People were lied to by other people and organizations they fully trusted. People lean on their previously built-upon beliefs when new information reaffirms their cognitive biases. It's been happening since the beginning of civilization; when secretive groups of people took to subjugating their fellow man. It's sad, and it's sad to see how people are reacting to them.

>ego

Won't argue against you, there. But try to remember that it's a machine. People entered into the information age, had tons of biases confirmed, and were living under the assumption there were no deceptions at all in their world. None whatsoever. They wake up, get coffee, open Reddit, and get 85% of their reality confirmed with 10 million stranger-friends on that platform every day. So whatever is top/trending on a "democratic" platform where narratives can be voted into truth with the click of a thumbs up becomes the correct way of thinking about it.

So yes, there's ego, but that ego was built by way of intentional deception by those that knew what they were doing.

It all boils down to who controls the money and the markets. While the current phase of what's happening is a bit of a "moral" lesson, nothing will be fixed until the money is fixed.

That shit, right there, sometimes scares the fuck out of anon. Humans generally trust their pattern recognition devices because it's "gotten them this far". But are they really seeing patterns, sometimes, or are they creating them with how the brain (sometimes) fills in the gaps?
