Born 1968 (age 54–55)

Citizenship American

Occupation Journalist

James Gordon Meek (born 1968) is an American journalist who formerly worked for ABC News.[1]

He was a writer and narrator for the 2021 Emmy-nominated documentary film 3212 Un-redacted[2] which detailed the Tongo Tongo ambush, an ambush of Green Berets in Niger in 2017.[3]

In 2006, reporting for the Daily News, Meek was the first journalist to report on that year's Al Qaeda-organized Hudson River bomb plot. From 2011, Meek was a senior counterterrorism advisor and investigator for the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security, where he investigated, among other terrorist acts, the Boston Marathon bombing.[4][5]Simon & Schuster has stated that Meek spent five years investigating the death of Dave Sharrett II.[5]

Meek resigned from his position as an investigative producer for ABC News on April 27, 2022, the same day that the FBI raided his home. While the reason for the raid was not publicized, it was revealed that the raid was not related to his work as a journalist.[6] As a result of the search, he was arrested on January 31, 2023, for "transportation of images of child sexual abuse".[7][8][9]

On 16 January 2008, United States Army Private First Class Dave Sharrett II was killed during a battle with insurgents near Balad, Iraq during the Iraq War. Subsequent investigation determined Sharrett was shot a single time by his commanding officer, then-Lieutenant Timothy Hanson.

David H. Sharrett II

David H. Sharrett II was born in Woodstock, Virginia in June 1980, to David Sharrett Sr., a local schoolteacher, and Kimberly Drummond. David Sharrett II's parents divorced early in his life, and he grew up around Oakton, Virginia, where he attended Oakton Elementary School, then Cooper Intermediate School, and Oakton High School. In high school, he played defensive end on the school's football team before graduating high school in 1999.

After graduation, Sharrett considered college but instead opted to work several odd jobs, telling his family he was not ready to continue his education. He worked as a bartender and a doorman in several local restaurants and bars until around 2005. During this time, he met Heather Shell, whom he would later marry. He also attended some classes at Northern Virginia Community College, where he studied history and literature.

Sharrett had considered joining the US military several times, twice beginning the process and backing out. However, Sharrett eventually enlisted in September 2006, hoping to serve a three-year Army tour and then return home to complete a degree and become a history teacher. He married Shell in January 2007, after returning from basic combat training, and the couple moved to Fort Campbell, Kentucky where Sharrett was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.[6] His awards included the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and an Expert Marksman Badge with the M4 Carbine. He had volunteered for air assault school and airborne school as well.

Sharret's unit was deployed to northern Iraq in September 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Initially, the unit was based near the border with Iran to interdict weapons smuggling across the border. Later it was based at Forward Operating Base Paliwoda near Balad. Sharrett and his father stayed in constant contact throughout the deployment. In the days leading up to his death, Sharrett had indicated displeasure with the post, reportedly telling his father during a conversation, "We're doing too much stupid stuff. I want out of the infantry."

Incident

On 16 January 2008, Sharrett was part of an 8-man patrol participating in Operation Hood Harvest near the village of Bichigan, north of Baghdad. The allied coalition had discovered that the insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq was using the region to equip suicide bombers. Sharrett's seven-man squad, led by Staff Sergeant Chris McGraw, was joined by First Lieutenant Timothy Hanson, the company executive officer, who was to direct communications with the squad's air support. Designated "Team 6," this team was to patrol in two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for any insurgents active past the local curfew.

Shortly before 05:00 local time, overhead observers spotted six men running single file through a palm grove outside of town. The six men, apparently unarmed, sprinted across a field before taking cover in an oval-shaped thicket of branches and vines, as observed by nearby helicopters and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. At 05:07, Team 6 disembarked from its helicopters, equipped with night vision devices, as there was no ambient light and conditions were reportedly pitch black. They were also equipped with infrared flashing lights visible only though night vision, which serve as IFF tags. However, neither McGraw nor Hanson ordered the team to turn the IFF tags on, and five of the eight did not do so. In the meantime, the six insurgents apparently armed themselves with AK-47s and grenades which had been concealed in a hidden cache in the thicket, lying down and keeping still. At 05:15, Team 6 approached the brush and surrounded it, with four men on each side, and called into the brush for the insurgents to come out.[6]

