A criminology professor at Florida State University suddenly left his $190,000-a-year position after being accused of fudging data to make racism seem more common.
Eric Stewart has had six of his studies - one of which dates as far back as 2006 - retracted amid allegations that he fabricated data by altering sample sizes.

GM leads $50 million funding round in EnergyX lithium startup

Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. and General Motors Co. on Tuesday said the automaker's investment arm GM Ventures is leading a $50 million Series B financing round for the lithium startup.
The companies also said they entered into a strategic agreement to develop EnergyX's lithium extraction and refinery technology. The collaboration between GM and EnergyX "is focused on unlocking the North American supply of lithium, a critical material for EV batteries by using EnergyX’s innovative process to maximize efficiency while improving sustainability for GM’s rapidly scaling EV production," the companies said in a release.

Interagency Effort Assessing Impact of Leaked Documents, Strategizing Way Forward

Inside the Defense Department, an effort is underway now to look at the scope and scale of the distribution on social media platforms of what appears to be classified Defense Department information.
Last week, Defense Department officials briefed Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III about a collection of images found circulating on various social media websites that appear to be — but are not yet confirmed to be — of classified documents, some related to Ukraine- and Russia-related operations.
"A Pentagon team continues to review and assess the veracity of the photographed documents that are circulating on social media sites, and that appear in some cases to contain sensitive and highly classified material," said Chris Meagher, the assistant to the secretary of defense for Public Affairs, during an online discussion with members of the media.
