Also, Pilate had Christ beaten (scourged) to within an inch of His life before He was put on the cross. He had done this to try to appease the Jews who demanded he be put to death. The beating probably sped the death process on the cross up quite a bit.

The South Fork Dairy was further noted to be a recent development in the community, having been in operation for less than a year in the area and employing around 60 people. This is the first instance of a fire or explosion at the business.

Did you know that the Davidic Psalm, Psalm 22, written >1000 years B.C., foreshadows the crucifixion of Christ? David was obviously not a Roman, but crucifixion was an unknown form of execution to the Jews of that day. It was a Roman punishment, and David would not have known of it. good job by Elon in eliciting an example of one of the many problems with "journalism" these days… the journalist asks a question designed to be controversial, without having a proper basis. simply regurgitates something someone else alleges as a basis. it's called laziness and gossip.

 

however, it would have been nice to pin him on the issue of what the definition of "hateful" is. Elon went down that road but then pivoted.

the season of arson usually coincides with the season of bankruptcy.

Pentagon leak exposes NATO special forces in Ukraine

 

One document lists almost 100 personnel, half of them British, deployed in the country

 

One of the classified US military documents leaked online shows the presence of 97 NATO special forces operators in Ukraine as of March 1, 2023, of which 50 were British, multiple UK outlets reported on Tuesday.

 

The Guardian reported it had seen two files, dated late February and early March, that listed 50 British special operatives as being active in Ukraine. The US had 14 special operatives in the country, and France, another 15.

 

The documents were labeled ‘secret’ and were prepared for senior US defense officials, according to the outlet. The daily updates contained information about NATO military operations, logistics, weapons deliveries, and training of Ukrainian troops.

 

Another UK outlet, Declassified, noted that the 14 US special operators were among the 29 Pentagon personnel present in Ukraine, which included the Marine security detachment at the US Embassy in Kiev and military attaches. Another 71 State Department personnel were listed as being in the country as well, amounting to a total of 100 Americans.

 

Declassified also said that the slide was marked “not releasable to foreign nationals.”

 

While US special operators come from two units, Navy SEALs and the Army’s Delta Force, the British definition extends beyond the Special Air Service (SAS) to paratroopers, marines, and other units. The prime minister is not obligated to brief Parliament on their deployment.

 

Dozens of classified US military documents have been discovered online over the past week, attracting considerable media attention. The US government has not officially confirmed their authenticity, but the Pentagon has launched a hunt for whoever leaked them, and the Department of Justice is conducting a criminal investigation as well. Russia and Ukraine have largely shrugged off the documents as irrelevant.

 

While Washington and London have never officially confirmed the presence of their special forces in Ukraine, multiple media outlets have reported on it over the past year. In April 2022, the French daily Le Figaro claimed that SAS and Delta Force operators had been present since the beginning of Russia’s military operation, waging a “secret war” on behalf of Ukraine.

 

The British Daily Mirror reported that dozens of retired SAS operators had gone to Ukraine to contribute their expertise to Kiev’s cause, funded through a private military company in an unnamed European country. Shortly after those revelations, the Times said a number of SAS operators had returned to Ukraine to teach Kiev’s soldiers how to operate British-made anti-tank rockets.

 

The outlet Grayzone reported in November that British special operators had been working through a private company called Prevail Partners to train Ukrainian saboteurs targeting Crimea. In December, a British military publication admitted that up to 300 Royal Marines had been deployed to Ukraine for “discrete operations.”

‘Us vs Them’: A Toxic Vision of Parent Engagement

The so-called “parents bill of rights” being debated in Congress will increase book bans and undermine local control and educator autonomy—while doing nothing to promote authentic, constructive parent involvement in schools.

 

From June 2021 through July 2022, book bans were imposed in 138 school districts in 32 states, affecting nearly 4 million students in more than 5,000 schools. That staggering number has likely increased in the past seven months, and it will only get worse if Congress soon decides to join forces with book ban proponents.

