I want to bring something positive to the board tonight. I went to visit a friend of nearly 40 yrs today at the University of Chicago Medical Center who is in the ICU waiting on a heart transplant. He has been there for a couple of weeks and this was my second visit to see him and try to uplift his spirits. When I arrived I walked in and he was having his vitals checked and then the nurse left. He then smiled and said that his heart came in and his surgery will happen either tonight or tomorrow morning. He told me that he had been trying to stay strong for his family and had been worried mostly about them this whole time but this morning he decided to pray to God and ask that he save him and help him to receive a new heart. Within the next 10 to 15 minutes he said a doctor walked in a told him a heart became available. We bith believe God answered his prayer almost immediately. True story. I feel like I witnessed or was part of a miracle just being there with him today. Never forget the power of prayer anons. I won't. Godspeed to you all!
