I guess when we say "modern", there's not much to point to in the last century or so, so maybe this is fair. But we should be honest and say that most things are at least reasonably genuine and effective prior to being infiltrated.
Masonry is but a vector. To be honest with you, it's mostly just a Boomer book club. What we really care about are the orders like S&B that work in conjunction with government agencies, NGOs, think tanks, etc. to build out their control apparatus with nepotism.
