Shasta County Board of Supervisors votes in favor of hand voting ballots
SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - The Shasta County Board of Supervisors Tuesday voted 3-2 in favor of hand voting ballots.
During the meeting, supervisors discussed multiple options that were on the table to replace the Dominion Voting Systems voting machines after the Board of Supervisors voted to cancel the contract with Dominion in Janurary.
The options were as follows:
Negotiate a plan with ES&S
Negotiate a plan with Hart
Rescind the earlier decision to cancel their contract with Dominion Voting Systems
Provide an alternative option, such as hand counting ballots
The board listened to several presentations from the Shasta County Election Office and representatives from both ES&S and Hart voting systems.
