If anything I started looking younger and stronger since I regularly started sunbathing (a decade now). Sunbathing stimulates skin peeling and turn-over rate, activates metabolism through Vit D and a lot more than we are told most likely. Just keep your skin hydrated externally with coconut oil or something else, and internally with coconut water. Sometimes I get a red dot or brown spot on my skin but that's because I nuked myself too long without building a base-tan yet. You can remove those by applying some Apple Cidar Vinegar on a cotton-ball and tape it over the spots for 24-48 hrs; the acid will melt it off. Works for warts / moles as well.
If you're a super White person that literally can't tan and is a perpetual tomato during summer then maybe breed with a Balkan Legend and acquire the tanning gene.
Just my personal experience though, if the sun actually damages DNA then that sux yo. But those rays can pass through you and kill bad shit too. You can also give your DNA a forcefield / barrier instead of just avoiding everything; 2 different strategies.
