Example - the American deer pandemic.
The SHEEP metaphor in a broader sense is about the domestication of animals making them weak and defenseless to predators.
In modern humans' case, the domestication is in the mind, especially the part that believes us to be free because we can go where we wish and do what we want and buy til our heart's content.
So perhaps the remedy is not becoming the wolf, but becoming less "domesticated" like the wolf is.
And don't forget, not too many wolves are still in existence, especially in this country.
Personally think wild sheep are rather bad-ass.
I wouldn't mess with one, that's for sure.
