When learning to bake, watched a very good baker talk with anons. When they complained, he responded reasonably. If they were reasonable, he followed suit. Learned a lot from that. Whatever he did, it was not personal. Was always about the work.
Board is different at different times. You use avatars and a name, anons here now do not like. Not my fight, but will be yours if you push it.
Re cruelty - what matters is behavior. Developing the ability to remain reasonably neutral. Not very interesting, at least not in the short run. But an asset for a baker, because it supports the board.
