Bill of Rights Day commemorates the ratification

of the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

This day aims to show appreciation for the rights

and liberties granted to the people by the Constitution.

Some of these rights include freedom of speech,

the right to protest, and due process of law.

 

The Bill of Rights was written by James Madison.

It was ratified by Congress on December 15, 1791.

 

Bill of Rights Day was established in 1941 by

U.S President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

It is observed annually on December 15th.