 

That could happen with passage of a bill that would not only accelerate censorship in schools, but also strip educator autonomy in curriculum decisions and impose a federal mandate that would severely weaken community voices in school decisions.

 

The bill’s supporters call it a “parents bill of rights,” another example of the deceptive but familiar ploy of using popular, digestible labels to disguise unpopular and destructive schemes. This bill, introduced in January, is now being debated in the House of Representatives and will have a floor vote later this week.

 

The “Parents Bill of Rights Act” (HR 5) contains a list of provisions already ensured by local and state law, including, but not limited to, a parent’s right to view a school’s budget or speak at a public school board meeting.

 

Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) hinted at the bill's more troubling provisions in his first speech to the chamber as Speaker of the House in January. McCarthy vowed to put an end to “woke indoctrination in schools,” a clear signal that right-wing lawmakers in Washington supported the onerous “gag orders” and book bans their counterparts at the state level are inflicting on educators.

 

That’s an agenda that is intended to drive a wedge between parents and their children’s school, not foster constructive and inclusive parent engagement, said NEA President Becky Pringle.

 

Instead of ensuring all students, no matter their race or background, have the chance to succeed, Pringle said, “McCarthy would rather seek to stoke racial and social division and distract us from what will really help our students thrive: an inspiring, inclusive, and age-appropriate curriculum that prepares each and every one of them for their future.”

The case against Assange poses a “grave and unprecedented threat” to press freedoms, the lawmakers argued

 

Several Democrats in the House have penned a letter calling for the immediate release of WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, urging the Department of Justice to drop its charges against the publisher and halt extradition proceedings aiming to bring him to the US to face prosecution under the World War I-era Espionage Act.

 

The group of progressive lawmakers, known as ‘the Squad’, addressed their letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday to mark the fourth anniversary since Assange’s 2019 arrest, saying the charges against him represent a serious threat to the free press.

 

“We write you today to call on you to uphold the First Amendment’s protections for the freedom of the press by dropping the criminal charges against Australian publisher Julian Assange and withdrawing the American extradition request currently pending with the British government,” the lawmakers said.

 

They went on to cite warnings from a long line of human rights, civil liberties, and press freedoms groups – among them the ACLU, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Defending Rights and Dissent, and Human Rights Watch – which have argued Assange’s case poses “a grave and unprecedented threat to everyday, constitutionally protected journalistic activity.”

 

Assange was arrested by the British authorities in 2019 after losing political asylum status at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where he was holed up for more than seven years for fear of prosecution by the US due to WikiLeaks’ publication of large amounts of classified material. Under then-President Donald Trump, the US Department of Justice unsealed a multi-count indictment against Assange on April 11, 2019 – the same day of his arrest – slapping him with 17 charges under the Espionage Act, which can potentially carry the death penalty.

 

He has been held at the UK’s maximum-security Belmarsh Prison in the years since, as Washington presses an extradition request to bring Assange to the US to face his charges. The publisher’s legal team has appealed a prior ruling in favor of extradition on the grounds of Assange’s declining health, a process which continues to play out in the British courts.

 

The Democratic lawmakers argued that Assange’s prosecution would “greatly [diminish] America’s credibility” as a defender of human rights around the globe and set a dangerous legal precedent “whereby journalists or publishers can be prosecuted.”

 

In the future the New York Times or Washington Post could be prosecuted when they publish important stories based on classified information. Or, just as dangerous for democracy, they may refrain from publishing such stories for fear of prosecution,” they continued.

 

Assange’s charges stem from the 2010 publication of a massive trove of classified documents obtained by US army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, including material suggesting US forces committed war crimes in Iraq and elsewhere. Manning was charged and sentenced to 35 years in prison, but was later released after President Barack Obama commuted Manning’s sentence.

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 0.1 percent in March on a seasonally adjusted basis, after increasing 0.4 percent in February, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 5.0 percent before seasonal adjustment.