One minute later, an insurgent shouted "Allahu Akbar!" from inside the brush before the concealed insurgents opened fire on the surrounding Team 6. Both McGraw and Specialist Raphael Collins, positioned next to Sharrett, were immediately wounded in the shoulder. On the west side of the brush, corporal John Sigsbee was shot and mortally wounded, while private first class Danny Kimme was shot in the head and killed as he attempted to get into a prone position. At this time, Hanson radioed the helicopter that they were under attack as Sharrett sprinted to the west side of the thicket and took up a position next to Sigsbee, remaining quiet and still approximately 4 feet (1.2 m) from the brush as the insurgents continued to fire their weapons out of it. At 05:20, Sharrett stood up and ran toward Hanson's position and away from the brush, firing over his shoulder and apparently striking an insurgent. At this point, he and Hanson were concealed from the view of overhead helicopters by trees, but when they reemerged 5 seconds later Sharrett was seen writhing on the ground and Hanson running away from the position.[6]

At 06:03, another US force of snipers and infantry called Team 4 arrived, encountering the remains of Team 6. Hanson stated he did not know where Sharrett, Sigsbee, or Kimme were. Team 4 then lined up for a methodical assault on the brush, discovering Sigsbee and Kimme's bodies in the process. One minute later, a UH-60 landed north of the thicket, and the wounded McGraw and Collins climbed onboard along with the unwounded Hanson. The helicopter then flew to a combat support hospital in Balad, where McGraw and Collins disembarked. Hanson refused to disembark, and instead rode in the helicopter back to FOB Paliwoda where he returned to his quarters without briefing commanders.[6]

In the meantime, Team 4 called in close air support and overhead Black Hawk helicopters attacked the brush with machine guns until at 06:10 it was discovered that the six insurgents were dead. The team then began searching for Sharrett but was unable to find him. At 06:35, the team shot a flare airborne and discovered Sharrett in a brush, with a faint pulse. The team members attempted CPR and eventually called in a Medevac. Sharrett was evacuated to FOB Paliwoda at 06:50 and pronounced dead at 07:50.

Aftermath

Sharrett was the 3,595th servicemember of the United States to be killed in the Iraq War.[8] Sharrett was buried in Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.[10] On 23 April 2008, the United States House of Representatives passed a resolution naming the post office in Oakton the "Private First Class David H. Sharrett II Post Office Building." Congressman Tom Davis of Virginia introduced the measure.[11] In an unusual move, US President Barack Obama visited Sharrett's grave site on Veterans Day 2009 during a tour of the cemetery, meeting Sharrett family friend and investigative journalist James Gordon Meek on this visit.[10]

Initial reports

On 19 January 2008, the survivors in Team 6 were ordered to write reports detailing the incident. In his statement, Hanson said he hit the ground as the shooting started and fired six to 10 shots at the thicket, and then stated he saw Sharrett and Sigsbee "lying face down no more than 10 feet from the enemy position." Hanson stated he heard one of the soldiers state they were hit, but was unable to reach them because of insurgent fire, and so he broke contact and moved away. Hanson did not mention firing his weapon after the initial attack, and provided detailed accounts of the locations of the squad, contradicting statements the Team 4 troops made indicating Hanson had been unable to provide their location. In a second report on 25 January, Hanson gave more detail on the incident but did not mention shooting anyone. In subsequent reports, Hanson repeatedly denied shooting or identifying anyone.[6]

In the meantime, the US military reported on 18 January that Sharrett, Sigsbee, and Kimme were killed in a grenade attack, withholding specifics of the incident.

''Army dismisses officer who killed soldier in Iraq friendly-fire incident''

The officer who shot and killed Pfc. David H. Sharrett II of Oakton in a friendly-fire incident in Iraq in 2008 should be terminated from the Army and stripped of a combat badge he received for a battle he fled, leaving the mortally wounded Sharrett and four other soldiers behind, military officials have ruled.

The move was revealed on the eve of what would have been Sharrett’s 32nd birthday and was the result of four years of investigating and agitating by his father, David Sharrett Sr., a retired English teacher at Langley and Chantilly high schools in Fairfax County.

At least four previous reviews by the Army had resulted in little more than reprimands for the officer, Capt. Timothy R. Hanson, now 33, was promoted from lieutenant a year after the incident, and had been allowed to transfer from active duty to a full-time Army Reserve job in his home state of Wisconsin.

“This is a vindication of our efforts to discover what happened and what did not happen,” the senior Sharrett said Monday. “This whole thing was about Dave, about giving him a voice. He acted honorably on the battlefield. He did everything he was supposed to do. And the ones who knew about this covered it up, acted cowardly.”

