Peraton seems to be the company currently in charge of the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine TX.
Looking at Peraton leads to a lot of interesting things.

Quote: ' The Northrop IT and mission support business is not just present in national security programs, but also with civilian and health agencies. Given the ongoing pandemic, Shea said Peraton views national security as “broadened to include all of those things.”'
It seems like the "borg" is forming behind all the agency fronts, but that is just my take on the situation.
Anon didn't see the reporter make the "mistake". More spoopy things: Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, TX which was formerly the National Scientific Balloon Facility until 2006. Got a name change due to being the place where debris was gathered when the Space Shuttle Columbia blew up over Palestine TX in 2003.
Too, too many odd coinkydinks around all of this.
