New study revives old claims tracing the British monarch’s lineage back 43 generations to the founder of Islam

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II is the head of the Church of England, but she might also be able to claim a role in Islam after a recent study asserted she is a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad.
A March report by the Moroccan newspaper Al-Ousboue traced her lineage back 43 generations to the founder of Islam, sparking widespread interest across the Middle East.
“It builds a bridge between our two religions and kingdoms,” Abdelhamid Al-Aouni said, according to The Daily Mail.

The Spanish Inheritance question

The senior branch of the house of Hapsburg ruled over that dominion, while the junior branch was identified with Austria and the headship of the German Empire. Spain and the Empire had ceased to be united under one crown when Charles V abdicated in 1556. Now, for the past century, the Spanish crown had descended in direct male line, but outside that actual line the claim to succession passed through the daughters of the kings of Spain.

Mayor Eric Adams Vacationed In US Virgin Islands As His City Was Hit With ‘Historic’ Winter Blast

New York City Mayor Eric Adams spent last Thursday and Friday in the U.S. Virgin Islands while the city was hit by a historic winter storm.
Adams justified the trip by saying he had “365 days of working without a day off” and cited mental health concerns, according to the New York Post.
Adams became angry when reporters asked about his trip, the NY Post reported. His office previously issued a travel advisory Thursday into Friday for severe weather.
