HEARTBREAK RIDGE (1986) is one fo the few films depicting the 1983 U.S. invasion of Grenada. After being rejected by the Army, the script was rewritten to feature a platoon of Marines. The USMC hoped it would be their TOP GUN but were unhappy with the final cut.
