California Parents Outraged Over Elementary School’s New After School Satan Club

After school “Satan Clubs” are popping up all over the United States and parents are fighting back.

This time, parents in Bakersfield, California are expressing outrage after the Satanic Temple set up shop in Tehachapi’s Golden Hills Elementary School.

“The “After School Satan Club” will begin monthly meetings in December.

Paul Hicks, the leader of the Satan Club, said schools need clubs like his to counter the Christian-based clubs.

Parents told local outlet KBAK that they will not allow their children to attend the meetings.

“Tehachapi said yes, and I think they made a mistake. I know my grandson will not be a part of this club,” a grandparent to a 1st grader told KBAK.

Tehachapi’s Golden Hills Elementary School is getting a new after school club, but it’s not your typical dance or photography club.

Instead, they’ll be getting the “After School Satan Club,” sponsored by the Satanic Temple and Reason Alliance.

Still, many guardians of students at Golden Hills Elementary School in Tehachapi are upset about the introduction of the ASSC, and said it doesn’t belong in schools.

“I think it’s disgusting, I understand the school has to allow them because they allow other after school programs such as the good news, which is a Christian based after school program, that one I’m okay with, but I can’t imagine why anyone would want their child to attend this Satanic group,” said Sheila Knight, grandparent to a 5th grader at Golden Hills.

The Tehachapi Unified School District said in a statement that by law, they can’t discriminate against groups wanting to use their facilities based on a viewpoint, despite not endorsing any groups that host after school events on the property.

Despite this, some guardians still think it was the wrong choice.

Paul Hicks will be the leader for the new Tehachapi After School Satan Club, and is also a critical thinking professor.

He said Christian based clubs like the Good News Club is one reason why they think schools need the After School Satan Club.

“There’s currently a Good News Club there which is teaching kids to go save souls for Jesus, at the school. We want to give an alternative point of view,” said Hicks.

It gets better: Ray said that company’s audited financial statements should not be trusted, Ray said, adding that liquidators are working to rebuild balance sheets for FTX entities from the bottom up.

FTX “did not maintain centralized control of its cash” and failed to keep an accurate list of bank accounts and account signatories, or pay sufficient attention to the creditworthiness of banking partners, according to Ray. Advisers don’t yet know how much cash FTX Group had when it filed for bankruptcy, but has found about $560 million attributable to various FTX entities so far.

Although restructuring advisers have been in control of FTX for less than a week, they’ve seen enough to depict the crypto company as a deeply flawed enterprise. Lasting records of decision making are hard to come by: Bankman-Fried often communicated through applications that auto-deleted in short order and asked employees to do the same, according to Ray.

In the US there are requirements for companies to prepare timely and accurate financial statements. Auditors confirm these results and issue reports describing their work and what is being confirmed. It is important for the financials to be accurate and timely. FTX apparently didn’t do this.

In addition to all the issues with the financials, in a filing today, the debtors of FTX have requested that the names and lists of all the creditors of FTX be kept secret.

ICE says San Fran sheriff denied request to speak to illegal immigrant accused of attacking Pelosi

Sheriff originally claimed unidentified individual had posed as ICE agent; ICE says full identification was proffered

Federal officials this week appeared to rebuke a local California sheriff for allegedly denying a federal agent access to the illegal immigrant who reportedly attacked Paul Pelosi last month.

The San Francisco Sheriff’s Department this month told local news media that on Oct. 31 an unidentified individual "pretended to be a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent" in order to gain access to alleged Pelosi attacker David DePape.

Yet an ICE official this week told Fox News that the agency had indeed sent an agent to speak to DePape and that the agent in question presented full identification while there.

"The officer identified herself and presented her government issued credentials bearing her photo, name, position and organization," the official told the news network. "[San Francisco County Jail] denied the DO’s request to interview DePape."

The sheriff’s office following that statement reiterated to Fox its earlier claim that an unidentified individual arrived at the prison on Oct. 31 without proper ICE credentials.

Immigration officials often interview illegal immigrants accused of crimes as part of standard procedure, an official told Fox.

'Satanic' man involved in 'cult activity' killed Texas woman as part of 'human sacrifice,' cut off her toes, fingers, and ears: Police

Three people have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a Texas woman. Police say the woman was killed as part of a "human sacrifice," and she had her toes, fingers, and ears cut off by a "Satanic" man involved in "cult activity."

Last Sunday, police with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office made a welfare check on a 36-year-old woman in Joaquin, Texas. Around 4 p.m., officers discovered the dead body of Sarah Hopson in the bedroom. Police said she had been brutally murdered and mutilated.

Hobson allegedly suffered from large wounds to the right side of her head and forehead. Hopson's toes, fingers, and ears had reportedly been cut off. A deputy discovered a clear freezer bag of the woman's body parts between Hopson's legs, according to the affidavit.

Deputies noticed that the bedroom smelled of fresh paint, and the walls appeared to have been recently painted.

"Multiple cans of paint were found inside the room as well as 'several' Dollar General bags filled with an assortment of cleaning supplies, the affidavit reportedly said," Law & Crime reported. "A tool that indicates the presence of blood spatter even after it has been wiped away with household cleaning supplies reportedly showed large amounts of blood on the bedroom walls and spotting on the bedroom dresser."

The walls reportedly appeared to have "wiping marks," possibly signaling that someone cleaned the walls.

Law enforcement also found a razor knife, several wrenches on a chest of drawers, paint brushes, paint cans, and cleaning supplies at the crime scene, according to the affidavit. Investigators also discovered a pair of jeans with the Texas identification card belonging to Ethan Kyle Myers in the pocket, police documents said.

Police tracked down Myers and searched his car. Inside they found a shovel, plastic bags, a gallon of gasoline, a hammer, a tire tool, and a large rock in a trash bag smelling like gasoline, the affidavit stated.

Investigators noted that the tip of the rock matched Hopson's head wounds, police said.

On Thursday, police arrested Myers while he was allegedly hiding in the woods.

On the day police found Hopson dead, Allen Price and Teresa Louviere visited the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office to inform authorities that "Ethan Myers had done something to Sarah Hopson," the affidavit said. They claimed that Myers had been "acting strange," and noticed him fleeing Hopson's home with blood on him. Myers allegedly lived with the duo.

Price allegedly told police that Myers, 26, was involved in "cult activity."

Investigators questioned Myers' mother, who said her son "hears voices and is satanic," according to the affidavit. She reportedly also told police that Myers wanted to "sacrifice her."

Myers was charged with Hopson's murder and evading arrest. He is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $1.25 million bond.

Price and Louviere were arrested and charged with tampering and fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse. They are being held on a $250,000 bond.
