>We’re are being hit from 1,000 different directions
From all quadrants anon.
I just recently retired from 35 years in the cockpit. I've flown in every imaginable weather there is and occasionally on a real bad weather day thunderstorms would pop up out of nowhere, embedded, fast moving shit that would form a line and unfortunately, you would get caught between a rock and hard place and have to fly through one of those fucking things. Once in, there was no turning around. Pull the power back, keep the wings level, inform ATC you can't maintain altitude and to give you a block etc……….hopefully you had time to warn the cabin crew so everyone could get buckled in. The only course of action was to fly straight through it getting the absolute shit kicked out of you. Happened rarely but occassionally the right circumstances just formed and that was it.
I have the very uneasy feeling that this is exactly what is happening to this country. There is no turning around. And the worse hasn't happened yet. I guess I was lucky in some way or the good Lord was watching over me. I believe the latter. History is littered with airline crashes that happened in very bad weather, level 6 thunderstorms, micro-burst etc…….It feels like we (USA) are just entering the storm and the worse is yet to come.
Nothing I can do about it on a macro level. Reminds me of that meme that get's posted here every now and then about the Man who just wanted to be left alone. Perhaps I don't live to see it go sideways like this but………………buckle up anons. Get's way worse from here I'm afraid.