 

The index for shelter was by far the largest contributor to the monthly all items increase. This more than offset a decline in the energy index, which decreased 3.5 percent over the month as all major energy component indexes declined. The food index was unchanged in March with the food at home index falling 0.3 percent.

 

The index for all items less food and energy rose 0.4 percent in March, after rising 0.5 percent in February. Indexes which increased in March include shelter, motor vehicle insurance, airline fares, household furnishings and operations, and new vehicles. The index for medical care and the index for used cars and trucks were among those that decreased over the month.

'Special' service: Declassified Guantanamo court filing suggests some 9/11 hijackers were CIA agents

An explosive court filing from the Guantanamo Military Commission – a court considering the cases of defendants accused of carrying out the "9/11" terrorist attacks on New York – has seemingly confirmed the unthinkable.

 

The document was originally published via a Guantanamo Bay court docket, but while public, it was completely redacted. Independent researchers obtained an unexpurgated copy. It is an account by the Commission’s lead investigator, DEA veteran Don Canestraro, of his personal probe of potential Saudi government involvement in the 9/11 attacks, conducted at the request of the defendants’ lawyers.

 

Two of the hijackers were being closely monitored by the CIA and may, wittingly or not, have been recruited by Langley long before they flew planes into the World Trade Center buildings.

 

The story of two men

Of the great many enduring mysteries of the 9/11 attacks still unresolved over two decades later, perhaps the biggest and gravest relate to the activities of Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar in the 18 months leading up to that fateful day. The pair traveled to the US on multi-entry visas in January 2000, despite having repeatedly been flagged by the CIA and NSA previously as likely Al Qaeda terrorists.

 

Mere days before their arrival, they attended an Al Qaeda summit in Kuala Lumpur, during which key details of the 9/11 attacks are likely to have been discussed and agreed. The meeting was secretly photographed and videotaped by Malaysian authorities at the direct request of the CIA’s Alec Station, a special unit set up to track Osama bin Laden, although oddly, no audio was captured.

 

Still, this background should’ve been sufficient to prevent Hazmi and Midhar from entering the US – or at least enough for the FBI to be informed of their presence in the country. As it was, they were admitted for a six-month period at Los Angeles International airport without incident, and Bureau representatives within Alec Station were blocked from sharing this information with their superiors by the CIA.

 

“We’ve got to tell the Bureau about this. These guys clearly are bad. One of them, at least, has a multiple-entry visa to the US. We've got to tell the FBI,” Mark Rossini, a member of Alec Station, has recalled discussing with his colleagues. “[But the CIA] said to me, ‘No, it’s not the FBI’s case, not the FBI’s jurisdiction.’”

UK Denies Accuracy of Pentagon Leak Claiming Western Special Forces in Ukraine

 

Allegedly leaked U.S. intelligence documents that claim a number of Western nations presently have special forces on the ground in Ukraine have “a serious level of innacuracy”, the UK government said.

 

Around 100 pages of U.S. intelligence reports are said to have been uploaded to social media sites and gaming forums in recent months, which if true would be one of the most serious breaches of security for America in years. Yet the content of these allegedly leaked pages and slides is only emerging slowly, with claims of one document outlining the deployment of special forces troops to Ukraine emerging overnight, five days after the leak was initially reported.

 

According to a slide reported by the UK’s state broadcaster the BBC, the U.S. intelligence assessment page says the United Kingdom has the largest deployment of special forces in Ukraine of NATO allies, with 50 individuals in-country. The UK was followed in this list by Lativa with 17, France with 15, the United States with 14, and the Netherlands with one soldier.

 

Of course, it is normal — if not widely discussed — for nations to keep specially trained troops in small numbers in foreign countries and particularly in war zones to protect their embassies and diplomatic staff. The United States, for instance, officially keeps a detachment of U.S. Marines at its Kyiv embassy and has done through the war, and also has troops deployed to keep track of the equipment the government donates to Ukraine.

