This book begins with a rant on a particular administration which was very difficult to protect and was a harbinger of the problems resulting in a serious morale problem. It then segues into a history of the service and the lousy follow up after each assassination or attempt. Next under fire is the ongoing departmental administration issue referred to as Plantation Mentality/secret service culture which includes factors such as no real fiscal responsibility, and the preferences for coverup over employee accountability. Employee job satisfaction which began as pride of service rendered but became buried under management misconduct and poor accountability and seriously insufficient staffing as well as the problems directly related to far too much mandatory overtime resulted in high rates of suicide, divorce, and the problems inherent in testosterone poisoning. Because there is no real fiscal responsibility, there is excessive overtime and the director just keeps demanding more funds rather than improving departmental performance. I was appalled to read of how few hours of training and range time requirements which are lower than that for Concealed Carry citizenry. Now I understand why local law enforcement disdains this group which has no ability or authority to even issue a traffic ticket!

So why did I begin with a rant about taxpayer dollars? It seems that in interest of secrecy of internal misconduct, untold employees are pensioned off with full benefits ad infinitum instead of being prosecuted as a civilian would be. The issue of continued secret service protection ad infinitum for past presidents and their families instead of allowing the protectee to contribute to the cost of a cleared private sector provider is another way that the taxpayers are being fleeced.

Is this book factual? The evidence is there, and checking out the references cited was even more appalling. Is it well written? Tough call, the grouping of ideas seems a bit odd, but on the whole it does reflect a very unpleasant reality.

The final segment is focused on the need to scrap the current business model and replace it with one that is more honest and fiscally responsible which will please taxpayers and return dignity to the women and men whose purpose it is to protect the POTUS.

Talks over detention of immigrant families abandoned

WASHINGTON

Secret talks over the fate of the Obama administration’s family detention program have broken down, meaning a federal judge will rule on when and how migrant mothers and children can be locked up during asylum and other court proceedings.

Department of Justice officials and lawyers for the mothers have been locked in high level talks for nearly two months, trying to negotiate a new agreement after U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee of the Central District of California found in a draft ruling that locking up mothers and children in secure facilities violated a 1997 agreement on detaining migrant children.

Negotiations were extended three times before being abandoned. The exact reason for the breakdown is unclear, but the two sides have struggled to agree on conditions under which mothers and children can be held.

The immigration lawyers have sought to severely restrict when mothers and children can be detained, but federal officials have argued that they need more flexibility to respond to unexpected migration surges like last year’s wave of migrants from Central America.

“At this stage the parties are unable to reach an agreement that would resolve the currently pending motions,” the two sides stated in a joint motion. “The parties agree that at this stage, further discussion would not be fruitful.”

The spotlight now turns to Judge Gee who, based on her draft ruling, is expected to rule favorably for the immigration lawyers. In her April 24 draft ruling, Gee dismissed federal officials’ “rosy account of the conditions” at the federal centers and said children and mothers should not, for example, be held in a concrete-block facility built to house adult prisoners.

“It is astonishing that [federal officials] have enacted a policy requiring such expensive infrastructure without more evidence to support that it would be compliant with the agreement that has been in effect for nearly 20 years or effective at achieving what defendants hoped it would accomplish,” she wrote in the draft ruling.

But that was in April. The administration has since taken several steps to curtail the program as its faced intense media and political scrutiny. In her draft ruling, Gee also stated that federal officials can use the residential centers as “temporary facilities” depending on a family’s situation.

Last week, U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials began releasing hundreds of detained mothers and children from the nation’s family detention centers as part of a promise to end long-term detention of migrant families.

My only disappointment is that GEOTUS has not done enough to honor Veterans. While the reforms to the VA are overdue and necessary, very few Veterans overall use the VA system.

I would have been much, much more impressed if from Day One he had announced he was committed to "full, 100% employment" of any disabled combat Veteran who faces employment obstacles due to serving our country, including time away from the workforce to attend to medical issues. There is legislation to protect existing employed Veterans, but a gap which creates Veterans from gaining employment. Too many federal agencies continue to promote from within and keep the swamp creatures fat and happy, rather than hire new blood, with new talents, experience and energy and in keeping what many people feel was promised by GEOTUS on the campaign trail.

As for the swamp, I hope that you don't pull back and let the minor players walk. Like many, I have lost all faith in our institutions, including our military.

In one small example of a swamp creature that lives, a reserve Marine officer made numerous false allegations of racism, etc to detract from their underperformance while at a highly competitive school. These allegations were taken very seriously by the Obama regime and investigated with a full African-American team, who found NO racism in the administrative actions taken against this reserve Marine officer. This officer then refused to follow command directives and was removed from the Marine Corps with a highly unusual "triple signer" adverse fit rep, signed off by a three star General. There were also numerous pending and easily proven fraud investigations open against this officer.

