I want to go to Naples and Salerno later in the year . . . for similar events.
Alas!
Another aniversary this year, which I discovered while . . . .
doing research
100 years ago this year
from Wikipedia article on Turkey:
"The Treaty of Lausanne of 24 July 1923, which superseded the Treaty of Sรจvres,[134][135] led to the international recognition of the sovereignty of the newly formed "Republic of Turkey" as the successor state of the Ottoman Empire, and the republic was officially proclaimed on 29 October 1923 in Ankara, the country's new capital.[137]"
etc
I'm thinking sky-high luxury dining!
a giant 'upper hallway' for the whole world.
and you just grap a thether and attach it to your skilift chair and it pulls you all the way up to the heavenly view and you get to eat endives and a selection of luxurious carrots and celeries that you pick from a garden part all the way to the edge, like in a minecraft world . . .
maybe the explosion was across state lines?
Maybe the balloon payload is a RockStar lounge kind of thing, like they have on luxurious high-end ocean liners, but it's for the sky.
another point:
this balloon thing will prompt
Congress to ask the question
"Do we have a ballooning budget?"
meaning: is there a budget for ballooning?
but yes, too, we have a
ballooning budget and ballooning expenditures and ballooning inflation . . .
