The biggest issue isn't ignorance, it's trust.
To expand, it's unbelievably easy to spoof just about anything on the internet.
As a matter of fact, these past several years (for me at least) have been largely about trying to establish who understands that, and can actually be trusted. Can't say I'm pleased with the result, but I do feel that I've gained significant clarity in that area.
