Nope. In fact it’s caused us to garden harder (Kek) and buy food locally and from the Amish.
Anons who are thinking of starting hens for eggs (or meat),get your chicks now
You can build a coop later. The chicks need to be inside for 6 weeks to grow and feather up. It’s getting increasingly difficult to buy chicks and will get only more so as it warms up.
If you can’t or don’t want hens, secure a backyard farmer to buy eggs from and do it today or tomorrow. Build those relationships now.
Yup! Very easy if you have the mind to do it. They eat virtually anything too. Scraps can often be obtained from restaurants or schools to supplement their feed and lower costs if that’s needed.
Don’t let your sister’s attitude taint all women.
Wow, 6 degrees. She must be pretty smart! Kek.
>And don't answer agriculture surveys.
This. Go stealth!! Take it from someone who had someone from the city once come out to check something to see if it was up to code, and happened to snoop around and saw the coop and tattled. Longer story but short answer, be as stealthy as possible and bribe your neighbors with eggs.
No roosters needed, btw.
Me too anon!
