Anon got sent across the street to the neighbor's house to catch measles from the infected little fkers. German measles iirc.. anyway anon still got to watch Peter Pan (original) but no light any other time. Lots of chicken noodle soup (canned Campbell's) was involved and zero whoopings for a whole week. Anon had the Frenquent Flyer TV (whole nother story re Vegas and pawn shops) until it quit. That was the end of room TV.
Good times.
Next up: Mumps happened. Back across the street anon got sent…

Deworming parties too. Anon got given something and the only reason anon recalls is because anon pooped purple. That was unique and memorable. No idea what spurred that episode but if somebody got something everybody got treated. Guess what happened? Everybody was healthy and fine. Anon never asked the other kids if they too pooped purple, seemed an odd ask, what if they didn't?
Really really purple.
Anon got robbed! No lice party and no chickpox party either. MomAnon was laid out on the sofa with it and allowed anon to have a whole 16oz bottle of Pepsi, she was too sick to debate it and it was a summertime miracle. That woman could debate a picket fence and likely did..
She also wanted to share her "wealth" of sick but anon didn't catch it.
Margot Hemmingway had that too, fibers coming out of her skin. They played it down like she was nuts or something iirc. There's nothing on the net about it but anon saw her on video (TV?) and she was literally pulling fibers from her forearm and pointing to others, all different colors.
She offed herself with an intentional OD at age 42, sad thing. Sexually abused by her father in childhood, abused by the "system" her whole life.
Later: Joni Mitchell has it and has been treated much much better.

That's everything anon knew about Hemingways other than Grandpa gave anon a copy of Old Man and The Sea. What a slog that was to read and anon loved/loves to read.

Hope he does STL, enormous buildings built in months that are standing today- with around 840 total population. No construction photos exist, some pics of dudes in street clothes standing around in front of it but nobody building, no stages of construction with workers. None.

Anon was in a building there once. The choir room and everybody had to STFU and a pin was dropped to show off the acoustics, pretty impressive.
