"The decision was made at the highest levels of the company, but without the knowledge of CEO Jack Dorsey, with former head of legal, policy and trust Vijaya Gadde playing a key role," reported journalist Matt Taibbi.
On Friday, files released in regards to Twitter’s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020 revealed that former Head of Legal, Police, and Trust Vijaya Gadde played a "key role" in the story’s suppression.
"The decision was made at the highest levels of the company, but without the knowledge of CEO Jack Dorsey, with former head of legal, policy and trust Vijaya Gadde playing a key role," wrote journalist Matt Taibbi.
In one screenshots exchange, Gadde could be seen communicating with other high-up Twitter employees, including former Trust and Safety Chief Yoel Roth, regarding censoring the story for being "unsafe."
Shortly after taking control of the company in October, Elon Musk was quick to remove a number of company heads, including Gadde.