Hanson claimed in an Army probe last year that he didn’t know he had shot Sharrett, even as the investigating general repeatedly showed him an overhead video of the two soldiers within feet of each other. Hanson said he needed to leave the battlefield to assist two wounded men and brief his commanders. The wounded men told the general that Hanson did not assist them, and Hanson apparently did not brief commanders or return to his unit, which remained on its mission for two additional days.

Hanson said earlier this year that he did not want to discuss the incident, but that he was sorry and wanted to apologize to the Sharrett family. He did not respond to requests for comment in recent days.

How many times can they fill me with lies and I listen again?

Twisting the truth and they're playin' around with my head ok

The things they will do and the things they will say

But they don't really understand

Tears fill my eyes when I hear all the cries for the reason today

More Than 20,000 Military Members Became Sterile After COVID Vaccination

americanlibertyreportnews.com/articles/more-than-20000-military-members-became-sterile-after-covid-vaccination

The COVID data that I’ve read through and analyzed this week is so shocking that I had to check my math twice. I must have made a mistake, I thought. Out of the 1,195,000 active duty military members in the USA and the 778,000 reserve troops, 863,013 developed nervous system diseases in the six-month period between August of 2021 and this past January. That’s 43% of the troops.

That’s according to data from an attorney named Thomas Renz, who just presented the military vaccine data to a US Senate committee. Renz has also put the US government on notice with a warning: All COVID vaccine mandates from the US government must end immediately.

Renz presented the data to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) this past week. He’s the attorney representing 30 US Navy sailors in Florida, who are suing the lawless Biden regime over the vaccine mandates. A few days ago, I wrote about one of Renz’s whistleblowers who is a US Army flight surgeon, Dr. Theresa Long. Dr. Long broke down and cried on the stand last week as she testified about how thousands of her fellow soldiers have been permanently harmed by the COVID vaccines.

Renz also sent the same document – roughly 200 pages – to every elected Member of Congress, all 50 state governors, and all fifty state Attorneys General. There is no longer any excuse. Almost every high-level elected official now has a copy of the data that Renz pulled from the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED). They all know that the COVID vaccines are doing permanent damage to people and shaving decades off their lives.

DMED is one of the most highly respected epidemiology databases in the world. The Army has a whole division that monitors and maintains the database. It’s a far more accurate database than the CDC’s VAERS system, which supposedly under-reports vaccine injuries by about 90%.

From 2016 to 2020, the five-year average for military members developing nervous system diseases was about 82,000 per year. Between this past August and January, right when Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for the troops went into effect, that number jumped by 1,048% to 863,013.

“Nervous system diseases” is a blanket term, but some of the conditions that this includes are extremely serious, like epilepsy. If you start having seizures, your military career is over, no matter which branch of the service you’re in. People with epilepsy aren’t even allowed to join the military.

Those aren’t the only shocking data points from the DMED information. During that same time period of August 2021 through January 2022, the following spikes in serious illnesses and diseases occurred in the US military:

Cases of testicular cancer went up 369% (3,537 cases). Breast cancers went up 536% (4,357 cases). Stomach cancers were up 624% (4,060 cases) and thyroid cancers were up 474% (1,950 cases). Neuroendocrine cancers, ovarian cancers, and esophageal cancers were all up significantly as well.

22,620 servicemembers developed thyroid dysfunction after getting vaccinated, a 303% increase over the five-year average. 2,750 servicemembers developed multiple sclerosis, a 680% increase.

53,846 servicemembers were diagnosed with hypertension after being vaccinated. The five-year average prior to Joe Biden’s illegal, conscience-violating vaccine mandate was 2,360 cases of hypertension each year. Hypertension cases jumped by 2,281% after Biden’s mandate.

307 servicemembers developed myocarditis, 850 developed pericarditis, 3,489 had pulmonary embolisms, and 3,136 had cerebral infarctions. Their military careers are over. The babies of 18,951 pregnant service members developed congenital malformations in the womb after the mothers were vaccinated.

The saddest data point revealed by the DMED data is the number of service members who were sexually sterilized by the COVID shots. 11,748 women and 8,365 men became sterile after Joe Biden forced them to take these experimental shots. That’s 20,113 people who volunteered to serve their country, who will never be able to have children now. Another 4,086 female servicemembers now have ovarian dysfunction, so they also may or may not be able to have children.

If tens of thousands of service members have sustained these injuries from the vaccines, how many millions of Americans in the general population must be suffering right now? This human experimentation program has been catastrophic, and it needs to end immediately.
