So put a lock on your door to make it harder for thieves to break into your house and steal your stuff?

Don't you know that locks only keep honest people out? The thief will just break your window, they don't care.

And if you have them on vid doing it, and you bring the vid to the cops, and the cops don't do anything, then what?

You replace all of your stuff that the thieves stole. Replace your window, and the next day the thieves steal your stuff again and laugh at you.
