>German is superior to English

The English language suffers from one unsurmountable problem - it is not a pure language!

english, as I tell my ESL students, is a mongrel created, at least in part, of having three national languages at the same time for almost 500 hundred years - the language of the people - old English, which in itself is a mongrel mix of Scandinavian, Germanic and Latin - Latin, the language of the church and thus science - and French, the language of the court.

>Such a shame the UN speaks English.

In my case, I am not too upset that English has become the Lingua Franca.

โ€œEnglish is the largest of human tongues, with several times the vocabulary of the second largest language this alone made it inevitable that English would eventually become, as it did, the lingua franca of this planet, for it is thereby the richest and most flexible despite its barbaric accretions . . . or, I should say, because of its barbaric accretions. English swallows up anything that comes its way, makes English out of it.โ€

>that is just as powerful than

As powerful as, for comparatives.

>I find that you have to use many more words to get the same point across though.

Anon does not speak German, but is fluent in a Latin language. When translating from this Latin language to English, invariably, the text in English is 25% shorter than Latin base language, FWIW.

>Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert A Heinlein

There are some incredible quotes from this book, a book which was one of anon's favourites back in the day before anon realised it was pushing a Cabal agenda and Heinlein must surely have been been bought and paid for by the Cabal.

Though anon has a love for languages, especially etymology, programming language has never grabbed this anon by the almonds nor feels, however anon does understand the incredibly tight knit connection between the langage of words and the language of numbers.

Coding would send this anon comatose.

>In school I was always a language guy and never a math wiz, but IMO learning to code relies more on language skills. The math only really comes in certain applications.

Anon was one of the few that found ease with both mathematic and alphabetic languages, however it is not the facility or not that is anon's issue, it is the interest level!

Anon is no boomer, but not far off and simply found that programming language did not interest me.

In another life, with different stimuli, who knows, maybe things would have been different.

That being said, as previously mentioned, anon did perceive the similarity of the two languages. There are "grammatical rules" and, therefore, syntactical rules, governing them both.

>You might be suprised how easy you find it.

Though you are a 50 post poster, anon will not hold that against you this time as anon found it interesting talking about the various language types and was able to converse in a manner anon is unaccustomed to doing in the meat world. and for this I thank you.

Ever hear of an eye for an eye?

Even the Buddhists practice this, albeit in a hands off approach.

I buried him up to his neck in a cage, biut I didn't kill him - my hands are clean. He died due to starvation, wildlfe predation, dehydration etc, etc, therefore it wasn't me.
