Chief Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, a Lula supporter and brutal totalitarian, continues to crack down on dissenters, jailing opposition figures, rounding up journalists, and holding opposition protesters, including children in makeshift gulags.

According to reports, Biden personnel from the White House, Defense Department, State Department, and CIA all took part in threatening the Bolsonaro administration in rare, escalatory diplomatic meetings. Then, they took their false narratives to the corporate media.

Top officials from the White House, Defense Department, State Department, and even the CIA have held meetings and calls with Brazilian officials to try to head off any efforts by Bolsonaro to subvert the results of the country’s heated presidential elections.

The diplomatic surge comes as the right-wing populist Bolsonaro faces off against left-wing candidate and former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in a hotly contested runoff vote in what has proved to be one of the most divisive elections in the country’s history…

At Least 68 Reported Killed in Nepal Plane Crash

A plane crashed in Nepal Sunday morning — killing at least 68 people.

The New York Post reports:

The Yeti Airline plane was carrying 68 passengers and 4 crew members when it crashed near Pokhara International Airport, the Kathmandu Post reported, citing an airline spokesperson. Two infants and 10 foreign nations were also on board.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal called an emergency meeting of cabinet members after the crashed, and ordered security personnel to immediately assist with rescue efforts, the news outlet reported.

Dahal said the plane was flying from the capital, Kathmandu, to Pokhara in central Nepal when it went down.

A rescue team has been sent to the crash site via helicopter, the Kathmandu Post said.

Biden’s ATF Bans MILLIONS OF GUNS With New Rule And Gun Owners Could Face TEN YEARS IN PRISON For Refusing To Comply

The tyrannical Biden Regime remains determined not to let the U.S. Constitution stop its war on law-abiding gun owners. Not satisfied with last year’s gun control victory, thanks to Republican sell-outs, the Regime’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) unveiled a rule which will criminalize millions of law-abiding gun owners.

The Reload’s Stephen Gutowski reported that the agency plans to reclassify pistol braces, a highly popular gun accessory, in a way which would ban them unless registered with the ATF. Anyone who refuses to comply could face up to ten years in prison.

So a person who wants to keep a gun with a pistol brace will have to participate in a federal gun registry or go to jail. Is there any question the Regime would utilize this registry to harass these gun owners in several ways?

The ATF previously ruled such braces were completely legal. Yet the Regime’s ATF will simply dare the courts to stop their assault on Americans and the Constitution.

Millions of Americans face the threat of federal felony charges over guns they purchased legally thanks to a new rule released by the ATF.

The agency announced plans to publish the final version of their rule reclassifying pistol braces, a popular firearm accessory, on Friday. The rule, which President Joe Biden requested as part of his efforts to unilaterally reform gun laws, would effectively ban the use of braces unless registered with the ATF. Anyone who does not comply with the rule could be subject to upwards of ten years in federal prison despite the agency previously ruling the braces were legal multiple times over the past decade.

“While firearms equipped with ‘stabilizing braces’ or other rearward attachments may be submitted to ATF for a new classification determination, a majority of the existing firearms equipped with a ‘stabilizing brace’ are likely to be classified as ‘rifles’ because they are configured for shoulder fire based on the factors described in this rule,” the ATF said in the rule. “Because many of these firearms generally have a barrel of less than 16 inches, they are likely to be classified as short-barreled rifles subject to regulation and registration under the [National Firearms Act (NFA)] and [Gun Control Act].”

The agency says that nearly everyone with a pistol-brace-equipped gun is “violating the NFA by possessing an unregistered rifle with a barrel of less than 16 inches.”

State of emergency declared in Peru amid deadly protests

The measure was imposed amid the ongoing unrest over the ouster of former President Pedro Castillo

The Peruvian government has introduced a state of emergency in a number of provinces in a bid to tackle violent anti-government protests. The South American country has been gripped by unrest since early December 2022, when President Pedro Castillo was removed from office and arrested over accusations of corruption.

The former president’s supporters, who claim the ouster was a coup, have been involved in clashes with security forces ever since. Castillo has denied any wrongdoing, insisting that his removal was orchestrated by his political opponents.

A decree introducing the state of emergency was published in Peru’s official daily newspaper, Diario Oficial El Peruano, late on Sunday.

