NEW FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP: The most important reform needed right now is a total ban on Biden using taxpayer dollars to free illegal aliens ā€” and criminal penalties for administrative noncompliance, which happens every single minute of every single day.

REP. MATT GAETZ: Republicans Need A Real Leader, Not Kevin McCarthy

On Jan. 3rd, Republicans will start the process of choosing the House Speaker. The Speaker will be second in line for the presidency and the most powerful elected Republican.

The vote will take several ballots and possibly many days. After internal debate, Republicans will come together and pick the right leader for the role and that should not be Kevin McCarthy.

The McCarthy camp is spinning that Kevin must be accepted because ā€œwe have to avoid chaos.ā€ Chaos for who exactly? The special interests that are counting on McCarthy as their lapdog? Iā€™m worried about chaos in the lives of my constituents. They live under the chaos of vaccine mandates pushed by Kevinā€™s donors.

How well did Speaker Paul Ryan serve conservatives during then-President Donald Trumpā€™s first term? Are we glad that his tenure got off to a smooth start? It would have been better to have debated and chosen the right leader. Ryan, of course, supports McCarthy.

Every single Republican in Congress knows that Kevin does not actually believe anything. He has no ideology.

Some conservatives are using this fact to convince themselves that he is the right leader for the moment, as McCarthy is so weak heā€™ll promise anything to anyone. As his mentor recently confessed, ā€œHe lies. Heā€™ll change the lie if necessary.ā€ McCarthy doesnā€™t just respond to pressure from the Right.

During several important junctures in the past decade, weā€™ve seen Cavinā€™ McCarthy.

On Ukraine, McCarthy voted yes for the $40 billion Ukraine aid package in May. He even pushed the Biden administration to further escalate conflict with Russia as he called for fighter jets to be transferred to Ukraine. During the Obama administration, McCarthy called for a no-fly zone to be enforced in Syria while the Russian military was operating there.

McCarthy even bought into the Russia hoax. In June 2016, McCarthy told other GOP congressmen, ā€œThereā€™s two people I think Putin pays: [Rep. Dana] Rohrabacher and Trump.ā€ If heā€™ll fall for the Russia hoax, you wonā€™t be surprised that McCarthy took a knee to Black Lives Matter when it mattered.

McCarthy joined Democrats last year to vote to remove historical monuments from the U.S. Capitol building. This is who Kevin is. He sticks his wet finger in the air to decide what position to take.

He told confidants that Trump should be censured or resign.

Leaders donā€™t wait to see what the crowd wants. Leaders also donā€™t take orders from lobbyists. McCarthy, who was previously honored as one of ā€œthe tech industryā€™s best friends in Congress,ā€ opposes legislation that would break up companies like Amazon and Apple.

Would it surprise you if you found out that Jeff Miller, Kevin McCarthyā€™s ā€œconfidant,ā€ was a registered lobbyist for Apple and Amazon? Apple and Amazon paid Millerā€™s firm over $1 million to lobby Republican members against breaking up Big Tech.

Why exactly again are we supposed to coronate a man whose top adviser is a corporate lobbyist for the likes of Pfizer?

McCarthy also failed in his duties to deliver a resounding House majority. He told voters we would have a 20-seat plus majority and said that 2022 could be ā€œone of the biggest election losses for Democrats.ā€

Instead, we have a four-seat majority. It could be larger. McCarthyā€™s campaign to falsely claim Joe Kent is a socialist played a role in Kentā€™s tight 5,000 vote loss in Washington. Republican nominee Karoline Leavitt had McCarthy working against her up until her September primary. She fell just short in November.

In sports, when the team loses games it is supposed to win, the coach gets fired. In business, when earnings vastly miss projections, the CEO is replaced. In Republican politics, a promotion shouldnā€™t be failureā€™s chaser.

McCarthy knows he will end up failing Republicans and caving to liberals. Thatā€™s why he opposes reinstating the motion to vacate, which was in place from 1801 to 2018. He wants to make sure conservative congressmen canā€™t fix the problem once itā€™s too late.

Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has a response to criticism from Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene about Boebertā€™s stance on potential GOP House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

ā€œIā€™ve been asked to explain MTGā€™s belief in Jewish space lasers, why she showed up to a white supremacistā€™s conference, and now why sheā€™s blindly following Kevin McCarthy and Iā€™m not going to go there,ā€ Boebert told the Daily Caller.

ā€œThe only person who can answer for Marjorieā€™s words and actions is Marjorie. Let me be very clear, I support President Trump. Period. President Trump is a friend and the leader of the Republican party,ā€ Boebert added.

