Ghislaine Maxwell says authorities 'allowed' paedophile Jeffrey Epstein to kill himself in prison – but offers no apology to his victims as she gives bombshell TV interview from behind bars

Maxwell touched on the circumstances of Epstein's death in a New York jail

She's also claimed to have 'no memory' of Andrew meeting assault accuser

Ghislaine Maxwell has claimed US prison officials 'allowed' her paedophile former boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein to die behind bars – but she offered no apology to his victims.

The billionaire was found dead in his cell at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019 while he was awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges. He had suffered a cardiac arrest, and a medical examiner ruled he had hanged himself.

Maxwell, 61, who was convicted of trafficking young women for Epstein, has previously claimed she believes the disgraced billionaire had been murdered in prison, according to her brother.

Speaking to Jeremy Kyle on his TalkTV programme, Maxwell was asked to address Epstein's victims. She said: 'I say that Epstein died and they should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities who allowed that to happen. And as I said I hope they have some closure by the judicial process that took place.'

Maxwell also used the interview to claim she has 'no memory' of Prince Andrew ever meeting his accuser Virginia Giuffre and that a picture of the pair together is a fake.

But Lisa Bloom, a lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein's victims, today called her comments 'disgusting' and said it 'really doesn't matter' what the former British socialite thought because she has never seen the original.

She insisted that Andrew 'had every right' to prove it was not real during the legal case against him over claims he had sex with Ms Giuffre after she was trafficked to London by Epstein.

The Duke of York has reached a settlement with his accuser while not accepting any culpability. He had always vigorously denied her claims.

The circumstances around Epstein's death have always been a matter of controversy, with conspiracy theorists suggesting he was murdered to stop him from providing more information to prosecutors.

His family attorneys also said that the marks on his neck looked as though he had been strangled and not hanged by a sheet.

Australian Jews call for Kanye West to be blocked from entering the country to visit his new 'wife's' family in Melbourne after his disgraceful anti-Semitic rants

Kanye West married Australian architect Bianca Censori in non-binding wedding

Disgraced rapper believed to be visiting her surprised family next week

But local Jewish community wants him banned from coming there

West over past four months spewed anti-Semitic conspiracies and hatred

Australian Jews have called for disgraced rapper Kanye West to be denied a visa over his hateful anti-Semitic rants.

The Holocaust-denying entertainer faced an exodus of sponsors and investors over the past four months after he began airing his extreme views.

West, 45, 'married' architect Bianca Censori, 27, originally from Melbourne, in a non-binding ceremony in Utah about two weeks ago.

He is believed to be planning a visit to Australia to meet his new bride's family next week, but some of the local Jewish community want him banned from arriving.

Dvir Abramovich, chairman of Jewish lobby group the Anti-Defamation Commission, on Monday called for Immigration Minister David Giles to refuse West entry.

The strongly worded statement referenced three of West's most outrageous statements and argued 'calling for violence and hate' must have consequences.

'Australia should not put out the welcome mat and provide a platform to a hatemonger who spews threats against the Jewish community and peddles conspiracy myths about Jewish power, greed and control,' he said.

'Kanye is a blatant, unvarnished anti-Semite, Nazi-lover, and Hitler worshipper who openly admires an evil tyrant responsible for the extermination of six million Jews, including 1.5 million children.'

'This kind of rhetoric is dangerous and has real-world consequences given the more than 30 million followers that this person has, and who may start believing that his demonisation of the Jewish community and that they must act.'

Nancy Mace Blames Lackluster GOP Midterm Performance on Pro-Life Policies

U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) blamed the overturning of Roe v. Wade for the Republican party’s lackluster midterm showing during a recent appearance on Meet the Press. “It’s the reason we didn’t get more of a majority. We could have had a two dozen seat majority, but we don’t. This was an issue top of mind for swing voters,” Mace told NBC’s Chuck Todd.

The South Carolina Republican went on to claim that the issue will continue to hurt the GOP in 2024. “When you’re looking ahead to ’24, going to the extremes and digging in there isn’t going to work for most people,” Mace said.

She went on to state that both sides of the aisle are responsible for division and gridlock on numerous issues beyond abortion. “When I look at every issue, not just on Roe v Wade, but every issue, we’re so divided,” she told Todd. “I sometimes joke that [Joe Manchin] is the most popular Republican in the Senate right now, but to hear him talk about these issues in a very refreshing, balanced way, is the way both sides of the aisle need to approach every issue.”

Mace added that she is still “pro-life” but also “willing to sit and talk about how do we balance the rights for women and the right to life.”

“Both sides are afraid of their primaries. That’s not the way we should be operating, but the vast majority vote out of legislative fear,” she went on to say,

Mace herself faced a stiff primary challenge after breaking with her base on numerous issues. Most notably, the South Carolina lawmaker voted to establish a Congressional committee to investigate the January 6 Capitol protests.

