir Putin was happy to give him a helping hand.

Plan to bring wives, children of Islamic State fighters home to Australia

A mission is underway to bring the wives and children of former Islamic State fighters home to Australia from refugee camps in Syria.

About 20 women and 40 children have been held in the detention camps there since the fall of the Islamic State in 2019.

9News understands Australian officials have already visited the camps earlier this year to verify their identities.

They are largely the Australian wives, sisters and children of Islamic State fighters, but many of them insist they were taken to the Middle East against their will.

Concerns have repeatedly been raised for their welfare.

The former federal government resisted calls for their repatriation, arguing there were security concerns in bringing people back from Syria.

But Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neil told Nine newspapers the current government's overriding priority was the protection of Australians.

The families are likely to be brought back to Australia gradually in the coming months.

74-Year-Old Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Dies Unexpectedly

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Max Baer, a Democrat, died unexpectedly overnight on Friday.

The 74-year-old passed away suddenly at his home near Pittsburgh, the court announced on Saturday.

The cause of death was not released.

Mr. Baer was set to retire at the end of 2022.

“This is a tremendous loss for the court and all of Pennsylvania,” Chief Justice Todd said in a statement. “Chief Justice Baer was an influential and intellectual jurist whose unwavering focus was on administering fair and balanced justice. He was a tireless champion for children, devoted to protecting and providing for our youngest and most vulnerable citizens.”

Baer was replaced by Justice Debra Todd, also a Democrat.

“Justice Debra A. Todd, who like Baer is a Democrat from Western Pennsylvania, becomes the new chief justice, the first woman to lead the state Supreme Court. Of the six other justices, Todd had the longest continuous service on the court, joining it in 2008. She turns 65 later this month.” The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which helped Democrat Governor Wolf override the state constitution and allow for mail-in ballots in the 2020 election, has a 5-2 Democrat majority.

Max Baer, the chief justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, died overnight Friday. He was 74.

Mr. Baer, first elected to the Supreme Court in 2003, was sworn in as its chief justice in 2021. He was set to retire at the end of 2022, after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 75 on Dec. 24.

The state Supreme Court confirmed his death in a news release Saturday morning. A cause of death was not immediately available. Justice Debra Todd, who was set to replace Mr. Baer in January after he retired, will now serve as chief justice, the court announced. She is the first woman to lead the state’s highest court.

Max Baer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971 and from Duquesne’s night law school program in 1975. He was scheduled to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the law school on Oct. 14.

He served as deputy attorney general for Pennsylvania from 1975 to 1980, and then moved to private practice for nine years. Mr. Baer was elected as an Allegheny County Common Pleas Court judge in 1989, spending most of his time in the court’s family division. He earned national recognition for his juvenile court reforms.