Greene tweeted, ā€œIā€™ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes,ā€ in a thread criticizing Boebert.

ā€œLauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite,ā€ Greene added.

Boebert expressed her belief that there needs to be an ā€œinside conversationā€ about McCarthy in response to a question about Greeneā€™s endorsement of McCarthy.

Rep Andy Biggs

@RepAndyBiggsAZ

I was told when we were in the minority that we shouldnā€™t make changes to our leadership.

I was told we would have a ā€œred wave" so we shouldn't change our leader.

Now I am told that since we have a majority we must not change our leader.

I disagree.

I Cannot Vote for Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker

It is time to make a change.

By Andy Biggs

November 17, 2022

https://amgreatness.com/2022/11/17/i-cannot-vote-for-kevin-mccarthy-as-house-speaker/

During this midterm campaign, I attended hundreds of events in my district, around Arizona, and around the country. The issue I was asked about most often was whether I or the Republicans in the House, or the Republicans in the Senate, would keep the same leaders.

Not only did my constituents want the ā€œred waveā€ that didnā€™t materialize, they also wanted new leadership.

They told me that they want a leader who will take on the Biden Administration. A leader who will not acquiesce in the abrogation of our rights. They want someone who will use every tool, every procedure, and all of the processes available to fight against the radical Left they know has taken over our government.

Weā€™re living in a new world. The Left controls every institution. Woke schools. Woke military. Woke corporate board rooms. Woke religious institutions. Over-the-top woke post-secondary education institutions. Bureaucrats in every agency or department at the federal level have gone as far left as they can.

Rightly or wrongly, conservatives and Republicans have been blamed almost as much as the Democrats for this left turn.

Democrats seem not only to have tolerated the radicals in their midst, but they have also embraced them and put them on pedestals. They can be justly rebuked for that.

But, for conservatives, the Republicans are culpable for failing to put the brakes on the Left. Many of my constituents justifiably turned their ire on Republicans. They want us to fight. They want us to use every tool in the toolbox to prevent the further devolution of our constitutional rights.

That is what I have tried to do every day since I was first elected to Congress.

It is imperative to use every tool to further freedomā€™s cause, and every implement to prevent the progress of the malevolent policies of the radical leftists that control the Democrats.

I urged current Republican House leaders to use ā€œmust-passā€ legislation as leverage to change bad policies. For instance, the National Defense Authorization Act is a bill that gives Republicans tremendous leverage because most Democrats donā€™t want to support our troops, so the bill needs Republicansā€™ support to pass.

We could have leveraged it to exclude many provisions that advanced wokeism, such as the establishment of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office. How about cleaning up the bill by eliminating a provision that provided banking provisions for marijuana dispensaries, which has nothing to do with funding our military? And, most importantly, we could have demanded that military personnel dismissed from service solely for refusing the COVID vaccine be reinstated. We didnā€™t do any of that. That was a missed opportunity.

There will be more opportunities in the next term of Congress.

We need a leader who will open up the process to members of Congress by moving congressional authority away from the leadership and toward the members.

We need a leader who will be an open and honest broker, facilitating the kind of comity that inspires all members of Congress to come together. Why not eliminate massive, multi-subject bills? We should be handling more streamlined, single-subject bills. And, we should make sure every member has at least 72 hours to read every bill before it comes to the floor. Robust debate should be encouraged, as well as the opportunity for members to offer amendments on legislation.

The Republicans in Congress have decided itā€™s better to cling to the status quo than to make change. I was told in 2020 that we were in the minority and shouldnā€™t make changes to our leadership. This year, I was told we would have a ā€œred waveā€ gaining 25 seats or more, so we wouldnā€™t want to change our leader, that our leaders earned the right to lead again.

Now I am told that we will barely have a three-seat majority, so we must not change leaders in order to protect unity.

I disagree. I believe it is time to make a change. Those thoughts are most immutable. Our current candidate for speaker doesnā€™t have the 218 votes necessary to become speaker on January 3, 2023.

I do not believe he will ever get to 218 votes, and I refuse to assist him in his effort to get those votes.

In the end, I must concur with my constituents: it is time to make a change at the top of the House of Representatives. I cannot vote for the gentleman from California, Mr. McCarthy.

Define the ultimate #GovernmentGangster fraud: fly zelenski to America, paid for by Americans, so he can ask Americans for money, only to have congress cut him a multi billion dollar check, and leave on a plane back to the Ukraine paid for by Americans, heavy billions of American dollars- that will no doubt find its way back to pockets of the #GovernmentGangsters that cut him the check in the first place.
