Anon saw it and it was spectacular. One conclusion that anon is modeling goes something like this. Perhaps the photo evidence of the breakup exists. But is not online because it would allow for computations confirming a separation burn event.

What anon saw was four distinct comet fragments with four distinct and pretty much separate tails. Maybe anon is thinking of wrong Comet? Maybe what I saw was not Comet West, but a different one?
