PayByFace Will Expand its Face Recognition Payments System to the US

According to the Chief Executive Officer of a retail biometrics company based in Bucharest, Romania, a new payment method will soon be implemented in the United States.

Romanian biometric firm PayByFace has deployed its face recognition-powered payment solutions in South Africa, India, UAE, and the US, according to the Biometric Update.

The news was first shared on LinkedIn by CEO Mihai Draghici last summer.

“PayByFace has launched 4 new markets this month: 1) S. Africa 2) India 3) UAE 4) USA Visit each website locally for details on how you can start joining our innovative payment platform!” Draghici wrote.

According to its website, PayByFace is a customer-centric, seamless and secure digital payment ecosystem for a safer, faster, and more convenient shopping experience. It makes purchases with a selfie, without needing cash, a card or a phone.

The system is currently being used in Bucharest, Romania in over 50 locations like salons and coffee shops.

The company’s CEO Mihai Draghici discussed the news with Biometric Update in an email interview.

“As a pioneer EU fintech start-up committed to enabling global movement towards a cashless and cardless society, using face as a highly secured virtual card, we have to go outside the EU to understand the global shoppers,” Draghici says.

According to the CEO, India, UAE, the U.S., and South Africa are dynamic markets, where retailers started to incorporate biometric payments into their point-of-sale (POS) processes to reduce friction in check-out transactions, eliminate fraud, and capitalize on operational efficiencies.

“As PayByFace, we must not only be present in these markets but lead the process with best practices and learn so as to better scale this unique solution worldwide,” Draghici explains.

Further, the CEO says that, besides simplifying payments and adding value to loyalty programs, PayByFace strives to reach superior levels of transaction security and reliability from a shopper-centric perspective.

“We offer four instant cross-check security touchpoints for validating a payment, much above the traditional means of payments we are used to; while its GDPR-compliant, the ultra-scalable on-demand decentralized architecture allows authentication in less than 1 second,” Draghici explains.

Russia Adds Facebook Parent Meta To 'Terrorists And Extremists' List

Russia's financial monitoring agency, Rosfinmonitoring, has added Meta Platforms to its list of "terrorists and extremists," according to Interfax news agency.

In March, the Facebook parent was found guilty of "extremist activity" - while in June a Moscow court rejected an appeal.

Meta's lawyer argued that the company was not carrying out extremist activity and was against Russophobia, Reuters reports.

Russia restricted access Facebook and Instagram, as well as Twitter, following the Kremlin's decision to send tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine on Feb 24.

Facebook was initially banned for restricting access to Russian media, while Instagram was placed on the list after saying it would allow social media users in Ukraine to post messages which urged violence against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his troops.

U.S. Big Pharma Partners With Chinese University Tied To Military and Espionage Efforts.

American pharmaceutical firms are partnering with Chinese universities – including those with ties to Beijing’s military and espionage efforts – to produce new drugs.

Bristol-Myers Squibb, one of America’s largest pharmaceutical firms, announced a partnership with the Chinese Communist Party-controlled Tsinghua University to find drugs aimed at treating novel cancers and autoimmune diseases.

The Chinese university, however, has launched cyberattacks against the U.S. government and having a “clear connection” to the Chinese government on issues of technology and national security according to the U.S. State Department.

The school is the alma mater of regime leader Xi Jinping and hosts a “Marxist” journalism school, training the next generation of Chinese state-run media propagandists with the assistance of the New York Times, CNN, and others.

Tsinghua University has also been flagged as “very high risk” for the work it carries out to advance China’s military.

Per the agreement, the Innovation Center for Immune Therapy of Tsinghua University will discover therapeutics that Bristol-Myers Squibb can choose to license. The agreement expands upon collaborative research between the two entities which began in 2013 focused on autoimmune target discovery and structural biology.

In a press release, Carl Decicco, senior vice president and Head of Discovery at Bristol-Myers Squibb, praised the institution and celebrated the forthcoming collaboration:

“Tsinghua University is a highly respected research institution with leading capabilities and scientific talent focused on accelerating basic research into potential new therapies. We look forward to bringing projects forward that will benefit from their innovative research in immunology and autoimmune disease.”

The partnership follows controversy over American researchers working with researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, manipulating bat coronavirus strains to become more lethal to humans at taxpayer expense.

A prominent Reform rabbi in New York City is launching a program that aims to push back against anti-Zionism within the religious movement, as younger US Jews slide away from steadfast support for Israel.

Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch, the senior rabbi of Manhattan’s Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, said his Amplify Israel initiative aims to “breathe new life into the principles we’ve been committed to for decades” with an array of programs aimed at bolstering support for Israel and aligning Zionism with liberal ideology. He views the struggle as existential for the Reform movement and American Jewry.