Mace pushed back on accusations of being a Republican in name only, or “RINO,” and sought former President Trump’s endorsement. She did not receive it, though Mace ultimately survived her primary challenge and was re-elected for another term in November.

During her appearance on Meet The Press, Todd asked if she if she fears future primary challenges if she continues to vote outside the preferences of the GOP electorate.

“I got primaried last time and the time before that. I expect it every time, being in a swing district,” she responded. “But I will tell you, even with the far right coming after me in the last primary, I won overwhelmingly, by nine points. When we had the general election, I flipped 40% of the Democrat precincts and outperformed the former president in my district as well. So I found a way to try to represent all the voices. I can’t represent one side or the other.”

Thousands of dead fish wash up on South Australian beach

Locals and tourists were horrified when they made the discovery on the shore of a popular tourist hotspot.

Thousands of dead fish have washed up on a popular tourist beach in South Australia.

The dead carp, which have been washing up since Thursday, are believed to have flushed out into Middleton Beach from the mouth of the Rivery Murray with rising floodwaters.

Tourists and locals described “hopeless” scenes as they headed down to the water’s edge and discovered the carp piled up.

“We’ve never seen anything like it,” a swimmer told 7NEWS.

“They look quite hopeless, which is quite sad,” a surfer said.

Another Israeli Exploit Developer Caught Selling Malware To Blacklisted Countries

Maybe it’s time for the Israeli government to put a moratorium on Mossad-based startups. Israeli intelligence services have been the petri dishes for a particular strain of techbro — ones who have the smarts to create zero-click exploits but none of the common sense needed to cull baddies from their customer lists.

The Israeli government is partly to blame. It worked closely with NSO Group (and presumably others in the same business) to broker deals with human rights abusers: diplomacy via malware sales.

Months of negative press got NSO blacklisted by the US government. It also got it investigated in its homeland, finally resulting in the Israeli government (reluctantly) limiting who the company could sell to.

NSO isn’t the only malware merchant with Israeli roots. Candiru — another recipient of US sanctions — calls Israel home. So does Cytrox, yet another exploit developer with ties to Israeli intelligence services. Cytrox was at the center of a recent domestic spying scandal in Greece, with its malware being used to target opposition leaders and journalists. This culminated in Greek police forces raiding Cytrox’s local office, presumably as part of the ongoing investigation.

Now there’s another Israeli spyware maker making the wrong kind of headlines, as Fanny Potkin and Poppy McPherson report for Reuters.

Israel’s Cognyte Software Ltd won a tender to sell intercept spyware to a Myanmar state-backed telecommunications firm a month before the Asian nation’s February 2021 military coup, according to documents reviewed by Reuters.

No matter who’s running the Myanmar government, they shouldn’t be trusted with powerful spyware. For most of the past 60 years, the country has been run by some form of military dictatorship. The 2021 coup simply reshuffled a bit of the military dictatorship organizational chart. Throughout this time period, residents (especially Muslim residents) have been on the receiving end of intense oppression. For Myanmar’s Muslims, oppression means death: ethic cleansing.

Given the fact that any malware sold to the Myanmar government was likely to be abused to target critics and political opponents, Cognyte never should have agreed to sell the government its products. That’s what it should have willingly decided to do because that’s just being responsible.

But there’s another reason Cognyte shouldn’t have done it: it had to violate the law to complete the sale.

The deal was made even though Israel has claimed it stopped defence technology transfers to Myanmar following a 2017 ruling by Israel’s Supreme Court, according to a legal complaint recently filed with Israel’s attorney general and disclosed on Sunday.

According to the documents seen by Reuters, the sale was finalized at the end of 2020, apparently with the assistance of regulator Myanmar Post and Telecommunications (MPT). Given its proximity to the beginning of the coup, it seems this was deliberately acquired for use by the military government, which decided to contest an election it lost in November 2020 by overthrowing the democratically elected government three months later.

The fact that this sale occurred after the government swears it no longer permitted sales to Myanmar presents two possibilities. Neither option is good.

Either the government never stopped handing out export licenses to tech companies hoping to sell to Myanmar’s government or Cognyte ignored the restriction and made the sale without the required export license. Given that the documents show Cognyte as the winning bidder, the company didn’t even bother to try to launder its illegal export through a middleman. Or maybe it was both: a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for malware sales to human right abusers.

Whatever the case, it’s another black eye for the Israeli government — one that has done little to prevent local companies from selling powerful tech to bad people. It’s also an indictment of its intelligence services, which seem capable of attracting extremely skilled people who somehow decide that the logical extension of the lessons they’ve learned securing their nation is abandoning any remaining morality or ethics once they hit the private sector.
