The code is literally public - open source.
That is how you get things like dogecoin that were created as a joke.
I am not telling you to trust it or invest in it. There are many reasons it could fail. However, I will tell you that you clearly do not know what you are talking about with regard to it.
Like I said, gold/silver and bullion are tried and true. If you don't have confidence in crypto, don't use it. There are cryptos I don't use (etherium) because I believe the model is bad and/or poorly understood by investors. Bitcoin is one I have limited my participation in because I prefer the philosophy of Monero and its implementation.
I also have physical silver stacked. As well as seeds, equipment, books, etc. Monetary value is only one form of value.