 

The larger-than-expected figure of 50 special forces soldiers claimed by the alleged leak for the United Kingdom may go beyond what’s strictly needed for embassy protection, assuming it is true. A top British military commander has already admitted in 2022 that Royal Marine Commandos have been deployed in Ukraine, describing secret missions they performed in addition to protecting the embassy as: “discreet operations in a hugely sensitive environment and with a high level of political and military risk.”

 

Nevertheless, the British Ministry of Defence moved with uncharacteristic speed to pour cold water on the claim.

 

In a statement posted to social media without context but shortly after the special forces claims began to circulate, the Ministry of Defence said: “The widely reported leak of alleged classified information has demonstrated a serious level of inaccuracy.

 

“Readers should be cautious about taking at face value allegations that have the potential to spread disinformation.”

 

The Russians, for their part — although some Kremlin-amplified voices have already cast doubts on the veracity of the alleged leaks in recent days — say they already knew what the documents said without them having to be leaked. Official state news service TASS reports the comments of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov who said the claims that there are Western soldiers deployed to Ukraine was already understood.

 

Voicing his doubt on whether the leak was genuine or an American attempt at counterintelligence, Peskov said: “Like everyone else, we don’t know to what extent we can trust these documents”, yet nevertheless: “long before these documents popped up, we had and still have information that many instructors from NATO countries, including the UK, as well as fighters, are taking part in combat operations.”

Utah's Kirk Moore is soliciting and receiving advice from Vaccine Safety Research Foundation Executive Director Steve Kirsch, a philanthropist once courted by Democratic presidential hopefuls, on what documents to request in legal discovery in a bid to pursue "jury nullification."

 

The January grand jury indictment alleges Moore, his Plastic Surgery Institute of Utah and codefendants accepted "direct cash payments" or purported charitable donations in exchange for "fraudulently completed vaccination record cards" for more than 1,900 doses that were never administered, according to a Justice Department press release.

 

The alleged scheme destroyed more than $28,000 worth of government-provided vaccines, including those meant for children who actually received saline shots "at the request of their parents," according to DOJ.

 

Moore left a comment on Kirsch's newsletter last week about his prosecution and plan to "get as much data as possible" held by the feds to buttress his defense, asking what data he should request. "This could be monumental for all of us."

 

He invoked the so-called Brady rule, which requires prosecutors to disclose "material, exculpatory information" to the defense by default, without prior request, even if it only has the potential to reduce a sentence, according to Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute.

 

His interest was piqued by Kirsch's April 5 newsletter post on authorities' refusal to release granular data that could show the inherent risk of COVID vaccination. "Every state has both death and vax status databases" and a "simple merge of the two tables" would show how many days elapsed from each vaccine dose for each person who died, Kirsch wrote.

 

Moore's lawyer Kathryn Nester told Just the News she couldn't confirm what his defenses will be "at this time" but expects to file public "motions in the near future concerning discovery matters."

 

Kirsch believes federal prosecutors have given "the anti-vax movement in America the greatest gift ever" by charging Moore, potentially giving his defense "the secret public health records of every state" allegedly showing the neat overlap between COVID vaccination and deaths.

 

He "cannot be denied discovery to show that the vaccines are deadly," perhaps leading jurors to conclude his alleged actions may have saved lives, according to Kirsch.

 

The philanthropist pointed to historic and contemporary uses of jury nullification — an option defendants typically can't suggest to juries — such as in low-level drug prosecutions. A former federal prosecutor argued in The Washington Post in 2016 that jurors should use the tool to reduce racial disparities in prosecution.

SoftBank to sell VC firm to company led by Masayoshi Son's brother

 

A new investment company led by Masayoshi Son's brother will acquire one of SoftBank Group's venture capital firms for an undisclosed amount, the companies announced on Wednesday.