The decree took effect on January 15 and will last for thirty days. It covers three regions, three provinces, and one district, mostly in the south of the country. The capital city of Lima and surrounding areas are among them. Five major highways were also included in the measure.

Where the state of emergency is in effect, Peru’s National Police has been charged with maintaining order with the support of the military.

Under the decree, local residents are prohibited from gathering in groups, while security forces can detain them if they deem it necessary, and can also enter and search homes.

Moreover, a curfew has been imposed from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am for ten days in the southern department of Puno. The restrictions were imposed after violent clashes left 18 people dead in the region. Certain exceptions are envisaged for the purchase of food or to seek medical care, while workers in a number of critical professions are also allowed to move about freely.

On Friday, President Dina Boluarte apologized to the nation for the violence that has so far claimed 47 lives.

She insisted, however, that she will not resign, and claimed “foreign provocateurs and infiltrators” may have played a role in the deadly unrest.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee has introduced legislation that will charge white people with federal "hate crimes" for questioning immigration, or criticizing non-whites.

Texas Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee, who represents one of the most racially gerrymandered districts in the entire country, has introduced legislation to Congress that would end free speech for white people in the United States, creating a new type of speech-based federal “hate crime” that only white people can be charged with.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s “Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023” which, as the name suggests, would only be enforced against white people, makes it illegal for white people to question open-borders immigration, advocate for preserving America’s culture and traditional demographic make-up, or even criticize minorities.

Like in far-left European nations, that have turned their federal law enforcement apparatus against their own native-born citizens, under Jackson Lee’s legislation, merely posting online about the decline of American culture, at the hands of open borders immigration, could land a white person in federal prison.

“A person engages in a white supremacy [sic] inspired hate crime when white supremacy ideology has motivated the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of actions that constituted a crime or were undertaken in furtherance of activity that, if effectuated, would have constituted a crime,” Jackson Lee’s bill reads, laying the groundwork for her all-out attack on white American’s constitutionally-protected freedom of speech.

Great Reset: Individual CO2 Limits Needed to Fight Climate Change, Says German Scientist

An individual carbon dioxide limit should be applied to every person in order to establish a “planetary guardrail” in the effort to combat allegedly man-made climate change, a leading German scientist has argued.

Hans Joachim Schellnhuber from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) said this week that every person should have a limit of three tonnes of C02 emissions per year and those who exceed their limit should be forced to pay for the pleasure.

In comments reported by Taagesschau, Schellnhuber said that there were are two competing property rights issues at hand, namely the right to spend one’s money on high emissions activities and the rights of the rest of the population to “have an environment worth living [in]”.

In a carbon credit style scheme, those who emit over the three-tonne limit by the middle of the century would need to privately purchase credits from those who are under the limit, he suggested: “Every person gets three tons of CO2 per year, but if you need more, you just have to buy it.”

At present, according to the news outlet, the average German is far above Schellnhuber’s proposed limit, as ten tonnes of C02 emissions are produced by the average citizen. Citing the Paris World Inequality lab, there are some millionaires within the country that produce over 100 tonnes of CO2 per year, and some thousands of elites worldwide emit over 2,000 tonnes per year.

Aside from not spelling out how he expects people to drastically reduce their carbon emissions, the German scientist did not elaborate on how exactly this will be tracked and monitored.

Sky-High Hypocrites: Davos Elites Hit Turbulence over Love of Private Jets

The globalist elites and their private jets are now landing in Davos, Switzerland, for yet another World Economic Forum (WEF) built on a week of fine dining and billionaire back slapping in luxurious surrounds – with a few meetings in between.

As they do they’re drawing contempt for their hypocrisy as elsewhere mere mortals are hectored to stop their own use of regular commercial air travel in the name of saving the planet.

More than a thousand private jets delivered dignitaries to last year’s summit in the plush Swiss holiday resort, a Greenpeace study revealed on Friday, and the sheer volume of flights generated four times the carbon dioxide emissions such aircraft would create in an average week, according to the report.

Greenpeace released the analysis, conducted by Dutch consultancy CE Delft, ahead of this year’s round of moneyed self-congratulation which begins tomorrow.

“Europe is experiencing the warmest January days ever recorded and communities around the world are grappling with extreme weather events supercharged by the climate crisis,” Klara Maria Schenk, transport campaigner for Greenpeace in Europe, said in a statement.