“We want to impact first and foremost on the Reform movement and through the Reform movement to the broader American Jewish community, to slow down, eventually stop and reverse the anti-Israel, anti-Zionist encroachment,” he said during a recent interview with The Times of Israel.

“A movement of Jews separated from the root of Jewish peoplehood will eventually be like leaves falling from the tree,” he said. “There won’t be enough substance for them to sustain Judaism.”

Polls have shown that younger American Jews are increasingly estranged from Israel, with many frustrated by its treatment of the Palestinians, right-wing politics and Orthodox religious establishment, among other issues. A firm majority of US Jewry continues to support and connect with the Jewish state, though.

“In a COVID hearing in the European Parliament, one of the Pfizer directors just admitted to me at the time of introduction, the vaccine had never been tested on stopping the transmission of the virus,” Roos said.

Can’t Make This Up – Moderna CEO Announces Development of New mRNA “Injection” to Repair Heart Muscle After a Heart Attack

Ever since the experimental Covid-19 ‘vaccine’ was introduced, a staggering and horrifying phenomenon has been sweeping the Western world. We have seen it happen to athletes, performers, musicians, news anchors, soldiers, high schoolers, healthcare workers, random people, politicians, and so on. This week, the vaccine maker officially announced it has developed a ‘cure’ for the tyrannical medical-industrial complex’s latest manufactured health crisis. In the wake of all of the cardiac-related death and sickness caused by the first iterations of the experimental mRNA vaccine, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel revealed the company’s new treatment for heart attacks – another mRNA injection! This time, however, instead of going into your arm, it will be shot directly into the heart muscle… For maximum damage effect, of course.

Speaking with SkyNews Australia Business Weekend, Bancel detailed Moderna’s new experimental mRNA injection, which he says will “grow back new blood vessels and revascularize the heart.” Naturally, the multi-millionaire Big Pharma executive whose company made billions and counting by conducting illegal gene therapy experimentation on billions of unsuspecting people touted the developments as “super exciting,” before clarifying the treatment would “inject mRNA in people’s heart[s].”

Bancel did not specify when Moderna will have the new ‘therapy’ ready for consumer use, but the process is presumably far along, as he said it is currently being tested in a clinical setting.

EXPOSED: Before Ukraine blew up Kerch Bridge, British spies plotted it

The Grayzone has obtained an April 2022 presentation drawn up for senior British intelligence officers hashing out an elaborate scheme to blow up Crimea’s Kerch Bridge with the involvement of specially trained Ukrainian soldiers. Almost six months after the plan was circulated, Kerch Bridge was attacked in an October 8th suicide bombing apparently overseen by Ukraine’s SBU intelligence services.

Detailed proposals for providing “audacious” support to Kiev’s “maritime raiding operations” were drafted at the request of Chris Donnelly, a senior British Army intelligence operative and veteran high ranking NATO advisor. The wide-ranging plan’s core component was “destruction of the bridge over the Kerch Strait.”

Documents and correspondence plotting the operation were provided to The Grayzone by an anonymous source.

The truck bombing of the Kerch Bridge differed operationally from the plot sketched therein. Yet, Britain’s evident interest in planning such an attack underscores the deep involvement of NATO powers in the Ukraine proxy war. At almost precisely the time that London reportedly sabotaged peace talks between Kiev and Moscow in April this year, British military intelligence operatives were drawing up blueprints to destroy a major Russian bridge crossed by thousands of civilians per day.

The roadmap was produced by Hugh Ward, a British military veteran. A number of strategies for helping Ukraine “pose a threat to Russian naval forces” in the Black Sea are outlined. The overriding objectives are stated as aiming to “degrade” Russia’s ability to blockade Kiev, “erode” Moscow’s “warfighting capability”, and isolate Russian land and maritime forces in Crimea by “denying resupply by sea and overland via Kerch bridge.”

In an email, Ward asked Donnelly to “please protect this document,” and it’s easy to see why. Of these assorted plans, only the “Kerch Bridge Raid CONOPS [concept of operation]” is subject to a dedicated annex at the conclusion of Ward’s report, underlining its significance.

The content amounts to direct, detailed advocacy for the commission of what could constitute a grave war crime. Markedly, in plotting ways to destroy a major passenger bridge, there is no reference to avoiding civilian casualties.

Across three separate pages, alongside diagrams, the author spells out the terms of the “mission” – “[disabling] the Kerch Bridge in a way that is audacious, disrupts road and rail access to Crimea and maritime access to the Sea of Azov.”

Ward suggests that destroying the bridge “would require a cruise missile battery to hit the two concrete pillars either side of the central steel arch, which will cause a complete structural failure,” and “prevent any road re-supply from the Russian mainland to Crimea and temporally [sic] disrupt the shipping lane.”