Fast forward to the new, swamp draining Pentagon? This same officer went on to have the fraud investigations mysteriously disappeared, got a federal sinecure as a social security administrative "judge" stating that it was a "non-fireable" position, and now … has just reappeared in another sinecure SES position working for the Office of the Secretary of Defense as an "associate deputy justice" when this individual, to the best of knowledge, has never successfully passed a bar exam?

How does a politically connected swamp creature in GEOTUS military get booted from the USMC with a HIGHLY UNUSUAL triple signer adverse fitrep and magically reappear in a cozy, high trust, high income "secure" position inside that same DOD?

And you wonder why people are cynical that the swamp draining will actually take place.

I've been watching reruns of a TV Series called Travelers. It is about people from the far future, after the oceans have boiled away, living in underground shelters built in high mountain valleys. They have developed a time travel technology using Quantum Computing that can transmit a conciousness into the past. They take over bodies of people who are about to die, a few moments before their death. The traveler then avoids the death event, and does missions which change the timeline to prevent the disastrous future from unfolding. Near the end of Season 2 there is an Episode entitled "Simon" that has this drawing made by a Traveller whose host body has psychotic issues. It shows a dining hall in a shelter of the future.

Later in the same episode, Traveller 001 bribes a hospital administrator by giving an envelope of cash as a donation to cover the costs of allowing him to work on mental patients there. She says that his charity is generous to which he replies Charity is a gift you give yourself.

That picture looks a lot like one of Ray Chandlers photos. Was this TV series some kind of predictive programming? And we know from the Dodd Report to the Reece Committee on Private Foundations, that very wealthy people are using private charities to hide money, avoid taxes, bypass trade sanctions and launder money in general. Thus people like the Clintons leverage the Clinton Foundation primarily to give a gift to themselves, not to further any charitable causes. Most private foundations are broadly similar in this unethical behavior. Charles Ortel has documented the Clinton activities in this.

Thanks to VSGPDJT for stepping up to the plate for all of us and doing what he is doing to "drain the swamp". We are all here trying to do our bit, because we want a better world and freedom for our children and grandchildren. I would like them to enjoy and know the blessings of freedom, liberty and privacy that I grew up with, and which are no longer present in today's pervasive surveillance/corrupt state.

My only disappointment is that GEOTUS has not done enough to honor Veterans. While the reforms to the VA are overdue and necessary, very few Veterans overall use the VA system.

I would have been much, much more impressed if from Day One he had announced he was committed to "full, 100% employment" of any disabled combat Veteran who faces employment obstacles due to serving our country, including time away from the workforce to attend to medical issues. There is legislation to protect existing employed Veterans, but a gap which creates Veterans from gaining employment. Too many federal agencies continue to promote from within and keep the swamp creatures fat and happy, rather than hire new blood, with new talents, experience and energy and in keeping what many people feel was promised by GEOTUS on the campaign trail.

As for the swamp, I hope that you don't pull back and let the minor players walk. Like many, I have lost all faith in our institutions, including our military.

In one small example of a swamp creature that lives, a reserve Marine officer made numerous false allegations of racism, etc to detract from their underperformance while at a highly competitive school. These allegations were taken very seriously by the Obama regime and investigated with a full African-American team, who found NO racism in the administrative actions taken against this reserve Marine officer. This officer then refused to follow command directives and was removed from the Marine Corps with a highly unusual "triple signer" adverse fit rep, signed off by a three star General. There were also numerous pending and easily proven fraud investigations open against this officer.

Fast forward to the new, swamp draining Pentagon? This same officer went on to have the fraud investigations mysteriously disappeared, got a federal sinecure as a social security administrative "judge" stating that it was a "non-fireable" position, and now ... has just reappeared in another sinecure SES position working for the Office of the Secretary of Defense as an "associate deputy justice" when this individual, to the best of knowledge, has never successfully passed a bar exam?

How does a politically connected swamp creature in GEOTUS military get booted from the USMC with a HIGHLY UNUSUAL triple signer adverse fitrep and magically reappear in a cozy, high trust, high income "secure" position inside that same DOD?

And you wonder why people are cynical that the swamp draining will actually take place.

Oh .. and the Commanding Officer that had the balls and courage to confront this officer and survived an intensive "racism" multiple investigation? Yeah, he has been unemployed since that incident and blackballed from even applying for work at DIA. "Not eligible for employment". THAT is the fruit of "doing the right thing". THAT is exactly why the swamp wins. He is not bitter, he would do it again, because the alternative would be to commit fraud and submit to blackmail, coercion, but the price many many people paid while resisting the Obama regime and honoring their oaths and sworn duty was very high. This is just one small snapshot and example of how pervasive the corruption is.