“Meanwhile, the rich and powerful flock to Davos in ultra-polluting, socially inequitable private jets to discuss climate and inequality behind closed doors,” Schenk added, noting the WEF has long warned of impending doom because of the “world-wide disaster” of climate threats.

Alon Ushpiz, director general of the Foreign Ministry, announced on Sunday that he would be stepping down from his post.

“I will dedicate the coming weeks to a comprehensive and orderly handover, and to concluding a number of issues on the agenda,” Ushpiz wrote in a letter to Foreign Ministry staff.

Ushpiz will be handing his duties over to Ronen Levy, a veteran of the Shin Bet security service and the National Security Council, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced.

Levy, 48, who spend two decades in the Shin Bet dealing with the Gaza Strip, had his name and photograph released officially for the first time in Sunday’s announcement from Cohen’s office.

Levy rose through the ranks of the Shin Bet, working his way up from a field operative to head of the Gaza Strip area, before being taken into the National Security Council by his boss Meir Ben-Shabbat, a senior Shin Bet official in southern Israel who became Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s national security adviser in 2017.

Tracking CIA-Backed ‘Zero Units’ in Afghanistan

Deadly night raids. Faulty U.S. intelligence. A “classified” war loophole. Lynzy Billing has spent years investigating the civilian casualties of Afghanistan’s C.I.A.-backed Zero Units.

In 2019, reporter Lynzy Billing returned to Afghanistan to research the murders of her mother and sister nearly 30 years earlier. Instead, in the country’s remote reaches, she stumbled upon the C.I.A.-backed Zero Units, who conducted night raids — quick, brutal operations designed to have resounding psychological impacts while ostensibly removing high-priority enemy targets.

So, Billing attempted to catalog the scale of civilian deaths left behind by just one of four Zero Units, known as the 02, over a four year period. The resulting report represents an effort no one else has done or will ever be able to do again. Here is what she found:

At least 452 civilians were killed in 107 raids. This number is almost certainly an undercount. While some raids did result in the capture or death of known militants, others killed bystanders or appeared to target people for no clear reason.

A troubling number of raids appear to have relied on faulty intelligence by the C.I.A. and other U.S. intelligence-gathering services. Two Afghan Zero Unit soldiers described raids they were sent on in which they said their targets were chosen by the United States.

The former head of Afghanistan’s intelligence agency acknowledged that the units were getting it wrong at times and killing civilians. He oversaw the Zero Units during a crucial period and agreed that no one paid a consequence for those botched raids. He went on to describe an operation that went wrong: “I went to the family myself and said: ‘We are sorry. … We want to be different from the Taliban.’ And I mean we did, we wanted to be different from the Taliban.”

The Afghan soldiers weren’t alone on the raids; U.S. special operations forces soldiers working with the C.I.A. often joined them. The Afghan soldiers Billing spoke to said they were typically accompanied on raids by at least 10 U.S. special operations forces soldiers. “These deaths happened at our hands. I have participated in many raids,” one of the Afghans said, “and there have been hundreds of raids where someone is killed and they are not Taliban or ISIS, and where no militants are present at all.”

Military planners baked potential “collateral damage” into the pre-raid calculus — how many women/children/noncombatants were at risk if the raid went awry, according to one U.S. Army Ranger Billing spoke to. Those forecasts were often wildly off, he said, yet no one seemed to really care. He told Billing that night raids were a better option than airstrikes but acknowledged that the raids risked creating new insurgent recruits. “You go on night raids, make more enemies, then you gotta go on more night raids for the more enemies you now have to kill.”

Because the Zero Units operated under a CIA program, their actions were part of a “classified” war, with the lines of accountability so obscured that no one had to answer for operations that went wrong. And U.S. responsibility for the raids was quietly muddied by a legal loophole that allows the C.I.A. — and any U.S. soldiers lent to the agency for their operations — to act without the same level of oversight as the American military.

Congressional aides and former intelligence committee staffers said they don’t believe Congress was getting a complete picture of the C.I.A.’s overseas operations. Lawyers representing whistleblowers said there is ample motivation to downplay to Congress the number of civilians killed or injured in such operations. By the time reports get to congressional oversight committees, one lawyer said, they’re “undercounting deaths and overstating accuracy.”