 

The Edgeof, a Singapore-based investment firm set up in March by Taizo Son and Atsushi Taira, aims to complete the acquisition of South Korea-based SoftBank Ventures Asia this year, according to the announcement. Taizo Son is the younger brother of SoftBank Group Chairman and CEO Masayoshi Son and Taira is a former SoftBank Corp. executive. The move comes as SoftBank shifts away from big, high-profile investments as its rising interest rates and a worsening global economic outlook pile pressure on its portfolio. "The Edgeof was founded … with an aim to transform the startup ecosystem across Asia by creating a supportive environment," the company said in a press release. Taizo is an investor himself, known for founding GungHo Online Entertainment, a major player in Japanese online games. He was also involved in the founding of Yahoo Japan with his brother.

 

SoftBank Ventures Asia has around $2 billion in assets under management and invests in startups focused on technology such as e-commerce. The firm will collaborate with Taizo Son's investment company Mistletoe once the acquisition is completed. "Mistletoe excels in seed and early-stage investments," The Edgeof co-founder and Chairman Atsushi Taira told Nikkei via email. "By merging the expertise and experience of both companies, we can cover a comprehensive range of startup stages and investment sectors." The sale of SoftBank Ventures Asia which is just a fraction of the size of the group's flagship Vision Fund fits with the group's strategy, according to Shinji Moriyuki, senior analyst at SBI Securities. "These kinds of reshuffles are common," Moriyuki said. "SoftBank's basic strategy now is to not take too many risks and to go forward in changing some of its assets into cash if possible," he added. "Small firms can easily make sharp turns. If Taizo has knowledge and a network of people in the field, it could be better to trust him on the job."

I love God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray every day for the conversion of hearts to the teachings of Christ. But that does not mean they love God.

The answer is no. Understanding God, Jesus, Scripture, and your own heart is a life long endeavor. I can put the text into your hands, but only your own self can find God in your heart and bring the scripture out in your daily life. The problem we most often will run into is the super watered down generic Christians that say we need to love everyone. While this is true, not everyone will be saved and it is not up to us to save them. We can spread the word of God. We can discuss scripture. We can pray for everyone to turn to God. But in the end those who do not love God will be struck by brimstone. It is not your duty as a Christian to convert a Satanist, however one repentant sinner is worth 1000 righteous people. I desire all to turn towards God, but there are some that will not. All you can do is pray for them. But when someone asks you to come to their animal sacrifice and drink the blood of goat or some shit your duty is to say fuck no. That's not hating them. That isn't even disrespecting their beliefs. It also doesn't mean you don't have a desire for them to be saved. But if they don't find it in their own heart, they never will.

Since Easter is passing the catholic church will be firing up their Right of Christian Initiates of Adults (RCIA) classes soon for all those who which to join the catholic faith. This is the road to catholic baptism… if you wish such a thing. If not then find a different church, or a different study group. The RCIA classes usually have a good deal of information and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to learn more about Christianity even if you do not intend on becoming a baptized catholic. They will help you analyze scripture and understand its multiple meanings. Generally they're geared towards newcomers of for those struggling with understanding scripture who might benefit from some structured learning.

The court Jews, as the agents of the rulers, and in times of war as the purveyors and the treasurers of the state, enjoyed special privileges.

They were under the jurisdiction of the court marshal, and were not compelled to wear the Jews' badge.

They were permitted to stay wherever the Emperor held his court, and to live anywhere in the Holy Roman Empire, even in places where no other Jews were allowed.

Wherever they settled they could buy houses, slaughter meat according to the Jewish ritual, and maintain a rabbi. They could sell their goods wholesale and retail, and could not be taxed or assessed higher than the Christians.

The documents, published on the site DCLeaks.com, appear to be May 2015 and October 2015 board meeting books of the foundations’ U.S. programs division and a Feb. 9, 2016, memo on the U.S. programs’ Opportunities Fund.

 

“By harnessing the papal visit to lift up the Pope’s searing critique of what he calls ‘an economy of exclusion and inequality’ and his dismissal of ‘trickle down’ theories, PICO and FPL will work tobuild a bridgeto a larger conversation about bread-and-butter economic concerns andshift national paradigmsand priorities in the run-up to the 2016 presidential campaign,” said the May 2015 document.

