Kristin Mayes father Barrie Mayes was a pharmacist at Yavapai Hospital in Prescott. There is a trail system named after him at Acker Park. He was a founding member of Sierra Club. Kris wrote a book about how she was a spin doctor for John McCain and George Bush. She has always been a republican but switched to democrat in 2019 because she doesn't like Trump.
