This is a thought I was having earlier.

As "critical infrastructure" I figured this section of line must be special. Being shutdown will raise fuel prices to help the push for EV'sโ€ฆ"to save the climate"โ€ฆ

Create a natural disaster to "save us" from natural disasters.

Can people stop trying to save us all the time?

You're saving us to death. Please stop.

If intentional, perhaps they were trying to make it a little further into town next to be near one of the many factories and then get a two-for-one disaster?

There's a big copper foundry just a few thousand feet on down the line.

Another train derailment.

This is starting to seems pretty suspicious.

Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, and now Mighigan?

Cutting important routes to drive up prices?

Insurance pays to rebuild the shitty tracks that should've been condemned.

Energy routes get crushed pushing people to EVs.

Doctors cash in from the health concerns.

National Guard probably got a nice chunk of change to manage the incident, with plenty left over for some new furniture for the Commander.

Oh, and Interest rates are up, so if you're gonna switch to a pricey new EV, you're gonna pay a lot more. But, the fuel savings will be worth it, right?

Yep, they set all this up and fucked ya.

You're on to something.

Apparently the US averages 3 derailments per day. The media machine has just decided to start hyping them up as "a conspiracy" this week.

The AVERAGE rate of train derailments PER DAY OVER the last four years is THREE.

THREE DERAILMENTS PER DAY IS NORMAL.

Stop freaking out.

My Grandpa retired from Frisco and taught me about train wheel-bearing "hot-boxes" (among much other seemingly useless rail knowledge) and how to signal the caboose back in the 1970s.

This isn't a new problem.