 

TheOctober2015 document said thePope’s visit was an opportunity for the two grantees to focus on refugees, migrants, over-incarceration and immigrant rights, “while also bringing new energy into the 2016 presidential conversation.” The February 2016 memo said thefunding allowed organizations to maximize the impact of the Pope’s visit to emphasize “the humanity of prisoners, immigrants and the poor.”

 

The texts suggested this activity would include using the influence of Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga and sending a delegation to the Vatican to allow the Pope to “hear directly from low-income Catholics in America.” Cardinal Maradiaga, the archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, coordinates the council of cardinals advising Pope Francis.

Simple things like getting someone to actually read and examine their sacred scriptures, the history of these writings, the protagonists within the writings, who branded them as the authoritative writ, all without destroying their faith is painstaking and requires patience.

When the "event" occurs and painful truths come out, many will want to know what they can believe, these questions can then be put on a fast track. The thing is I hate when people say the question is settled it never is. It can not be, and that is a part of faith but so is knowing that what you may think may be indeed wrong. I'm sure everyone knows about O'Keefe's latest with the ActBlue donations. I discovered how to DL the CSV data for my zipcode from the FEC website so that I could take a closer look. There were over 29k records and it wasn't practical to do anything with it in excel etc. I wrote some code to ingest the data just to see if anything crazy fell out. Well I just got done doing some simple passes at the data and it does look like something weird is going on with ActBlue, the dems and UNEMPLOYED donations.

Since we're talking hypotheticals:

 

All religions, churches, denominations, and sects attempt to bridge the gap between the perceivable known and the unknown possible. The difference between the scientific approach and the faith-based one is the scientific one admits that the unknown is such that the assumption of a final "source" is antithetical to real knowledge, and the faith-based makes the assumption beforehand with discovery of knowledge being attributed to the assumption's direction and guidance; so long as you are properly focused on it. This could lead to an interesting discussion (tangent) of "multiple paths, same destination", but that's not the point to address your post with, nor does it even really scratch the surface in analyzing how these institutions were used to control the populace to begin with.

 

Without having someone "in the know" to give you the answers, you'd have to start with an assumption the control mechanism were put in place out of concern over one of a few things; perhaps chiefly:

  1. Humanity would outright reject any and all forms of authoritarianism and control - ultimately able to be free and decide their own course (not in the best interest of a small group wishing to maintain a perch above their fellow man, woman, and child).

  2. #1 above, plus there might just be utter chaos for a while as humanity nearly causes itself to become extinct from the sudden realization that they've been led astray their entire lives and the subsequent revolt would lead to a disastrous outcome.

 

So the concerns behind giving everyone in the world the truth right off, without some sort of concept to bridge the morality gap out of a clearer understanding of purposeful existence over nihilistic, selfish endeavors, would likely lead to a chaotic and ruinous outcome. It would be a higher goal to find a way to focus deontological and consequentialist approaches to ensure a conceptual understanding a morality is passed on. Unfortunately, the assumption is that people will embrace the "blackpill", if you will, and do as they wish (consequences be damned). It almost seems as though there are some that are hellbent on retaining at least some portions of the old institutions because they lack faith that humanity might be able to find its own way without some "divine inspiration" (hellfire and brimstone) to keep the less observant in check. Others in that same group might think that the fath-based perspective is self-evident and never let go of it. But you're going to have others push against this and range from "I understand why you think that way and it's fine" to "You're an idiot. Why do you hold on to these proven false belief systems?".

 

I think the best approach, or at least the most sincere and compassionate one, is to constantly remind yourself that at any time there could be something observed in your own life's path that affirms or changes your position on the scientific vs faith-based stance, and keep an open mind to keep the conversation open. Once you decide to be immovable on something, conversation stops and growth for everyone is stunted. Being cordial is key, debate is necessary, and defending each others' right to hold either/any perspective on the matter at any given point in time is a central concept to a successful, cooperative path forward for society.
